< Proverbs 14 >
1 Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.

2 He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, but he who is perverse in his ways despises him.

3 The fool’s talk brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them.
Afka nacasyada waxaa ka soo biqla kibir; Laakiinse kuwa caqliga leh bushimahooda ayaa iyaga dhawri doona.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean, but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
Meeshii aan dibi joogin qabaalkii ay wax ka cuni jireen waa baabbah; Laakiinse kordhinta badanu waxay ku timaadaa xoogga dibiga.
5 A truthful witness will not lie, but a false witness pours out lies.
Markhaatigii aamin ahu been ma sheego, Laakiinse markhaatigii been ahu been buu ku hadlaa.
6 A scoffer seeks wisdom, and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to a discerning person.
Kii wax quudhsadaa xigmad buu doondoonaa, mana helo, Laakiinse aqoontu waa u fudud dahay kii waxgarasho leh.
7 Stay away from a foolish man, for you won’t find knowledge on his lips.
Nacaska hortiisa ka fogow, Waayo, bushimihiisa aqoon ka heli maysid.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.
Ninkii miyir leh xigmaddiisu waa inuu jidkiisa gartaa, Laakiinse nacasyada nacasnimadoodu waa khiyaano.
9 Fools mock at making atonement for sins, but amongst the upright there is good will.
Nacasyadu dembigay ku majaajiloodaan, Laakiinse kuwa qumman waxaa ku dhex jirta raallinimo.
10 The heart knows its own bitterness and joy; he will not share these with a stranger.
Qalbigu qadhaadhnimadiisuu yaqaan, Oo shisheeyena farxaddiisa lama qaybsado.
11 The house of the wicked will be overthrown, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
Guriga kuwa sharka leh waa la afgembiyi doonaa, Laakiinse taambuugga kuwa qummanu waa barwaaqoobi doonaa.
12 There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
Waxaa jirta waddo dadka la hagaagsan, Laakiinse dhammaadkeedu waa waddooyinka dhimashada.
13 Even in laughter the heart may be sorrowful, and mirth may end in heaviness.
Qalbigu xataa qosol waa ku murugoodaa, Oo farxad dhammaadkeeduna waa caloolxumo.
14 The unfaithful will be repaid for his own ways; likewise a good man will be rewarded for his ways.
Kii xaqnimada qalbigiisa dib ugaga noqdaa jidkiisuu ka dhergi doonaa, Oo ninkii wanaagsanuna wuxuu ka dhergi doonaa naftiisa.
15 A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways.
Kii garaaddaranu eray kasta wuu rumaystaa, Laakiinse kii miyir lahu socodkiisa aad buu u fiiriyaa.
16 A wise man fears and shuns evil, but the fool is hot headed and reckless.
Ninkii caqli lahu waa cabsadaa, oo sharka wuu ka noqdaa; Laakiinse nacasku waa ciishoodaa, wuuna isku kalsoon yahay.
17 He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.
Kii degdeg u cadhoodaa nacasnimuu wax ku sameeyaa, Oo ninkii sharnimo hindisana waa la neceb yahay.
18 The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Garaadlaawayaashu nacasnimay dhaxlaan, Laakiinse kuwii miyir leh waxaa madaxa loo saaraa taaj aqoon ah.
19 The evil bow down before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
Kuwa sharka lahu kuwa wanaagsan hortooda ayay ku foororsadaan, Oo kuwa xunxunna waxay ku foororsadaan irdaha kuwa xaqa ah.
20 The poor person is shunned even by his own neighbour, but the rich person has many friends.
Miskiinka xataa deriskiisu waa neceb yahay, Laakiinse taajirku saaxiibbo badan buu leeyahay.
21 He who despises his neighbour sins, but he who has pity on the poor is blessed.
Kii deriskiisa quudhsadaa wuu dembaabaa, Laakiinse kii miskiinka u naxariistaa waa barakaysan yahay.
22 Don’t they go astray who plot evil? But love and faithfulness belong to those who plan good.
Kuwa sharka ku fikiraa sow ma qaldamaan? Laakiinse kuwa wanaagga ku fikira waxaa u ahaan doona naxariis iyo run.
23 In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty.
Hawl kasta faa'iidaa ku jirta, Laakiinse hadalka bushimuhu wuxuu keenaa caydhnimo keliya.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches, but the folly of fools crowns them with folly.
Kuwa caqliga leh taajkoodu waa maalkooda, Laakiinse nacasyada nacasnimadoodu waa nacasnimo keliya.
25 A truthful witness saves souls, but a false witness is deceitful.
Markhaatigii run ahu nafuu samatabbixiyaa, Laakiinse kii been sheegaa waa khaayin.
26 In the fear of the LORD is a secure fortress, and he will be a refuge for his children.
Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisu waxay leedahay kalsoonaan xoog leh, Oo carruurtiisuna waxay lahaan doonaan meel ay magangalaan.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning people from the snares of death.
Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisu waa il nololeed, Si dabinnada dhimashada looga leexdo.
28 In the multitude of people is the king’s glory, but in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
Sharafta boqorku waxay ku jirtaa dadka badnaantiisa, Laakiinse baabba'a amiirku wuxuu ku jiraa dadka yaraantiisa.
29 He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.
Kii cadhada u gaabiyaa waa garasho badan yahay; Laakiinse kii degdeg u cadhoodaa nacasnimuu sarraysiiyaa.
30 The life of the body is a heart at peace, but envy rots the bones.
Qalbigii degganu waa nolosha jidhka, Laakiinse hinaaso waa qudhunka lafaha.
31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honours him.
Kii miskiinka dulmaa wuxuu caayaa Kan sameeyey, Laakiinse kii ka baahan u naxariistaa wuu murweeyaa.
32 The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.
Kii shar leh waxaa lagu afgembiyaa sharnimadiisa, Laakiinse kan xaqa ahu rajuu leeyahay markuu dhinto.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding, and is even made known in the inward part of fools.
Xigmaddu waxay taal kii garasho leh qalbigiisa, Laakiinse wixii nacasyada uurkooda ku jiraa waa ismuujiyaa.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.
Xaqnimadu quruun way sarraysiisaa, Laakiinse dembigu waa u ceeb dad kasta.
35 The king’s favour is towards a servant who deals wisely, but his wrath is towards one who causes shame.
