Nehemiah 7

1 Now when the wall was built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

൧എന്നാൽ മതിൽ പുനരുദ്ധരിച്ച് കതകുകൾ വയ്ക്കുകയും വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാരെയും സംഗീതക്കാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും നിയമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തശേഷം

2 I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.

൨എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ഹനാനിയെയും, കോട്ടയുടെ അധിപൻ ഹനന്യാവിനെയും യെരൂശലേമിന് അധിപതികളായി ഞാൻ നിയമിച്ചു; കാരണം, ഇവൻ പലരെക്കാളും വിശ്വസ്തനും ദൈവഭക്തനും ആയിരുന്നു.

3 I said to them, “Don’t let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them; and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house.”

൩ഞാൻ അവരോട്: “വെയിൽ ഉറയ്ക്കുന്നതുവരെ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിൽ തുറക്കരുത്; നിങ്ങൾ അരികെ നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ കതക് അടച്ച് ഓടാമ്പൽ ഇടുവിക്കേണം; യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളിൽ നിന്ന് കാവല്ക്കാരായി നിയമിച്ച്, ഓരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ കാവൽസ്ഥാനത്തും അവനവന്റെ വീടിന്റെ നേരെയുമായി നിർത്തിക്കൊള്ളേണം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

4 Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.

൪എന്നാൽ പട്ടണം വിശാലവും വലിയതും അകത്ത് ജനം ചുരുക്കവും ആയിരുന്നു; വീടുകൾ പണിതിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

5 My God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be listed by genealogy. I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found this written in it:

൫വംശാവലിപ്രകാരം എണ്ണം നോക്കേണ്ടതിന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും പ്രമാണികളെയും ജനത്തെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ ആദ്യം മടങ്ങിവന്നവരുടെ ഒരു വംശാവലിരേഖ എനിക്ക് കണ്ടുകിട്ടി; അതിൽ ഇപ്രകാരം എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു:

6 These are the children of the province who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city,

൬“ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ പിടിച്ച് കൊണ്ടുപോയ ബദ്ധന്മാരിൽ പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്ന് മടങ്ങി, യെരൂശലേമിലേയ്ക്കും യെഹൂദയിലേയ്ക്കും അവനവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കും വന്നവരായ ദേശനിവാസികൾ:

7 who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

൭ഇവർ സെരുബ്ബാബേൽ, യേശുവ, നെഹെമ്യാവ്; അസര്യാവ്, രയമ്യാവ്, നഹമാനി, മൊർദെഖായി, ബിൽശാൻ, മിസ്പേരെത്ത്, ബിഗ്വായി, നെഹൂം, ബയനാ എന്നിവരോടുകൂടെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽജനത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ സംഖ്യാവിവരം:

8 The children of Parosh: two thousand and one hundred and seventy-two.

൮പരോശിന്റെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തി ഒരുനൂറ്റി എഴുപത്തിരണ്ട്.

9 The children of Shephatiah: three hundred and seventy-two.

൯ശെഫത്യാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ മുന്നൂറ്റെഴുപത്തിരണ്ട്.

10 The children of Arah: six hundred and fifty-two.

൧൦ആരഹിന്റെ മക്കൾ അറുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തിരണ്ട്.

11 The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab: two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.

൧൧യേശുവയുടെയും യോവാബിന്റെയും മക്കളിൽ പഹത്ത്-മോവാബിന്റെ മക്കൾ രണ്ടായിരത്തെണ്ണൂറ്റിപ്പതിനെട്ട്.

12 The children of Elam: one thousand and two hundred and fifty-four.

൧൨ഏലാമിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആയിരത്തിരുനൂറ്റമ്പത്തിനാല്.

13 The children of Zattu: eight hundred and forty-five.

൧൩സഥൂവിന്റെ മക്കൾ എണ്ണൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ച്.

14 The children of Zaccai: seven hundred and sixty.

30 The men of Ramah and Geba: six hundred and twenty-one.

31 The men of Michmas: one hundred and twenty-two.

൩൧മിക്മാസ് നിവാസികൾ നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിരണ്ട്.

32 The men of Bethel and Ai: one hundred and twenty-three.

40 The children of Immer: one thousand and fifty-two.

൪൩ലേവ്യർ: ഹോദെവയുടെ മക്കളിൽ കദ്മീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ യേശുവയുടെ മക്കൾ എഴുപത്തിനാല്.

44 The singers: the children of Asaph: one hundred and forty-eight.

൪൪സംഗീതക്കാർ: ആസാഫ്യർ നൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തെട്ട്.

45 The gatekeepers: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai: one hundred and thirty-eight.

46 The temple servants: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

47 the children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,

48 the children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Salmai,

൪൮ലെബാനയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹഗാബയുടെ മക്കൾ, സൽമായിയുടെ മക്കൾ,

49 the children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,

൪൯ഹാനാന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിദ്ദേലിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗാഹരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, രെയായ്യാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

50 the children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

൫൦രെസീന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെക്കോദയുടെ മക്കൾ,

51 the children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Paseah,

൫൧ഗസ്സാമിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഉസ്സയുടെ മക്കൾ, പാസേഹയുടെ മക്കൾ,

52 the children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephushesim,

൫൨ബേസായിയുടെ മക്കൾ, മെയൂന്യരുടെ മക്കൾ, നെഫീത്യരുടെ മക്കൾ,

53 the children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,

൫൩ബക്ക്ബൂക്കിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഹക്കൂഫയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹർഹൂരിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ബസ്ലീത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

54 the children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

൫൪മെഹീദയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹർശയുടെ മക്കൾ,

55 the children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Temah,

൫൫ബർക്കോസിന്റെ മക്കൾ, സീസെരയുടെ മക്കൾ,

56 the children of Neziah, and the children of Hatipha.

൫൬തേമഹിന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെസീഹയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹതീഫയുടെ മക്കൾ.

57 The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,

൫൭ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ മക്കൾ; സോതായിയുടെ മക്കൾ, സോഫേരെത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

58 the children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,

൫൮പെരീദയുടെ മക്കൾ, യാലയുടെ മക്കൾ, ദർക്കോന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിദ്ദേലിന്റെ മക്കൾ,

59 the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth Hazzebaim, and the children of Amon.

60 All the temple servants and the children of Solomon’s servants were three hundred and ninety-two.

൬൦ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാരും ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ മക്കളും ആകെ മുന്നൂറ്റിത്തൊണ്ണൂറ്റിരണ്ട്.

61 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; but they could not show their fathers’ houses, nor their offspring, whether they were of Israel:

൬൧തേൽ-മേലെഹ്, തേൽ-ഹർശാ, കെരൂബ്, അദ്ദോൻ, ഇമ്മേർ എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് മടങ്ങിവന്നവർ ഇവർ തന്നേ. എങ്കിലും അവർ യിസ്രായേല്യർ തന്നെയോ എന്ന് തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനവും വംശോല്പത്തിയും കാണിപ്പാൻ അവർക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

62 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda: six hundred and forty-two.

൬൨ദെലായാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ, തോബീയാവിന്റെ മക്കൾ, നെക്കോദയുടെ മക്കൾ; ആകെ അറുനൂറ്റി നാല്പത്തിരണ്ട് പേർ.

63 Of the priests: the children of Hobaiah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.

൬൩പുരോഹിതന്മാരിൽ: ഹോബയുടെ മക്കൾ, ഹക്കോസ്സിന്റെ മക്കൾ, ഗിലെയാദ്യനായ ബർസില്ലായിയുടെ പുത്രിമാരിൽ ഒരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ച് അവരുടെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ബർസില്ലായിയുടെ മക്കൾ.

64 These searched for their genealogical records, but couldn’t find them. Therefore they were deemed disqualified and removed from the priesthood.

൬൪ഇവർ വംശാവലിരേഖ അന്വേഷിച്ചു, കണ്ടില്ലതാനും; അതുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ അശുദ്ധരെന്നെണ്ണി പൗരോഹിത്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

65 The governor told them not to eat of the most holy things until a priest stood up to minister with Urim and Thummim.

൬൫ഊരീമും തുമ്മീമും ഉള്ള ഒരു പുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ അവർ അതിപരിശുദ്ധമായത് തിന്നരുതെന്ന് ദേശാധിപതി അവരോട് കല്പിച്ചു.

66 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand and three hundred and sixty,

൬൬സഭയാകെ നാല്പത്തീരായിരത്തി മുന്നൂറ്ററുപത് പേരായിരുന്നു.

67 in addition to their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand and three hundred and thirty-seven. They had two hundred and forty-five singing men and singing women.

൬൭അവരുടെ ദാസീദാസന്മാരായ ഏഴായിരത്തിമുന്നൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തേഴുപേരെ കൂടാതെ തന്നെ; അവർക്ക് ഇരുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ച് സംഗീതക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരത്തികളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

68 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six; their mules, two hundred and forty-five;

൬൮എഴുനൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്താറ് കുതിരകളും ഇരുനൂറ്റിനാല്പത്തഞ്ച് കോവർകഴുതകളും

69 their camels, four hundred and thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand and seven hundred and twenty.

൬൯നാനൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തഞ്ച് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളും ആറായിരത്തെഴുനൂറ്റിരുപത് കഴുതകളും അവർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

70 Some from amongst the heads of fathers’ households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.

൭൦പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ വേലയ്ക്കായിട്ട് ദാനങ്ങൾ കൊടുത്തു; ദേശാധിപതി ഏകദേശം 8. 5 കിലോഗ്രാം സ്വര്‍ണ്ണവും അമ്പത് കിണ്ണങ്ങളും അഞ്ഞൂറ്റിമുപ്പത് പുരോഹിതവസ്ത്രവും ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്ക് കൊടുത്തു.

71 Some of the heads of fathers’ households gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand and two hundred minas of silver.

൭൧പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ വേലയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്ക് 170 കിലോഗ്രാം സ്വര്‍ണവും ഏകദേശം 1,200 കിലോഗ്രാം വെള്ളിയും കൊടുത്തു.

72 That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, plus two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests’ garments.

൭൨ശേഷമുള്ള ജനം ഏകദേശം 170 കിലോഗ്രാം സ്വര്‍ണവും 1,100 കിലോഗ്രാം വെള്ളിയും അറുപത്തേഴ് പുരോഹിതവസ്ത്രവും കൊടുത്തു.

73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.

൭൩അങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും വാതിൽകാവല്ക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരും ജനത്തിൽ ചിലരും ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാരും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലും അവരവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്തു.
