Isaiah 63

1 Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? Who is this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

¿Quién es este que viene de Edom, con ropas de color rojo sangre de Bosra? ¿Majestuoso en su vestidura, caminando con orgullo en su gran fuerza? Yo que hablo en justicia, poderoso para la salvación.

2 Why is your clothing red, and your garments like him who treads in the wine vat?

¿Por qué está roja tu ropa y por qué tus ropas son como las de alguien que está triturando las uvas?

3 “I have trodden the wine press alone. Of the peoples, no one was with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath. Their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing.

He estado pisoteando las uvas solo en el lagar, y de los pueblos no había ningún hombre conmigo; en mi ira y en mi pasión, fueron aplastados bajo mis pies; y mis ropas han sido salpicadas con su sangre, y toda mi ropa ha sido profanada.

4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed has come.

Porque el día de venganza está en mi corazón, y ha llegado el año de mis redimidos.

5 I looked, and there was no one to help; and I wondered that there was no one to uphold. Therefore my own arm brought salvation to me. My own wrath upheld me.

Y vi que no había quien ayudara, y me asombre que no hubiera quien apoyara; así que mi brazo hizo la obra de la salvación, y mi ira fue mi apoyo.

6 I trod down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath. I poured their lifeblood out on the earth.”

Y en mi furor los pueblos fueron aplastados bajo mis pies, y los embriagué en mi ira, y derribaré a tierra sus fortalezas.

7 I will tell of the loving kindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has given to us, and the great goodness towards the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

Daré noticias de las misericordias del Señor, y sus grandes obras, incluso todas las cosas que el Señor ha hecho por nosotros, en su gran gracia a la casa de Israel; incluso todo lo que ha hecho por nosotros en sus innumerables misericordias.

8 For he said, “Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely;” so he became their Saviour.

Porque él dijo: Verdaderamente ellos son mi pueblo, hijos que no mienten; así que él fue su salvador de todos sus problemas.

9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

En toda angustia de ellos él fue angustiado, y él ángel de su presencia los salvo; en su amor y en su compasión él los liberó, y él los tomó en sus brazos, cuidándolos a través de los años.

10 But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.

Pero ellos fueron contra él, causando dolor a su Santo Espíritu; por eso se volvió contra ellos y les hizo la guerra.

11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit amongst them?”

Entonces llegaron a su mente los tiempos antiguos, los días de Moisés, su siervo; y dijeron: ¿Dónde está el que los sacó del mar con el pastor de su rebaño? ¿Dónde está el que puso entre ellos su Espíritu Santo?

12 Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses’ right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

El que hizo que su glorioso poder, fuera a la diestra de Moisés, por quien las aguas se separaron ante ellos, para hacerse un nombre eterno;

13 Who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble?

¿Quién los hizo pasar por las aguas profundas, como un caballo en la tierra baldía?

14 As the livestock that go down into the valley, the LORD’s Spirit caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name.

Como el ganado que desciende al valle, ellos fueron sin caer, con el espíritu del Señor guiándonos; así que fuiste delante de tu pueblo, para hacerte un gran nombre.

15 Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained towards me.

Mira desde el cielo, desde tu santa y gloriosa morada: ¿Dónde está tu celo y tu poder? No detengas el movimiento de tu compasión y tus misericordias.

16 For you are our Father, though Abraham doesn’t know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, LORD, are our Father. Our Redeemer from everlasting is your name.

Porque tú eres nuestro padre, aunque Abraham no nos conoce, e Israel no nos recuerde en nada: tú, Señor, eres nuestro padre; Desde los primeros días has tomado nuestra causa.

17 O LORD, why do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

Oh Señor, ¿por qué nos envías a vagar por tus caminos, endureciendo nuestros corazones, para que no tengamos miedo de ti? Vuelve, por tus siervos, las tribus de tu herencia.

18 Your holy people possessed it but a little while. Our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary.

¿Por poco tiempo tu pueblo santo fue dueño de tu santuario, para que haya sido aplastado bajo los pies de nuestros enemigos?

19 We have become like those over whom you never ruled, like those who were not called by your name.

Nos hemos convertido en aquellos que nunca fueron gobernados por ti, como si nunca hubiéramos sido llamados por tu nombre.
