Ezekiel 14
1 Then some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.
有些以色列的長老來見我，坐在我面前。
2 The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
那時上主的話傳給我說：「
3 “Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be enquired of at all by them?
人子，這些人心中供著他們自己的邪神，在自己面前放著犯罪的絆腳石，我豈能讓他們來求問﹖
4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
為此，你要告訴他們，對他們說：吾主上主這樣說：以色列家族中的任何人，或心中仍供著自己的神，在自己面前仍放著犯罪的絆腳石，而來求見先知，我上主必按照他偶像的數目親自答覆他，
5 that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.”’
為能打動以色列家族的心，因為他們為了所有的偶像疏遠了我。
6 “Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.
為此，你應對以色列家族說：吾主上主這樣說：回頭罷! 離開你們的偶像，放棄你們所有的醜惡!
7 “‘“For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to enquire for himself of me, I the LORD will answer him by myself.
以色列家族中任何人，甚或在以色列中僑居的外國人，如果疏遠了我，把自己的邪神供在心中，把犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，而敢來見先知求問我，我上主必親自答覆他。
8 I will set my face against that man and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from amongst my people. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
我必正面打擊這樣的人，使他成為一種警戒和笑柄，把他由人民中剷除：如此，你們必承認我是上主。
9 “‘“If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from amongst my people Israel.
若一個先知受騙而發言，這是我上主哄騙了那先知；我要伸手打擊他，從我人民以色列中間把他消滅。
10 They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
求問者與先知的罪一樣，都應負咎。
11 that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, neither defile themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,” says the Lord GOD.’”
如此，以色列家族不再遠離我而走入迷途，不再受任何罪惡的玷污；他們要作我的人民，我要作他們的天主：這是吾主上主的斷語。」
12 The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
上主的話傳給我說：「
13 “Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—
人子，若某地背信違約，犯罪得罪我，我必伸手打擊她，斷絕她的糧源，使饑荒降到那地，把人和獸從那地剷除。
14 though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness,” says the Lord GOD.
縱然在那裏有諾厄、達尼爾和約伯三個人，這三個人也只能為了自己的義德救自己──吾主上主的斷語──
15 “If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals—
或者我使猛獸橫行那地，滅絕人跡，使那地變為荒野，由於猛獸而沒人敢經過。
16 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.
縱然在那裏有這三個人，我指著我的生命起誓──吾主上主的斷語──他們也不能救自己的子女，只能救自己，那地方必變為荒蕪。
17 “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off from it man and animal’—
或者我使刀兵來到那地，且吩咐說：刀兵應橫行那地，剷除那裏的人和獸類!
18 though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves.
縱然在那裏有這三個人，我指著我的生命起誓──吾主上主的斷語──他們也不能救自己的子女，而只能救自己。
19 “Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and animal—
或者使那地發生瘟疫，以屠殺發洩我的憤怒，好從那裏滅絕人和獸類，
20 though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness.”
縱然諾厄、達尼爾和約伯也在那裏，我指著我的生命起誓──吾主上主的斷語──他們連一子一女也救不出，只能因自己的義德救自己。
21 For the Lord GOD says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgements on Jerusalem—the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence—to cut off from it man and animal!
因為吾主上主這樣說：我雖然使刀兵、饑荒、猛獸、瘟疫四大災難降在耶路撒冷，為滅絕那裏的人和獸類；
22 Yet, behold, there will be left a remnant in it that will be carried out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they will come out to you, and you will see their way and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought on it.
但是那裏還有幸免的人，領著子女逃出。看，他們要到你們這裏來，使你們看見他們的行為和動作，而對我加於耶路撒冷的災難和我對她所行的一切，獲得寬慰。
23 They will comfort you, when you see their way and their doings; then you will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause,” says the Lord GOD.
當你們看見他們的行為和動作時，你們必能獲得安慰：這樣你們必然知道：我在耶路撒冷行了所行的一切，並非無因──吾主上主的斷語。」
