< 1 Kings 5 >
1 Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the place of his father, and Hiram had always loved David.
Nígbà tí Hiramu ọba Tire sì gbọ́ pé, a ti fi òróró yan Solomoni ní ọba ní ipò Dafidi baba rẹ̀, ó sì rán àwọn ikọ̀ rẹ̀ sí Solomoni, nítorí ó ti fẹ́ràn Dafidi ní ọjọ́ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
2 Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
Solomoni sì ránṣẹ́ yìí padà sí Hiramu pé,
3 “You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.
“Ìwọ mọ̀ pé Dafidi baba mi kò le kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ̀, nítorí ogun tí ó wà yí i káàkiri, títí Olúwa fi fi gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ sábẹ́ àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀.
4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side. There is no enemy and no evil occurrence.
Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi ti fún mi ní ìsinmi ní ibi gbogbo, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sì sí ọ̀tá tàbí ìjàǹbá kan tí ó ṣe.
5 Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’
Nítorí náà mo gbèrò láti kọ́ ilé fún orúkọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run mi, bí Olúwa ti sọ fún Dafidi baba mi, nígbà tí ó wí pé, ‘Ọmọ rẹ tí èmi yóò gbé ka orí ìtẹ́ rẹ ní ipò rẹ ni yóò kọ́ ilé náà fún orúkọ mi.’
6 Now therefore command that cedar trees be cut for me out of Lebanon. My servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is nobody amongst us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”
“Nítorí náà ni kí o pàṣẹ pé kí wọn kí ó gé igi kedari Lebanoni fún mi wá. Àwọn ènìyàn mi yóò ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú tìrẹ, Èmi yóò sì san owó ọ̀yà tí ìwọ bá ránṣẹ́ fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ. Ìwọ mọ̀ pé, a kò ní ẹnìkan nínú wa tí ó mọ bí a ti ń gé igi bí àwọn ará Sidoni.”
7 When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, “Blessed is the LORD today, who has given to David a wise son to rule over this great people.”
Nígbà tí Hiramu sì gbọ́ iṣẹ́ Solomoni, inú rẹ̀ sì dùn gidigidi, ó sì wí pé, “Ògo ni fún Olúwa lónìí, nítorí tí ó ti fún Dafidi ní ọlọ́gbọ́n ọmọ láti ṣàkóso àwọn ìlú ńlá yìí.”
8 Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message which you have sent to me. I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning cypress timber.
Hiramu sì ránṣẹ́ sí Solomoni pé, “Èmi ti gbọ́ iṣẹ́ tí ìwọ rán sí mi, èmi yóò sì ṣe gbogbo èyí tí o fẹ́ ní pípèsè igi kedari àti ní ti igi firi.
9 My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea. I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you specify to me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you will receive them. You will accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.”
Àwọn ènìyàn mi yóò mú igi náà sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti Lebanoni wá sí Òkun, èmi ó sì fi wọ́n ránṣẹ́ sí ọ ní fífò lójú omi Òkun Ńlá títí dé ibi tí ìwọ ó na ìka sí fún mi. Níbẹ̀ ni èmi yóò ti yà wọ́n sọ́tọ̀, ìwọ yóò sì kó wọn lọ. Ìwọ yóò sì gba ìfẹ́ mi nípa pípèsè oúnjẹ fún ilé mi.”
10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar timber and cypress timber according to all his desire.
Báyìí ni Hiramu sì pèsè igi kedari àti igi firi tí Solomoni ń fẹ́ fún un,
11 Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat for food to his household, and twenty cors of pure oil. Solomon gave this to Hiram year by year.
Solomoni sì fún Hiramu ní ogún ẹgbẹ̀rún òsùwọ̀n ọkà oúnjẹ fún ilé rẹ̀, àti ogún òsùwọ̀n òróró dáradára. Solomoni sì ń tẹ̀síwájú láti ṣe èyí fún Hiramu lọ́dọọdún.
12 The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.
Olúwa sì fún Solomoni ní ọgbọ́n, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣèlérí fún un. Ìrẹ́pọ̀ àlàáfíà sì wà láàrín Hiramu àti Solomoni, àwọn méjèèjì sì ṣe àdéhùn.
13 King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
Solomoni ọba sì ṣa asìnrú ènìyàn jọ ní gbogbo Israẹli; àwọn tí ń sìnrú náà jẹ́ ẹgbàá mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún ènìyàn.
14 He sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: for a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the men subject to forced labour.
Ó sì rán wọn lọ sí Lebanoni, ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá lóṣooṣù, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n lo oṣù kan ní Lebanoni, wọn a sì gbé ilé ní oṣù méjì. Adoniramu ni ó ṣe olórí àwọn asìnrú náà.
15 Solomon had seventy thousand who bore burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains,
Solomoni sì ní ẹgbẹ̀rún ní ọ̀nà àádọ́rin ènìyàn tí ń ru ẹrù àti ọ̀kẹ́ mẹ́rin gbẹ́nàgbẹ́nà lórí òkè,
16 besides Solomon’s chief officers who were over the work: three thousand and three hundred who ruled over the people who laboured in the work.
àti àwọn ìjòyè nínú àwọn tí a fi ṣe olórí iṣẹ́ Solomoni jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀rìndínlógún ó lé ọgọ́rùn-ún ènìyàn, tí ó ń ṣe aláṣẹ àwọn ènìyàn tí ń ṣiṣẹ́ náà.
17 The king commanded, and they cut out large stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.
Ọba sì pàṣẹ, wọ́n sì mú òkúta wá, òkúta iyebíye, àti òkúta gbígbẹ́ láti fi ìpìlẹ̀ ilé náà lé ilẹ̀.
18 Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the Gebalites cut them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
Àwọn oníṣọ̀nà Solomoni àti Hiramu àti àwọn òṣìṣẹ́ láti Gebali sì gbẹ́ wọn, wọ́n sì pèsè igi àti òkúta láti fi kọ́ ilé náà.
