1 Of the sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron, four.
Quant aux fils d'Issaschar c'étaient: Thola et Phua, Jasub et Simron, quatre.
2 The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their fathers’ houses, of Tola; mighty men of valour in their generations. Their number in the days of David was twenty-two thousand and six hundred.
Et les fils de Thola: Uzzi et Rephaïa, Jeriel et Jachmaï et Jibsam et Samuel, patriarches de leurs maisons, de Thola, c'étaient de braves guerriers, selon leurs familles; leur nombre à l'époque de David, était de vingt-deux mille six cents.
3 The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah, five; all of them chief men.
Et les fils d'Uzzi: Jizrachia. Et les fils de Jizrachia, Michaël et Obadia et Joël, Jissia, cinq, tous patriarches.
4 With them, by their generations, after their fathers’ houses, were bands of the army for war, thirty-six thousand; for they had many wives and sons.
Et avec eux étaient, selon leurs familles, selon leurs maisons patriarcales, des bandes militaires pour la guerre, trente-six mille hommes; car ils avaient beaucoup de femmes et de fils.
5 Their brothers amongst all the families of Issachar, mighty men of valour, listed in all by genealogy, were eighty-seven thousand.
Et leurs frères, selon toutes les familles d'Issaschar, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de quatre-vingt-sept mille, enregistrés en totalité.
6 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael, three.
Benjamin: Béla et Bécher et Jediaël, trois.
7 The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, five; heads of fathers’ houses, mighty men of valour; and they were listed by genealogy twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.
Et les fils de Béla: Etsbon et Uzzi et Uzziel et Jérimoth et Iri, cinq, patriarches, hommes vaillants, enregistrés au nombre de vingt-deux mille trente-quatre.
8 The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher.
Et les fils de Bécher: Zemira et Joas et Eliézer et Elioeinaï et Omri et Jerémoth et Abia et Anathoth et Alameth, tout autant de fils de Bécher,
9 They were listed by genealogy, after their generations, heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty men of valour, twenty thousand and two hundred.
portés aux registres, selon leurs familles, comme leurs patriarches, hommes vaillants au nombre de vingt mille deux cents.
10 The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
Et les fils de Jediaël: Bilhan. Et les fils de Bilhan: Jeüs et Benjamin et Ehud et Cnaana et Zeithan et Tharsis et Ahisahar,
11 All these were sons of Jediael, according to the heads of their fathers’ households, mighty men of valour, seventeen thousand and two hundred, who were able to go out in the army for war.
tout autant de fils de Jediaël selon leurs maisons patriarcales, hommes vaillants au nombre de dix-sept mille deux cents qui sortaient comme soldats pour la guerre.
12 So were Shuppim, Huppim, the sons of Ir, Hushim, and the sons of Aher.
Et Suppim et Hupim, fils d'Ir, Husim, les fils d'Aher.
13 The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, Shallum, and the sons of Bilhah.
Fils de Nephthali: Jatsiel et Guni et Jetser et Sallum, fils de Bilha.
14 The sons of Manasseh: Asriel, whom his concubine the Aramitess bore. She bore Machir the father of Gilead.
Fils de Manassé: Asriel qu'enfanta sa concubine Syrienne: elle avait enfanté Machir, père de Galaad.
15 Machir took a wife of Huppim and Shuppim, whose sister’s name was Maacah. The name of the second was Zelophehad; and Zelophehad had daughters.
Et Machir prit une femme de Hupim et de Suppim, et le nom de sa sœur était Maacha et le nom du [second] fils était Tselophehad; et Tselophehad eut des filles.
16 Maacah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she named him Peresh. The name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.
Et Maacha, femme de Machir, enfanta un fils et le nomma Pérès; et le nom de son frère était Sarès et ses fils Ulam et Rakem.
17 The sons of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
Et les fils d'Ulam: Bedan. Ce sont des fils de Galaad fils de Machir, fils de Manassé.
18 His sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
Et sa sœur Hammolecheth enfanta Ishod et Abiézer et Mahela.
19 The sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
Et les fils de Semida furent: Achian et Sichem et Likhi et Aniam.
20 The sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
Et les fils d'Ephraïm sont: Suthela, dont le fils fut Béred qui eut pour fils Thahath, dont le fils fut Elada qui eut pour fils Thahath,
21 Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath who were born in the land killed, because they came down to take away their livestock.
dont le fils fut Zabad, dont le fils fut Suthela et Ezer et Elead. Et ceux-ci furent tués par les hommes de Gath, indigènes du pays, car ils avaient fait une descente pour enlever leurs troupeaux.
22 Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him.
Et Ephraïm, leur père, les pleura longtemps et ses frères vinrent pour le consoler.
23 He went in to his wife, and she conceived and bore a son, and he named him Beriah, because there was trouble with his house.
Et il s'approcha de sa femme et elle devint enceinte et enfanta un fils qu'il appela du nom de Beria parce que sa maison avait été malheureuse.
24 His daughter was Sheerah, who built Beth Horon the lower and the upper, and Uzzen Sheerah.
Et sa fille était Séèra, et elle bâtit Beth-Horon, la basse et la haute, et Uzzen-Séèra.
25 Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,
Et son fils fut Réphah qui eut pour fils Réseph et Thélah, dont le fils fut Thahan qui eut pour fils
26 Ladan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
Laedan, dont le fils fut Ammihud qui eut pour fils Elisama,
27 Nun his son, and Joshua his son.
dont le fils fut Nun qui eut pour fils Josué.
28 Their possessions and settlements were Bethel and its towns, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer with its towns; Shechem also and its towns, to Azzah and its towns;
Et Béthel avec ses annexes était leur propriété et leur demeure, et du côté du levant ils avaient Naaran, et du côté du couchant Gézer et ses annexes, et Sichem et ses annexes jusques à Gaza et à ses annexes,
29 and by the borders of the children of Manasseh, Beth Shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, and Dor and its towns. The children of Joseph the son of Israel lived in these.
et à côté des fils de Manassé Beth-Séan et ses annexes, Thaënach et ses annexes, Megiddo et ses annexes, Dor et ses annexes. C'est dans ces localités qu'habitèrent les fils de Joseph, fils d'Israël.
30 The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah. Serah was their sister.
Fils d'Asser: Jimna et Jisva et Jisvi et Bria et Serah, leur sœur.
31 The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
Et les fils de Bria: Héber et Malchiel, c'est le père de Birzavith.
32 Heber became the father of Japhlet, Shomer, Hotham, and Shua their sister.
Et Héber engendra Japhlet et Somer et Hotham et Suah, leur sœur.
33 The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These are the children of Japhlet.
Et les fils de Japhlet: Pasach et Bimehal et Asvath; tels sont les fils de Japhlet.
34 The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.
Et les fils de Samer: Ahi et Rahga et Hubba et Aram.
35 The sons of Helem his brother: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
Et les fils de Hélem (Hotham), son frère: Tsophah et Jimna et Selès et Amal.
36 The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
Fils de Tsophah: Suach et Harnepher et Suai et Beri et Jimra,
37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.
Betser et Hod et Samma et Silsa et Jithran et Béera.
38 The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara.
Fils de Jéther: Jephunné et Phispa et Ara.
39 The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.

40 All these were the children of Asher, heads of the fathers’ houses, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. The number of them listed by genealogy for service in war was twenty-six thousand men.
Tout autant de fils d'Asser, chefs des maisons patriarcales, hommes d'élite et de bravoure, chefs des princes. Et leur rôle dans l'armée pour le combat, leur nombre, porte vingt-six mille hommes.
