1 For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David. Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Salimo la Davide. Loyimbidwa ndi zipangizo za zingwe. Imvani kulira kwanga, Inu Mulungu; mvetserani pemphero langa.
2 From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Kuchokera ku malekezero a dziko lapansi ine ndimayitana Inu ndimayitana pomwe mtima wanga ukufowoka; tsogolereni ku thanthwe lalitali kuposa ineyo.
3 For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.
Pakuti Inu mwakhala pothawirapo panga, nsanja yolimba polimbana ndi adani anga.
4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)
Ine ndikulakalaka kukhala mʼtenti yanu kwamuyaya ndi kupeza chitetezo mu mthunzi wa mapiko anu.
5 For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Pakuti Inu Mulungu mwamva malumbiro anga; mwandipatsa cholowa cha iwo amene amaopa dzina lanu.
6 You will prolong the king’s life. His years will be for generations.
Wonjezerani masiku a moyo wa mfumu, zaka zake kwa mibado yochuluka.
7 He shall be enthroned in God’s presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
Iye akhale pa mpando waufumu pamaso pa Mulungu kwamuyaya; ikani chikondi chanu ndi kukhulupirika kwanu kuti zimuteteze.
8 So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfil my vows daily.
