Psalms 24

1 A Psalm by David. The earth is the LORD’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.

Del Signore è la terra e quanto contiene, l'universo e i suoi abitanti. Di Davide. Salmo.

2 For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods.

E' lui che l'ha fondata sui mari, e sui fiumi l'ha stabilita.

3 Who may ascend to the LORD’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?

Chi salirà il monte del Signore, chi starà nel suo luogo santo?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

Chi ha mani innocenti e cuore puro, chi non pronunzia menzogna, chi non giura a danno del suo prossimo.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Otterrà benedizione dal Signore, giustizia da Dio sua salvezza.

6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face—even Jacob. (Selah)

Ecco la generazione che lo cerca, che cerca il tuo volto, Dio di Giacobbe.

7 Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.

Sollevate, porte, i vostri frontali, alzatevi, porte antiche, ed entri il re della gloria.

8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Chi è questo re della gloria? Il Signore forte e potente, il Signore potente in battaglia.

9 Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.

Sollevate, porte, i vostri frontali, alzatevi, porte antiche, ed entri il re della gloria.

10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of Armies is the King of glory! (Selah)

Chi è questo re della gloria? Il Signore degli eserciti è il re della gloria.
