< Psalms 20 >
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,
Fún adarí orin. Saamu ti Dafidi. Kí Olúwa kí ó gbóhùn rẹ ní ọjọ́ ìpọ́njú; kí orúkọ Ọlọ́run Jakọbu kí ó dáàbò bò ọ́.
2 send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion,
Kí ó rán ìrànlọ́wọ́ sí ọ, láti ibi mímọ́ kí ó sì tì ọ́ lẹ́yìn láti Sioni wá.
3 remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. (Selah)
Kí ó sì rántí gbogbo ẹbọ rẹ kí ó sì gba ẹbọ sísun rẹ. (Sela)
4 May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfil all your counsel.
Kí ó fi fún ọ gẹ́gẹ́ bi ti èrò ọkàn rẹ kí ó sì mú gbogbo ìmọ̀ rẹ ṣẹ.
5 We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests.
Àwa yóò hó fún ayọ̀ nígbà tí o bá di aṣẹ́gun àwa yóò gbé àsíá wa sókè ní orúkọ Ọlọ́run wa. Kí Olúwa kí ó mú gbogbo ìbéèrè rẹ̀ ṣẹ.
6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Nísinsin yìí, èmi mọ̀ wí pé, Olúwa pa ẹni àmì òróró rẹ̀ mọ́. Yóò gbọ́ láti ọ̀run mímọ́ rẹ̀ wá pẹ̀lú agbára ìgbàlà ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Àwọn mìíràn gbẹ́kẹ̀ wọn lé kẹ̀kẹ́, àwọn mìíràn gbẹ́kẹ̀ wọn lé ẹṣin, ṣùgbọ́n àwa gbẹ́kẹ̀lé orúkọ Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa.
8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.
Wọ́n wólẹ̀, ní eékún, wọ́n sì ṣubú, ṣùgbọ́n àwa dìde, a sì dúró ṣinṣin.
9 Save, LORD! Let the King answer us when we call!
Olúwa, fi ìṣẹ́gun fún ọba! Dá wa lóhùn nígbà tí a bá ń kígbe pè!
