Numbers 1
1 The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
૧સિનાઈના અરણ્યમાં મુલાકાતમંડપમાં યહોવાહે મૂસાની સાથે વાત કરી. ઇઝરાયલીઓ મિસર દેશમાંથી રવાના થયા ત્યાર પછી બીજા વર્ષના બીજા મહિનાના પ્રથમ દિવસે આ બન્યું. યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું કે,
2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,
૨“ઇઝરાયલપુત્રોના સમગ્ર કુળ પ્રમાણે તથા તેમના પિતાઓનાં કુટુંબ મુજબ તથા તેઓનાં નામ મુજબ દરેક પુરુષની ગણતરી કર.
3 from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.
૩જેઓ વીસ વર્ષ અને તેનાથી મોટી ઉંમરના હોય અને ઇઝરાયલીપુત્રોમાંના જેટલા લડાઈમાં જવાને માટે લાયક હોય તેમની ગણતરી તેમનાં સૈન્ય મુજબ તું તથા હારુન કરો.
4 With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.
૪અને દરેક કુળમાંનો એક પુરુષ જે તેના કુળનો મુખ્ય હોય, તે કુળના આગેવાન તરીકે તમારી સાથે રહે. તેઓએ દરેકે પોતાના કુળના પુરુષોને લડાઈમાં આગેવાની આપવી.
5 These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
૫તમારી સાથે લડાઈ કરનારા આગેવાનોનાં નામ નીચે મુજબ છે; રુબેનના કુળમાંથી શદેઉરનો દીકરો અલીસૂર.
6 Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
૬શિમયોનના કુળમાંથી સૂરીશાદ્દાયનો દીકરો શલુમિયેલ.
7 Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
૭યહૂદાના કુળમાંથી આમ્મીનાદાબનો દીકરો નાહશોન.
8 Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
૮ઇસ્સાખારના કુળમાંથી સુઆરનો દીકરો નથાનએલ.
9 Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.
૯ઝબુલોનના કુળમાંથી હેલોનનો દીકરો અલિયાબ.
10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
૧૦યૂસફના દીકરાઓમાં એફ્રાઇમના કુળમાંથી આમ્મીહૂદનો દીકરો અલિશામા. અને મનાશ્શાના કુળમાંથી પદાહસૂરનો દીકરો ગમાલ્યેલ.
11 Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.
૧૧બિન્યામીનના કુળમાંથી ગિદોનીનો દીકરો અબીદાન.
12 Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
૧૨દાનનાં કુળમાંથી આમ્મીશાદ્દાયનો દીકરો અહીએઝેર.
13 Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.
૧૩આશેરના કુળમાંથી ઓક્રાનનો દીકરો પાગિયેલ.
14 Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
૧૪ગાદના કુળમાંથી દુએલનો દીકરો એલિયાસાફ.
15 Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”
૧૫નફતાલીના કુળમાંથી એનાનનો દીકરો અહીરા.”
16 These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.
૧૬જે લોકોને પસંદ કરાયા તેઓ એ પુરુષો હતા. તેઓ તેમના પૂર્વજોના કુટુંબના અધિપતિઓ હતા. તેઓ ઇઝરાયલ કુળના આગેવાનો હતા.
17 Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.
૧૭જે પુરુષોનાં નામ અહીં આપેલાં છે, તેઓને મૂસાએ અને હારુને લીધા.
18 They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.
૧૮અને બીજા મહિનાના પ્રથમ દિવસે તેમણે સમગ્ર ઇઝરાયલના પુરુષોને એકત્ર કરી અને તેઓએ તેઓનાં કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે અને તેઓના પિતૃઓનાં કુળ અનુસાર વીસ વર્ષ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના સર્વ પુરુષોનાં નામની વંશાવળીની યાદી કરી સંભળાવી.
19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.
૧૯જેમ યહોવાહે મૂસાને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તે મુજબ મૂસાએ સિનાઈના અરણ્યમાં તેઓની ગણતરી કરી.
20 The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૨૦અને ઇઝરાયલના જયેષ્ઠ પુત્ર રુબેનના વંશમાં, તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા પ્રમાણે માથાદીઠ વીસ તથા તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લશ્કરમાં જોડાવા શક્તિમાન હતા,
21 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.
૨૧તેઓની ગણતરી રુબેનના કુળમાં છેંતાળીસ હજાર પાંચસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
22 Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૨૨શિમયોનના વંશમાં તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર પ્રમાણે, તેઓની ગણતરી થઈ. અને વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જોડાવા શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ માથાદીઠ ગણતરી થઈ.
23 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
૨૩તેઓની ગણતરી શિમયોનના કુળમાં ઓગણસાઠ હજાર ત્રણસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
24 Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૨૪ગાદના વંશમાં તેઓના કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાના ઘર મુજબ, વીસ તથા તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ.
25 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
૨૫તેઓની ગણતરી, ગાદના કુળમાં, પિસ્તાળીસ હજાર છસો પચાસ પુરુષોની થઈ.
26 Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૨૬યહૂદાના વંશમાં તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ, વીસ તથા તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
27 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
૨૭તેઓની ગણતરી યહૂદાના કુળમાં ચુંમોતેર હજાર છસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
28 Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૨૮ઇસ્સાખારનાં વંશમાં તેઓના કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
29 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
૨૯તેઓની ગણતરી ઇસ્સાખારના કુળમાં ચોપન હજાર ચારસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
30 Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૩૦ઝબુલોનના વંશમાં તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓનાં નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
31 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
૩૧તેઓની ગણતરી ઝબુલોનના કુળમાં સતાવન હજાર ચારસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
32 Of the children of Joseph: of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૩૨યૂસફના દીકરાઓના એટલે એફ્રાઇમના વંશમાં, તેઓના કુટુંબો તથા તેઓનાં પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા. તેઓનાં નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
33 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
૩૩તેઓની ગણતરી એફ્રાઇમના કુળમાં ચાળીસ હજાર પાંચસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
34 Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૩૪મનાશ્શાનાં વંશમાં તેઓના કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાનાં ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
35 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
૩૫તેઓની ગણતરી મનાશ્શાના કુળમાં બત્રીસ હજાર બસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
36 Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૩૬બિન્યામીનના વંશમાં તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાના ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓનાં નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ.
37 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
૩૭તેઓની ગણતરી બિન્યામીનના કુળમાં પાંત્રીસ હજાર ચારસો પુરુષોની થઈ.
38 Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૩૮દાનના વંશમાં, તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાના ઘરની સંખ્યા મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
39 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
૩૯દાનના કુળની ગણતરી બાસઠ હજાર સાતસોની થઈ.
40 Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૪૦આશેરના વંશમાં, તેઓના કુટુંબો તથા તેઓનાં પિતાના ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓના નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
41 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
૪૧તેઓની ગણતરી આશેરના કુળમાં, એક્તાળીસ હજાર પાંચસોની થઈ.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
૪૨નફતાલીનાં વંશમાં, તેઓનાં કુટુંબો તથા તેઓના પિતાના ઘર મુજબ, વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા, તેઓનાં નામની સંખ્યા મુજબ
43 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
૪૩તેઓની ગણતરી, નફતાલીના કુળમાં, ત્રેપન હજાર ચારસોની થઈ.
44 These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.
૪૪જેઓની ગણતરી મૂસા, હારુન તથા ઇઝરાયલીઓના અધિપતિ બાર પુરુષોએ કરી તેઓ એ છે. તેઓ ઇઝરાયલના બાર કુળના અધિપતિ હતા.
45 So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel—
૪૫તેથી ઇઝરાયલીઓમાંના જે સર્વની ગણતરી તેઓનાં પિતાના ઘર મુજબ થઈ એટલે વીસ કે તેથી વધારે વર્ષની ઉંમરના જેટલા પુરુષો લડાઈમાં જવાને શક્તિમાન હતા.
46 all those who were counted were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
૪૬તેઓની ગણતરી છ લાખ ત્રણ હજાર પાંચસો પચાસની હતી.
47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted amongst them.
૪૭પણ તેઓ મધ્યે લેવીઓની તેઓના પિતાનાં કુળ મુજબ ગણતરી કરવામાં આવી નહિ.
48 For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
૪૮કેમ કે યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું કે,
49 “Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them amongst the children of Israel;
૪૯‘તારે લેવીના કુળની ગણતરી કરવી નહિ અને ઇઝરાયલીઓમાં તેઓની કુલ સંખ્યા તારે નક્કી કરવી નહિ.’”
50 but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
૫૦તેના બદલામાં તું લેવીઓને કરારમંડપ પર તથા તેના બધા સામાન પર તથા તેને લગતી સઘળી બાબતો પર ઠરાવ; તેઓ મંડપને તથા તેના સર્વ સરસામાનને ઊંચકી લે; અને તેઓ તેની સંભાળ રાખે અને મંડપની ચારે બાજુ છાવણી કરે.
51 When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
૫૧જ્યારે મંડપને બીજી જગ્યાએ લઈ જવાનો સમય થાય, ત્યારે લેવીઓએ તેને પાડવાનો અને ફરીથી ઊભો કરવાનો થાય, ત્યારે લેવીઓ તેને ઊભો કરે; અને એ કુળ સિવાયનો કોઈ અજાણ્યા પુરુષ નજીક આવે તો તે માર્યો જાય.
52 The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
૫૨અને ઇઝરાયલપુત્રો, દરેક પુરુષ પોતપોતાની છાવણી પાસે અને દરેક પુરુષ પોતપોતાની ધજા પાસે પોતાનાં સૈન્ય પ્રમાણે પોતપોતાનો તંબુ ઊભો કરે.
53 But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
૫૩જો કે, લેવીઓએ પવિત્રમંડપની આસપાસ જ પોતાની છાવણી નાખવી કે જેથી ઇઝરાયલના લોકો પર કંઈ કોપ ન આવે; અને લેવીઓ સાક્ષ્યોના મંડપની સંભાળ રાખે.
54 Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
૫૪ઇઝરાયલના લોકોએ એ પ્રમાણે કર્યું; યહોવાહે મૂસાની મારફતે જે સર્વ આજ્ઞા આપી હતી, તે મુજબ તેઓએ કર્યું.
