Isaiah 55
1 “Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Ó todos vós que tendes sede, vinde às águas; e vós que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai, e comei; vinde, comprai, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite.
2 Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labour for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness.
Por que gastais dinheiro naquilo que não é pão, e vosso trabalho naquilo que não pode trazer satisfação? Ouvi-me com atenção, e comei o que é bom, e vossa alma se deleite com a gordura.
3 Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Inclinai vossos ouvidos, e vinde a mim; ouvi, e vossa alma viverá; porque convosco farei um pacto eterno, [tal como] as firmes bondades prometidas a Davi.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.
Eis que eu o dei [para ser] testemunha aos povos, [como] príncipe e governante dos povos.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know; and a nation that didn’t know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.”
Eis que chamarás a uma nação que não conheceste, e uma nação que nunca te conheceu correrá para ti, por causa do SENHOR teu Deus, o Santo de Israel; porque ele te glorificou.
6 Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.
Buscai ao SENHOR enquanto se pode achar; invocai-o enquanto ele está perto.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.
Que o perverso deixe seu caminho, e o homem maligno [deixe] seus pensamentos, e converta ao SENHOR; então dele terá compaixão; [converta] ao nosso Deus, porque ele grandemente perdoa.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says the LORD.
Pois meus pensamentos não são vossos pensamentos, nem vossos caminhos são meus caminhos, diz o SENHOR.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Porque [tal como] os céus são mais altos que a terra, assim também meus caminhos são mais altos que vossos caminhos, e meus pensamentos [mais altos] que vossos pensamentos.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
Porque tal como a chuva e a neve desce dos céus, e para lá não volta, mas rega a terra, e a faz produzir, brotar, e dar semente ao semeador, e pão ao que come;
11 so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
Assim também será minha palavra, que não voltará a mim vazia; ao contrário, ela fará o que me agrada, e cumprirá aquilo para que a enviei.
12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.
Porque com alegria saireis, e em paz sereis guiados; os montes e os morros cantarão de alegria perante vossa presença, e todas as árvores do campo baterão palmas.
13 Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for the LORD, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”
Em lugar do espinheiro crescerá o cipreste, e em lugar da urtiga crescerá a murta; e isso será para o SENHOR como um nome, como um sinal eterno, que nunca se apagará.
