< Isaiah 10 >
1 Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees
Ègbé ni fún àwọn ti ń ṣe òfin àìṣòdodo,
2 to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor amongst my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
láti dún àwọn aláìní ní ẹ̀tọ́ wọn àti láti fa ọwọ́ ìdájọ́ sẹ́yìn kúrò níwájú àwọn olùpọ́njú ènìyàn mi, wọ́n sọ àwọn ọ̀pọ̀ di ìjẹ fún wọn, wọ́n sì ń ja àwọn aláìní baba lólè.
3 What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?
Kí ni ìwọ yóò ṣe ní ọjọ́ ìṣirò nígbà tí ìparun bá ti ọ̀nà jíjìn wá? Ta ni ìwọ yóò sá tọ̀ fún ìrànlọ́wọ́? Níbo ni ìwọ yóò fi ọrọ̀ rẹ sí?
4 They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Ohunkóhun kò ní ṣẹ́kù mọ́ bí kò ṣe láti tẹ̀ ba láàrín àwọn ìgbèkùn tàbí kí o ṣubú sáàrín àwọn tí a pa. Pẹ̀lú gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ìbínú rẹ̀ kò kúrò, ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sì tún gbé sókè.
5 Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
“Ègbé ni fún àwọn ará Asiria, ọ̀gọ ìbínú mi, ní ọwọ́ ẹni tí kùmọ̀ ìbínú mi wà!
6 I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Mo rán an sí orílẹ̀-èdè aláìní Ọlọ́run, mo dojú rẹ̀ kọ àwọn ènìyàn tí ó mú mi bínú láti já ẹrù gbà, àti láti kó ìkógun láti tẹ̀ mọ́lẹ̀ bí amọ̀ ní ojú òpópó.
7 However, he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.
Ṣùgbọ́n, èyí kì í ṣe ohun tí ó fẹ́ ṣe, èyí kọ́ ni ohun tí ó ní lọ́kàn; èrò rẹ̀ ni láti parun, láti fi òpin sí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ orílẹ̀-èdè.
8 For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?
‘Kì í ha ṣe pé ọba ni gbogbo àwọn aláṣẹ mi?’ ni Olúwa wí.
9 Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”
‘Kì í ha ṣe pé Kalno dàbí i Karkemiṣi? Hamati kò ha dàbí i Arpadi, àti Samaria bí i Damasku?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọwọ́ mi ti gbá ìjọba àwọn òrìṣà mú, ìjọba tí ère rẹ̀ pọ̀ ju ti Jerusalẹmu àti Samaria lọ.
11 shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
Èmi kì yóò a bá Jerusalẹmu wí àti àwọn ère rẹ̀?’” Gẹ́gẹ́ bí mo ṣe ṣe sí Samaria àti àwọn ère rẹ̀?
12 Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the wilful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.
Nígbà tí Olúwa ti ṣe iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sí òkè Sioni àti Jerusalẹmu, yóò sọ wí pé, “Èmi yóò fi ìyà jẹ ọba Asiria nítorí gààrù àyà rẹ̀ àti ìgbéraga ojú rẹ̀.
13 For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
Nítorí ó sọ pé: “‘Pẹ̀lú agbára ọwọ́ mi ni mo fi ṣe èyí àti pẹ̀lú ọgbọ́n ọ̀n mi, nítorí mo ní òye. Mo mú ààlà àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè kúrò, mo sì ti kó ìṣúra wọn. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí alágbára kan, mo borí àwọn ọba wọn.
14 My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
Bí ènìyàn ti í tọwọ́ bọ ìtẹ́ ẹyẹ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ọwọ́ mi tẹ ọrọ̀ àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè. Bí ènìyàn ti í kó ẹyin tí a kọ̀sílẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni mo kó àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè kò sí èyí tí ó fi apá lu apá, tàbí kí ó ya ẹnu láti dún.’”
15 Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
Ǹjẹ́ àáké le gbé ara rẹ̀ sókè kọjá ẹni tí ó ń fì í, tàbí kí ayùn fọ́nnu sí ẹni tí ó ń lò ó? Àfi bí ẹni pé ọ̀pá ó na ẹni tí ó gbé e sókè, tàbí kí kùmọ̀ lu èyí tí kì í ṣe igi.
16 Therefore the Lord, GOD of Armies, will send amongst his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.
Nítorí náà, ni Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, yóò rán ààrùn ìrẹ̀dànù sórí àwọn akíkanjú jagunjagun, lábẹ́ ògo rẹ̀ ni iná kan yóò ti sọ gẹ́gẹ́ bí iná ajónirun.
17 The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
Ìmọ́lẹ̀ Israẹli yóò di iná, Ẹni Mímọ́ rẹ̀ yóò jẹ́ ọ̀wọ́-iná, ní ọjọ́ kan ṣoṣo yóò jó yóò sì run àti ẹ̀gún àti ẹ̀wọ̀n.
18 He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
Gbogbo ẹwà igbó o rẹ̀, àti àwọn pápá ọlọ́ràá gbogbo rẹ̀ ni yóò run pátápátá, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹni tí ó ṣàìsàn ti í ṣòfò dànù.
19 The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
Àwọn igi tí yóò kù nínú igbó o rẹ̀ yóò kéré níye, tí ọ̀dọ́mọdé yóò fi le kọ̀ wọ́n sílẹ̀.
20 It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
Ní ọjọ́ náà, àwọn tí ó ṣẹ́kù ní Israẹli, àwọn tí ó yè ní ilé e Jakọbu, kò ní gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ẹni náà tí ó lù wọ́n bolẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ní òtítọ́ yóò gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Olúwa, Ẹni Mímọ́ Israẹli.
21 A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
Àwọn ìyókù yóò padà, àwọn ìyókù ti Jakọbu yóò padà sí ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run Alágbára.
22 For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé àwọn ènìyàn rẹ, ìwọ Israẹli dàbí yanrìn ní Òkun, ẹni díẹ̀ ni yóò padà. A ti pàṣẹ ìparun, àkúnwọ́sílẹ̀ àti òdodo.
23 For the Lord, GOD of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ni yóò mú un ṣẹ, ìparun tí a ti pàṣẹ rẹ̀ lórí gbogbo ilẹ̀ náà.
24 Therefore the Lord, GOD of Armies, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
Nítorí náà, báyìí ni Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, “Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi tí ó ń gbé Sioni, ẹ má ṣe bẹ̀rù àwọn Asiria, tí ó ń fi ọ̀pá lù yín, tí wọ́n sì ń gbé ọ̀gọ tì yín bí Ejibiti ti ṣe.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”
Láìpẹ́, ìbínú mi sí i yín yóò wá sí òpin n ó sì dojú ìrunú mi kọ wọ́n, fún ìparun wọn.”
26 The LORD of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun yóò nà wọ́n ní ẹgba. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ṣe lu Midiani ní òkè Orebu, yóò sì gbé ọ̀pá rẹ̀ lé orí omi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣe ní Ejibiti.
27 It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
Ní ọjọ́ náà, a ó gbé ẹrù wọn kúrò ní èjìká a yín, àti àjàgà a wọn kúrò ní ọrùn un yín a ó fọ́ àjàgà náà, nítorí pé ẹ̀yin ó ti sanra.
28 He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
Wọ́n wọ Aiati, wọ́n gba Migroni kọjá, wọ́n kó nǹkan pamọ́ sí Mikmasi.
29 They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.
Wọ́n ti rékọjá ọ̀nà, wọ́n wí pé, “Àwa ó tẹ̀dó sí Geba lóru yìí.” Rama mì tìtì Gibeah ti Saulu sálọ.
30 Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
Gbé ohùn rẹ sókè, ìwọ ọmọbìnrin Galimu! Dẹ etí sílẹ̀, ìwọ Laiṣa! Ìwọ òtòṣì Anatoti!
31 Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
Madmena ti fẹsẹ̀ fẹ́ ẹ, àwọn ènìyàn Gebimu ti fi ara pamọ́.
32 This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Ní ọjọ́ yìí, wọn yóò dúró ní Nobu wọn yóò kan sáárá, ní òkè ọmọbìnrin Sioni ní òkè Jerusalẹmu.
33 Behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
Wò ó, Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, yóò kán ẹ̀ka náà sọnù pẹ̀lú agbára. Àwọn igi ọlọ́lá ni a ó gé lulẹ̀ àwọn tí ó ga gogoro ni a ó rẹ̀ sílẹ̀.
34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
Òun yóò gé igbó dídí pẹ̀lú àáké, Lebanoni yóò ṣubú níwájú Alágbára náà.
