< Ezekiel 16 >
1 Again the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ̀ mí wá wí pé:
2 “Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, mú kí Jerusalẹmu mọ gbogbo ìwà ìríra rẹ̀.
3 and say, ‘The Lord GOD says to Jerusalem: “Your origin and your birth is of the land of the Canaanite. An Amorite was your father, and your mother was a Hittite.
Sọ pé, ‘Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí sí Jerusalẹmu, ìran rẹ àti ilẹ̀ ìbí rẹ wà ní ilẹ̀ Kenaani; ará Amori ni baba rẹ̀, ìyá rẹ̀ sì jẹ́ ará Hiti.
4 As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut. You weren’t washed in water to cleanse you. You weren’t salted at all, nor wrapped in blankets at all.
Ní ọjọ́ tí a bí ọ, a kò gé okùn ìwọ́ rẹ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò sì fi omi wẹ̀ ọ́ láti mú kí o mọ́, a kò fi iyọ̀ pa ọ́ lára rárá, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò fi aṣọ wé ọ.
5 No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, because you were abhorred in the day that you were born.
Kò sí ẹni tó ṣàánú tàbí kẹ́dùn rẹ dé bi à ti ṣe nǹkan kan nínú ìwọ̀nyí fún ọ, ṣùgbọ́n lọ́jọ́ ìbí rẹ, ìta la jù ọ́ sí torí wọ́n kórìíra rẹ.
6 “‘“When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you, ‘Though you are in your blood, live!’ Yes, I said to you, ‘Though you are in your blood, live!’
“‘Nígbà tí mo sì kọjá tí mo rí ọ tó ń jàgùdù nínú ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ, mo sọ fún ọ pé, “Yè!” Nítòótọ́, nígbà tí ìwọ wà nínú ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ pé, “Yè.”
7 I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you increased and grew great, and you attained to excellent beauty. Your breasts were formed, and your hair grew; yet you were naked and bare.
Mo mú ọ dàgbà bí ohun ọ̀gbìn inú oko. O ga sókè, o sì dàgbà, o wá di arẹwà jùlọ, ọmú rẹ yọ, irun rẹ gùn, ìwọ tí o wà ní ìhòhò láìfi nǹkan kan bora.
8 “‘“Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my garment over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I pledged myself to you and entered into a covenant with you,” says the Lord GOD, “and you became mine.
“‘Nígbà tí mo tún kọjá, tí mo rí ọ, mo rí i pé àsìkò àti nífẹ̀ẹ́ rẹ ti tó, mo fi ìṣẹ́tí aṣọ mi bo ìhòhò rẹ. Mo búra fún ọ, èmi sì bá ọ dá májẹ̀mú ìwọ sì di tèmi, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.
9 “‘“Then I washed you with water. Yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.

13 Thus you were decked with gold and silver. Your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered work. You ate fine flour, honey, and oil. You were exceedingly beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.

20 “‘“Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,
“‘Àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin tí o bí fún mi lo ti fi rú ẹbọ bí oúnjẹ fún àwọn òrìṣà. Ṣé ìwà àgbèrè rẹ kò ha tó bí?

23 “‘“It has happened after all your wickedness—woe, woe to you!” says the Lord GOD—
“Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, ‘Ègbé! Ègbé ni fún ọ. Lẹ́yìn gbogbo ìwà búburú rẹ,

30 “‘“How weak is your heart,” says the Lord GOD, “since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;
