< Ephesians 5 >

1 Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
Mufubenga okufaanana Katonda kubanga muli baana ba Katonda abaagalwa.
2 Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
Mwagalanenga nga Kristo bwe yatwagala ne yeewaayo ku lwaffe n’afuuka ekiweebwayo era ssaddaaka eri Katonda, eyakawoowo akalungi.
3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned amongst you, as becomes saints;
Nga bwe muli abantu ba Katonda abatukuvu, obwenzi, n’obugwagwa bwonna, n’omululu bireme okuwulirwa mu mmwe.
4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate, but rather giving of thanks.
Mwewale okwogera eby’ensonyi, n’eby’obusirusiru, n’okubalaata ebitasaana. Mwebazenga bwebaza Katonda.
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
Mukimanye era mukitegeerere ddala nga buli mwenzi, oba omugwagwa, oba eyeegomba, aba asinza bakatonda abalala, talina mugabo mu bwakabaka bwa Kristo ne Katonda.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Omuntu yenna tabalimbalimbanga n’ebigambo ebitaliimu. Katonda abonereza buli muntu yenna amujeemera.
7 Therefore don’t be partakers with them.
Noolwekyo temwegattanga n’abafaanana ng’abo.
8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
Edda mwali ng’abantu ab’ekizikiza, naye kaakano muli bantu ba musana mu Mukama waffe. Noolwekyo mutambulenga ng’abaana ab’omusana,
9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
ekitangaala kyammwe kirabisibwe. Mubale ebibala eby’omusana nga mweyisa bulungi, nga mubeera abeesimbu era ab’amazima,
10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
nga munoonya ekyo ekisanyusa Mukama waffe.
11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
Temwenyigiranga mu bikolwa bya kizikiza kubanga tebigasa, wabula munenyenga ababikola.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
Kubanga kya nsonyi n’okubyogerako ebyo abajeemu bye bakolera mu kyama.
13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
Byonna bwe biryatuukirizibwa mu kitangaala, birirabikira ddala nga bwe biri.
14 Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Ekitangaala kirabisa buli kintu. Kyekiva kigambibwa nti, “Zuukuka ggwe eyeebase, Ozuukire mu bafu, Kristo anaakwakira.”
15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
Mutunule nga mutambula n’obwegendereza, si ng’abatalina magezi wabula ng’abalina amagezi,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
nga temwonoona biseera kubanga ennaku zino mbi.
17 Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Temubanga basirusiru, naye mutegeere Mukama waffe ky’ayagala.
18 Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
Ate temutamiiranga, kubanga mujja kweyonoona, wabula Omwoyo ajjulenga mu bulamu bwammwe.
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Bwe mukuŋŋananga muzimbaganenga mu Zabbuli ne mu nnyimba, ne mu nnyimba ez’Omwoyo nga muyimbira Mukama era nga mumuyimusiza amaloboozi mu mutima gwammwe.
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
Bulijjo mwebazenga Katonda Kitaffe olwa byonna, mu linnya lya Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo.
21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.
Mutyenga Kristo, nga muwuliragananga.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Abakazi, muwulirenga babbammwe nga bwe muwulira Mukama waffe.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the saviour of the body.
Omusajja gwe mutwe gw’omukazi, nga Kristo bw’ali omutwe gw’Ekkanisa. Ekkanisa gwe mubiri gwa Kristo, era ye yennyini ye Mulokozi waagwo.
24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
Kale ng’Ekkanisa bw’ewulira Kristo, n’abakazi bwe batyo bwe basaana okuwuliranga ba bbaabwe mu byonna.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her,
Nammwe abaami mwagalenga bakyala bammwe nga Kristo bwe yayagala Ekkanisa ne yeewaayo ku lwayo.
26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
Yaginaaza n’amazzi, n’agitukuza n’ekigambo kye,
27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.
alyoke yeefunire Ekkanisa ey’ekitiibwa, eteriiko bbala wadde akamogo oba ekintu kyonna ekikyamu, wabula ebeere entukuvu, etuukiridde.
28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
N’abasajja bwe batyo bwe basaana okwagalanga bakazi baabwe, nga bwe baagala emibiri gyabwe gyennyini. Ayagala mukazi we yeeyagala yekka.
29 For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly,
Tewali n’omu yali akyaye omubiri gwe, wabula aguliisa era agujjanjaba nga Kristo bw’ajjanjaba Ekkanisa ye,
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
kubanga tuli bitundu bya mubiri gwe.
31 “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh.”
“Kale omusajja kyanaavanga aleka kitaawe ne nnyina ne yeegatta ne mukazi we, ne bafuuka omuntu omu.”
32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly.
Ekyama kino kikulu, kyokka nze ndowooza nti kyogera ku Kristo n’Ekkanisa ye.
33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Kale, nammwe buli musajja ayagalenga mukazi we nga bwe yeeyagala yennyini, era n’omukazi assengamu bba ekitiibwa.
