< Romans 2 >

1 You are therefore without excuse, O man, whoever you are who sit in judgement upon others. For when you pass judgement on your fellow man, you condemn yourself; for you who sit in judgement upon others are guilty of the same misdeeds;
Hlang boeih lai aka tloek aw basa tloel la na om coeng, hlang tloe te me nen lae lai na tloek. Amah te tla kho na boe tih lai aka tloek tah namah na boe coeng.
2 and we know that God's judgement against those who commit such sins is in accordance with the truth.
Tedae tebang khosa rhoek soah Pathen kah laitloeknah loh oltak ningla a om te m'ming uh.
3 And you who pronounce judgement upon those who do such things although your own conduct is the same as theirs--do you imagine that you yourself will escape unpunished when God judges?
He he na thuep dae a? Aw nang hlang tebang khosak neh aka saii tih amih soah lai aka tloek, te nen a Pathen kah laitloeknah te na poenghal eh?
4 Or is it that you think slightingly of His infinite goodness, forbearance and patience, unaware that the goodness of God is gently drawing you to repentance?
Amah kah rhennah neh a uehnah, thinsennah aka soep te nim na sit? Yutnah dongah nang aka mawt ham Pathen kah a kodam te na mangvawt nim.
5 The fact is that in the stubbornness of your impenitent heart you are treasuring up against yourself anger on the day of Anger--the day when the righteousness of God's judgements will stand revealed.
Tedae na mangkhaknah neh thinko a cailak vanbangla kosi khohnin kah kosi neh Pathen kah laitloeknah dongah pumphoenah ni na tung coeng.
6 To each man He will make an award corresponding to his actions;
Amah loh pakhat rhip he a bibi tarhing la a thuung ni.
7 to those on the one hand who, by lives of persistent right-doing, are striving for glory, honour and immortality, the Life of the Ages; (aiōnios g166)
Bibi then kah uehnah nen ngawn tah thangpomnah, hinyahnah, aka nguel dungyan hingnah ni a. toem uh. (aiōnios g166)
8 while on the other hand upon the self-willed who disobey the truth and obey unrighteousness will fall anger and fury, affliction and awful distress,
Te phoeiah koevoeinah neh oltak te a aek tih boethae la aka caemtuh tah kosi neh thinsanah,
9 coming upon the soul of every man and woman who deliberately does wrong--upon the Jew first, and then upon the Gentile;
phacip phabaem neh citcai te lamhma ah Judah, te phoeiah Greek neh boethae aka thoeng sak hlang kah hinglu boeih soah tla ni.
10 whereas glory, honour and peace will be given to every one who does what is good and right--to the Jew first and then to the Gentile.
Tedae thangpomnah, hinyahnah neh ngaimongnah tah boethen aka saii boeih neh lamhma la Judah, te phoeiah Greek taengah om ni.
11 For God pays no attention to this world's distinctions.
Pathen taengah maelhmai sawtnah a om moenih.
12 For all who have sinned apart from the Law will also perish apart from the Law, and all who have sinned whilst living under the Law, will be judged by the Law.
Aka tholh khungrhap boeih tah khungrhap la poci van vetih olkhueng hmuiah aka tholh rhoek boeih tah olkhueng loh lai a tloek pah ni.
13 It is not those that merely hear the Law read who are righteous in the sight of God, but it is those that obey the Law who will be pronounced righteous.
Olkhueng aka yakung rhoek loh Pathen taengah dueng pawt tih, olkhueng aka vai ni a. tang eh.
14 For when Gentiles who have no Law obey by natural instinct the commands of the Law, they, without having a Law, are a Law to themselves;
Namtom rhoek loh olkhueng a khueh uh pawt vaengah a coengnah neh olkhueng te a vai uh. Amih loh olkhueng la khueh uh pawt cakhaw amih taengah olkhueng la om coeng.
15 since they exhibit proof that a knowledge of the conduct which the Law requires is engraven on their hearts, while their consciences also bear witness to the Law, and their thoughts, as if in mutual discussion, accuse them or perhaps maintain their innocence--
Amih thinko ah a tarhit olkhueng kah khoboe te amamih loh a phoe. Amamih kah mingcimnah neh pakhat kah poeknah laklo ah a mingpuei tih paelnaeh uh thae, huul uh thae.
16 on the day when God will judge the secrets of men's lives by Jesus Christ, as declared in the Good News as I have taught it.
Jesuh Khrih rhangneh kai kah olthangthen bangla hlang rhoek kah olhuep te Pathen loh lai a tloek khohnin ah tueng ni.
17 And since you claim the name of Jew, and find rest and satisfaction in the Law, and make your boast in God,
Tedae namah loh Judah na ti atah, olkhueng na pangtung tih Pathen dongah na pomsang.
18 and know the supreme will, and can test things that differ--being a man who receives instruction from the Law--
A kongaih te na ming tih olkhueng neh n'thuituen vaengah a tanglue te na soepboe.
19 and have persuaded yourself that, as for you, you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
Namah neh namah te na uep na tih mawtkung mikdael rhoek, yinnah khuiah vangnah la om ham,
20 a schoolmaster for the dull and ignorant, a teacher of the young, because in the Law you possess an outline of real knowledge and an outline of the truth:
Aka ang rhoek hlinsaikung neh cahmang rhoek kah saya, mingnah lungsak neh olkhueng dongah oltak te na dang tih,
21 you then who teach your fellow man, do you refuse to teach yourself? You who cry out against stealing, are you yourself a thief?
Hlang tloe aka thuituen tangloeng loh namah na thuituen uh mahnim? Huen pawt ham aka hoe loh na huen nama?
22 You who forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You who loathe idols, do you plunder their temples?
Samphaih boeh aka ti loh na samphaih, mueirhol aka tuei loh bawkim te na muk nama?
23 You who make your boast in the Law, do you offend against its commands and so dishonour God?
Olkhueng dongah aka pomsang loh boekoeknah neh olkhueng rhangneh Pathen te yah na bai.
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentile nations because of you, as Holy Writ declares.
Nangmih kongah ni Pathen kah ming tah namtom taengah a daek tangtae vanbangla a soehsal uh.
25 Circumcision does indeed profit, if you obey the Law; but if you are a Law-breaker, the fact that you have been circumcised counts for nothing.
Olkhueng te na hingpuei atah yahvinrhetnah khaw hoeikhang ngawn dae olkhueng dongah boekoekkung la na om atah nang kah yahvinrhetnah te pumdul la poeh.
26 In the same way if an uncircumcised man pays attention to the just requirements of the Law, shall not his lack of circumcision be overlooked, and,
Te dongah pumdul loh olkhueng kah rhilam rhoek te a tuem atah anih kah pumdul te yahvinrhetnah la nawt mahpawt nim?
27 although he is a Gentile by birth, if he scrupulously obeys the Law, shall he not sit in judgement upon you who, possessing, as you do, a written Law and circumcision, are yet a Law-breaker?
A coengnah dongah pumdul dae olkhueng aka soep sak loh, cabu neh yahvinrhetnah rhangneh olkhueng dongkah boekoekkung nang te lai han tloek ni.
28 For the true Jew is not the man who is simply a Jew outwardly, and true circumcision is not that which is outward and bodily.
Judah hlang a mingpha la om he moenih. Pumsa ah aka mingpha yahvinrhetnah te moenih.
29 But the true Jew is one inwardly, and true circumcision is heart-circumcision--not literal, but spiritual; and such people receive praise not from men, but from God.
Tedae a olhuep dongkah Judah hlang ni a ti. Te phoeiah cabu nen pawt tih mueihla ah thinko yahvinrhetnah ni a ti. Anih kah thangthennah tah hlang lamkah pawt tih Pathen taeng lamkah ni.
