Revelation 8
1 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
अनन्तरं सप्तममुद्रायां तेन मोचितायां सार्द्धदण्डकालं स्वर्गो निःशब्दोऽभवत्।
2 Then I saw the seven angels who are in the presence of God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
अपरम् अहम् ईश्वरस्यान्तिके तिष्ठतः सप्तदूतान् अपश्यं तेभ्यः सप्ततूर्य्योऽदीयन्त।
3 And another angel came and stood close to the altar, carrying a censer of gold; and abundance of incense was given to him that he might place it with the prayers of all God's people upon the golden altar which was in front of the throne.
ततः परम् अन्य एको दूत आगतः स स्वर्णधूपाधारं गृहीत्वा वेदिमुपातिष्ठत् स च यत् सिंहासनस्यान्तिके स्थितायाः सुवर्णवेद्या उपरि सर्व्वेषां पवित्रलोकानां प्रार्थनासु धूपान् योजयेत् तदर्थं प्रचुरधूपास्तस्मै दत्ताः।
4 And the smoke of the incense rose into the presence of God from the angel's hand, and mingled with the prayers of His people.
ततस्तस्य दूतस्य करात् पवित्रलोकानां प्रार्थनाभिः संयुक्तधूपानां धूम ईश्वरस्य समक्षं उदतिष्ठत्।
5 So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and flung it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, and voices, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
पश्चात् स दूतो धूपाधारं गृहीत्वा वेद्या वह्निना पूरयित्वा पृथिव्यां निक्षिप्तवान् तेन रवा मेघगर्ज्जनानि विद्युतो भूमिकम्पश्चाभवन्।
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made preparations for blowing them.
ततः परं सप्ततूरी र्धारयन्तः सप्तदूतास्तूरी र्वादयितुम् उद्यता अभवन्।
7 The first blew his trumpet; and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, falling upon the earth; and a third part of the earth was burnt up, and a third part of the trees and all the green grass.
प्रथमेन तूर्य्यां वादितायां रक्तमिश्रितौ शिलावह्नी सम्भूय पृथिव्यां निक्षिप्तौ तेन पृथिव्यास्तृतीयांशो दग्धः, तरूणामपि तृतीयांशो दग्धः, हरिद्वर्णतृणानि च सर्व्वाणि दग्धानि।
8 The second angel blew his trumpet; and what seemed to be a great mountain, all ablaze with fire, was hurled into the sea; and a third part of the sea was turned into blood.
अनन्तरं द्वितीयदूतेन तूर्य्यां वादितायां वह्निना प्रज्वलितो महापर्व्वतः सागरे निक्षिप्तस्तेन सागरस्य तृतीयांशो रक्तीभूतः
9 And a third part of the creatures that were in the sea--those that had life--died; and a third part of the ships were destroyed.
सागरे स्थितानां सप्राणानां सृष्टवस्तूनां तृतीयांशो मृतः, अर्णवयानानाम् अपि तृतीयांशो नष्टः।
10 The third angel blew his trumpet; and there fell from Heaven a great star, which was on fire like a torch. It fell upon a third part of the rivers and upon the springs of water.
अपरं तृतीयदूतेन तूर्य्यां वादितायां दीप इव ज्वलन्ती एका महती तारा गगणात् निपत्य नदीनां जलप्रस्रवणानाञ्चोपर्य्यावतीर्णा।
11 The name of the star is 'Wormwood;' and a third part of the waters were turned into wormwood, and vast numbers of the people died from drinking the water, because it had become bitter.
तस्यास्ताराया नाम नागदमनकमिति, तेन तोयानां तृतीयांशे नागदमनकीभूते तोयानां तिक्तत्वात् बहवो मानवा मृताः।
12 Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet; and a curse fell upon a third part of the sun, a third part of the moon, and a third part of the stars, so that a third part of them were darkened and for a third of the day, and also of the night, there was no light.
अपरं चतुर्थदूतेन तूर्य्यां वादितायां सूर्य्यस्य तृतीयांशश्चन्द्रस्य तृतीयांशो नक्षत्राणाञ्च तृतीयांशः प्रहृतः, तेन तेषां तृतीयांशे ऽन्धकारीभूते दिवसस्तृतीयांशकालं यावत् तेजोहीनो भवति निशापि तामेवावस्थां गच्छति।
13 Then I looked, and I heard a solitary eagle crying in a loud voice, as it flew across the sky, "Alas, alas, alas, for the inhabitants of the earth, because of the significance of the remaining trumpets which the three angels are about to blow!"
तदा निरीक्षमाणेन मयाकाशमध्येनाभिपतत एकस्य दूतस्य रवः श्रुतः स उच्चै र्गदति, अपरै र्यैस्त्रिभि र्दूतैस्तूर्य्यो वादितव्यास्तेषाम् अवशिष्टतूरीध्वनितः पृथिवीनिवासिनां सन्तापः सन्तापः सन्तापश्च सम्भविष्यति।
