< Revelation 8 >
1 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
ⲁ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲙⲉϩⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲥⲫⲣⲁⲅⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲕⲁ ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲁ ⲟⲩϭⲓⲥⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ
2 Then I saw the seven angels who are in the presence of God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲝ
3 And another angel came and stood close to the altar, carrying a censer of gold; and abundance of incense was given to him that he might place it with the prayers of all God's people upon the golden altar which was in front of the throne.
ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲕⲉⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲟⲩⲣⲏ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲟⲩϩⲏⲛⲉ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϯ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ
4 And the smoke of the incense rose into the presence of God from the angel's hand, and mingled with the prayers of His people.
ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲕⲁⲡⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲛϣⲟⲩϩⲏⲛⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧϭⲓϫ ⲙⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
5 So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and flung it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, and voices, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧϣⲟⲩⲣⲏ ⲁϥⲙⲁϩⲥ ⲛⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ϩⲉⲛϩⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲉⲃⲣⲏϭⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲙⲧⲟ
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made preparations for blowing them.
ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲝ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ
7 The first blew his trumpet; and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, falling upon the earth; and a third part of the earth was burnt up, and a third part of the trees and all the green grass.
ⲍ̅ⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲁⲙⲡⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲉⲩⲧⲏϩ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲁϥⲣⲱⲕϩ
8 The second angel blew his trumpet; and what seemed to be a great mountain, all ablaze with fire, was hurled into the sea; and a third part of the sea was turned into blood.
ⲏ̅ⲁϥⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲉⲣⲟ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲁⲩⲛⲟϫϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲁϥⲣⲥⲛⲟϥ
9 And a third part of the creatures that were in the sea--those that had life--died; and a third part of the ships were destroyed.
ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲛⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲛ ⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲛⲉϫⲏⲩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ
10 The third angel blew his trumpet; and there fell from Heaven a great star, which was on fire like a torch. It fell upon a third part of the rivers and upon the springs of water.
ⲓ̅ⲡⲙⲉϩϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲉⲣⲟ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲗⲁⲙⲡⲁⲥ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲛⲉⲓⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲛⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
11 The name of the star is 'Wormwood;' and a third part of the waters were turned into wormwood, and vast numbers of the people died from drinking the water, because it had become bitter.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲯⲓⲛⲑⲓⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲓϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣⲉ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲓϣⲉ
12 Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet; and a curse fell upon a third part of the sun, a third part of the moon, and a third part of the stars, so that a third part of them were darkened and for a third of the day, and also of the night, there was no light.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲙⲉϩϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲙⲡⲣⲏ ⲁϥϣⲱⲱϭⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲙⲡⲟⲟϩ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲛⲥⲓⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲣ ⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉϥⲧⲙⲣ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲛϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲟⲛ ⲛϯϩⲉ
13 Then I looked, and I heard a solitary eagle crying in a loud voice, as it flew across the sky, "Alas, alas, alas, for the inhabitants of the earth, because of the significance of the remaining trumpets which the three angels are about to blow!"
