< Revelation 18 >
1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from Heaven, armed with great power. The earth shone with his splendor,
Oluvannyuma lw’ebyo ne ndaba malayika omulala ng’akka okuva mu ggulu n’obuyinza obungi ennyo era ensi n’eyakaayakana olw’ekitiibwa kye yalina.
2 and with a mighty voice he cried out, saying, "Great Babylon has fallen, has fallen, and has become a home for demons and a stronghold for every kind of foul spirit and for every kind of foul and hateful bird.
N’ayogera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Babulooni ekibuga ekikulu kigudde! kigudde! Kifuuse empuku ya baddayimooni, n’ekkomera lya buli mwoyo ogutali mulongoofu, n’ekkomera erya buli nnyonyi etali nnongoofu, n’ekkomera erya buli kisolo ekitali kirongoofu, ebyakyayibwa.
3 For all the nations have drunk the wine of the anger provoked by her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through her excessive luxury."
Kubanga amawanga gonna gaanywa ku mwenge gw’obwenzi bwe. Bakabaka ab’omu nsi bonna baayenda naye. Era abasuubuzi ab’omu nsi yonna bagaggawadde olw’obulamu bwe obw’okwejalabya.”
4 Then I heard another voice from Heaven, which said, "Come out of her, My people, that you may not become partakers in her sins, nor receive a share of her plagues.
Ne mpulira eddoboozi eddala nga lyogera okuva mu ggulu nga ligamba nti, “‘Mmwe abantu bange muve mu kibuga ekyo’ muleme kwegatta mu bibi bye, muleme kubonerezebwa wamu naye.
5 For her sins are piled up to the sky, and God has called to mind her unrighteous deeds.
Kubanga ebibi bye bingi nnyo, era bituuse ne mu ggulu, era Katonda ajjukira obutali butuukirivu bwe.
6 Give back to her as she has given; repay her in accordance with her doings, twice as much; in the bowl that she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
Mumuyise nga naye bwe yayisa abalala; mumubonereze emirundi ebiri olw’ebikolwa bye ebibi. Mumuyengere emirundi ebiri mu kikompe kye yagabulirangamu abalala.
7 She has freely glorified herself and revelled in luxury; equally freely administer torment to her, and woe. For in her heart she boasts, saying, 'I sit enthroned as Queen: no widow am I: I shall never know sorrow.'
Nga bwe yeegulumiza ne yeejalabya, bw’otyo bw’oba omubonereza era omunakuwaze, kubanga ayogera mu mutima gwe nti, ‘Ntudde nga kabaka omukazi, siri nnamwandu, era sirina nnaku.’
8 "For this reason calamities shall come thick upon her on a single day--death and sorrow and famine--and she shall be burned to the ground. For strong is the Lord God who has judged her.
Noolwekyo ebibonyoobonyo eby’okufa n’okukaaba n’enjala birimujjira mu lunaku lumu, era alizikirizibwa n’omuliro; kubanga Mukama Katonda amusalidde omusango.
9 The kings of the earth who have committed fornication with her, and have revelled in luxury, shall weep aloud and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning,
“Bakabaka ab’omu nsi abeegatta naye mu bwenzi bwe ne beejalabya naye, balimukaabira nga bakuba ebiwoobe bwe baliraba omukka oguva mu kifo mw’alyokerwa.
10 while they stand afar off because of their terror at her heavy punishment, and say, 'Alas, alas, thou great city, O Babylon, the mighty city! For in one short hour thy doom has come!'
Baliyimirira wala nga bakankana olw’okutya era nga boogera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “‘Zikisanze, Zikisanze Babulooni ekibuga ekyo ekikulu! Ekibuga eky’amaanyi, Kubanga mu ssaawa emu omusango gwakyo gusaliddwa.’
11 And the merchants of the earth weep aloud and lament over her, because now there is no sale for their cargoes--
“Abasuubuzi b’omu nsi balimukaabira nga bamukungubagira kubanga nga tewakyali abagulako byamaguzi byabwe.
12 cargoes of gold and silver, of jewels and pearls, of fine linen, purple and silk, and of scarlet stuff; all kinds of rare woods, and all kinds of goods in ivory and in very costly wood, in bronze, steel and marble.
Ebyamaguzi ebya zaabu, n’ebya ffeeza, n’eby’amayinja ag’omuwendo, ne luulu, n’eby’engoye eza linena, n’eza kakobe, n’eza liiri, n’emyufu era na buli muti gwonna ogwa kaloosa, n’ebintu eby’amasanga, na buli kika eky’emiti egy’omuwendo ennyo, n’ebikomo, n’ebyuma awamu n’amayinja aga mabbo;
13 Also cinnamon and amomum; odors to burn as incense or for perfume; frankincense, wine, oil; fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep; horses and carriages and slaves; and the lives of men.
n’ebyakaloosa, n’ebinzaali, n’obubaane, n’omuzigo gw’omugavu, n’envinnyo, n’amafuta, n’obuwunga bw’eŋŋaano obulungi; n’ente, n’endiga; n’embalaasi, n’amagaali; n’abaddu n’emyoyo gyabwe.
14 The dainties that thy soul longed for are gone from thee, and all thine elegance and splendor have perished, and never again shall they be found.
“Ekibala emmeeme yo kye yeegombanga, tekyakirina, byonna eby’omuwendo omungi n’eby’okwejalabya tebikyali bibyo. Bikuvuddeko byonna so toliddayo kubirabako nate emirembe gyonna.”
15 Those who traded in these things, who grew wealthy through her, will stand afar off, struck with terror at her punishment,
Bwe batyo abasuubuzi abaagaggawala olw’okubaguza ebintu bino, baliyimirira wala nga nabo batya, olw’okutya okubonaabona kwe, n’okukaaba kwe, n’okunakuwala kwe,
16 weeping aloud and sorrowing, and saying, 'Alas, alas, for this great city, which was brilliantly arrayed in fine linen, and purple and scarlet stuff, and beautified with gold, jewels and pearls;
nga bagamba nti, “‘Zikisanze, Zikisanze, ekibuga ekikulu, ekifaanana ng’omukazi ayambadde engoye eza linena omulungi, n’eza kakobe, n’emyufu, era ng’ataddemu eby’omu bulago ebya zaabu n’amayinja ag’omuwendo omungi ne luulu.
17 because in one short hour all this great wealth has been laid waste!' And every shipmaster and every passenger by sea and the crews and all who ply their trade on the sea,
Mu ssaawa emu obugagga obwenkanaawo bwonna buzikiridde!’ “Era abo bonna abalina emmeeri ez’eby’obusuubuzi awamu n’abagoba baazo, n’abo abazikolamu, baayimirira wala.
18 stood afar off, and cried aloud when they saw the smoke of her burning. And they said, 'What city is like this great city?'
Bakaaba nga balaba omukka oguva mu muliro ogumwokya, nga gwambuka, nga bwe bagamba nti, ‘Ekibuga ekiri nga kino kirirabika wa nate?’
19 And they threw dust upon their heads, and cried out, weeping aloud and sorrowing. 'Alas, alas,' they said, 'for this great city, in which, through her vast wealth, the owners of all the ships on the sea have grown rich; because in one short hour she has been laid waste!'
Ne beeyiyira enfuufu ku mitwe gyabwe nga banakuwadde era nga bakaaba nga boogera nti, “‘Zikisanze, Zikisanze, ekibuga ekikulu! Kyabagaggawaza bonna abaalina ebyombo ku lubalama lw’ennyanja olw’obugagga obwakirimu, naye kaakano mu ssaawa emu byonna ebyakirimu bizikiridde.’
20 Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and you saints and Apostles and Prophets; for God has taken vengeance upon her because of you."
“Kyokka ggwe eggulu ssanyuka olw’okubonerezebwa kwe, nammwe abatukuvu ne bannabbi n’abatume musanyuke. Kubanga Katonda amusalidde omusango ku lwammwe.”
21 Then a single angel of great strength took a stone which resembled a huge millstone, and hurled it into the sea, saying, "So shall Babylon, that great city, be violently hurled down and never again be found.
Awo malayika omu ow’amaanyi n’asitula ejjinja eddene eriri ng’olubengo n’alisuula mu nnyanja nga bw’ayogera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Bwe kityo Babulooni, ekibuga ekikulu bwe kirisuulibwa wansi n’amaanyi, era tekiriddayo kulabika nate emirembe gyonna.
22 No harp or song, no flute or trumpet, shall ever again be heard in thee; no craftsman of any kind shall ever again be found in thee; nor shall the grinding of the mill ever again be heard in thee.
Mu ggwe temuliwulirwa nate ddoboozi lya bayimbi, n’abakubi b’ennanga n’ery’abafuuyi b’endere, n’ery’abafuuyi b’eŋŋombe. Mu ggwe temulisangibwamu muweesi wadde okuweesa okw’engeri yonna, newaakubadde okuvuga kw’olubengo nga basa tekuliwulirwa mu ggwe.
23 Never again shall the light of a lamp shine in thee, and never again shall the voice of a bridegroom or of a bride be heard in thee. For thy merchants were the great men of the earth, and with the magic which thou didst practise all nations were led astray.
Ekitangaala ky’ettabaaza ng’eyaka tekirirabikira mu ggwe nate, kubanga abasuubuzi be wasuubulanga nabo baamanyika nnyo mu nsi yonna, era walimbalimba amawanga gonna n’eby’obulogo bwo.
24 And in her was found the blood of Prophets and of God's people and of all who had been put to death on the earth."
Era mu Babulooni mwasangibwamu omusaayi gw’abatukuvu n’ogwa bannabbi, n’abo bonna abattibwa ku nsi.”
