Revelation 14
1 Then I looked, and I saw the Lamb standing upon Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 people, having His name and His Father's name written on their foreheads.
Je regardai encore et voici que l’Agneau se tenait sur la montagne de Sion, et avec lui cent quarante-quatre mille personnes, qui avaient son nom et le nom de son Père écrits sur le front.
2 And I heard music from Heaven which resembled the sound of many waters and the roar of loud thunder; and the music which I heard was like that of harpists playing upon their harps.
Et j’entendis un son qui venait du ciel, pareil au bruit de grandes eaux et à la voix d’un puissant tonnerre; et le son que j’entendis ressemblait à un concert de harpistes jouant de leurs instruments.
3 And they were singing what seemed to be a new song, in front of the throne and in the presence of the four living creatures and the Elders; and no one was able to learn that song except the 144,000 people who had been redeemed out of the world.
Et ils chantaient comme un cantique nouveau devant le trône, et devant les quatre animaux et les vieillards; et nul ne pouvait apprendre ce cantique, si ce n’est les cent quarante-quatre mille qui ont été rachetés de la terre.
4 These are those who had not defiled themselves with women: they are as pure as virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been redeemed from among men, as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
Ce sont ceux qui ne se sont pas souillés avec des femmes, car ils sont vierges. Ce sont eux qui accompagnent l’Agneau partout où il va. Ils ont été rachetés d’entre les hommes, comme des prémices pour Dieu et pour l’Agneau;
5 And no lie has ever been found upon their lips: they are faultless.
et il ne s’est point trouvé de mensonge dans leur bouche, car ils sont irréprochables.
6 And I saw another angel flying across the sky, carrying the Good News of the Ages to tell to every nation, tribe, language and people, among those who live on the earth. (aiōnios g166)
Puis je vis un autre ange qui volait par le milieu du ciel, tenant l’Évangile éternel, pour l’annoncer aux habitants de la terre, à toute nation, à toute tribu, à toute langue et à tout peuple. (aiōnios g166)
7 He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give Him glory, because the time of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made sky and earth, the sea and the water-springs."
Il disait d’une voix forte: « Craignez Dieu et donnez-lui gloire, car l’heure de son jugement est venue; adorez Celui qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer et les sources des eaux. »
8 And another, a second angel, followed, exclaiming, "Great Babylon has fallen, has fallen--she who made all the nations drink the wine of the anger provoked by her fornication."
Et un autre ange suivit, en disant: « Elle est tombée, elle est tombée, Babylone la grande, qui a abreuvé toutes les nations du vin de la fureur de son impudicité! »
9 And another, a third angel, followed them, exclaiming in a loud voice, "If any one worships the Wild Beast and his statue, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
Et un troisième ange les suivit, en disant d’une voix forte: « Si quelqu’un adore la bête et son image, et en prend la marque sur son front ou sur sa main,
10 he shall drink the wine of God's anger which stands ready, undiluted, in the cup of His fury, and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
il boira, lui aussi, du vin de la fureur de Dieu, du vin pur versé dans la coupe de sa colère, et il sera tourmenté dans le feu et dans le soufre, sous les yeux des saints anges et de l’Agneau.
11 And the smoke of their torment goes up until the Ages of the Ages; and the worshipers of the Wild Beast and his statue have no rest day or night, nor has any one who receives the mark of his name. (aiōn g165)
Et la fumée de leur supplice s’élèvera aux siècles des siècles, et il n’y aura de repos, ni jour ni nuit, pour ceux qui adorent la bête et son image, ni pour quiconque aura reçu la marque de son nom. » (aiōn g165)
12 Here is an opportunity for endurance on the part of God's people, who carefully keep His commandments and the faith of Jesus!"
C’est ici que doit se montrer la patience des saints, qui gardent les commandements de Dieu et la foi en Jésus.
13 And I heard a voice speaking from Heaven. It said, "Write as follows: "'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from this time onward. Yes, says the Spirit, let them rest from their sorrowful labours; for what they have done goes with them.'"
Et j’entendis une voix venant du ciel, qui disait: « Écris: Heureux dès maintenant les morts qui meurent dans le Seigneur! » — « Oui, dit l’Esprit, qu’ils se reposent de leurs travaux, car leurs œuvres les suivent. »
14 Then I looked, and a white cloud appeared, and sitting on the cloud was some One resembling the Son of Man, having a wreath of gold upon His head and in His hand a sharp sickle.
Puis je regardai, et voici que parut une nuée blanche, et sur la nuée quelqu’un était assis qui ressemblait à un fils de l’homme ayant sur sa tête une couronne d’or, et dans sa main une faucille tranchante.
15 And another, an angel, came out of the sanctuary, calling in a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, and saying, "Use your sickle and reap the harvest, for the hour for reaping it has come: the harvest of the earth is over-ripe."
Et un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire, criant d’une voix forte à celui qui était assis sur la nuée: « Lance ta faucille et moissonne; car le moment de moissonner est venu, parce que la moisson de la terre est mûre. »
16 Then He who sat on the cloud flung His sickle on the earth, and the earth had its harvest reaped.
Alors Celui qui était assis sur la nuée jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et la terre fut moissonnée.
17 And another angel came out from the sanctuary in Heaven, and he too carried a sharp sickle.
Un autre ange sortit du sanctuaire qui est dans le ciel, portant, lui aussi, une faucille tranchante.
18 And another angel came out from the altar--he who had power over fire--and he spoke in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Use your sharp sickle, and gather the bunches from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are now quite ripe."
Et un autre ange, celui qui a pouvoir sur le feu, sortit de l’autel, et s’adressa d’une voix forte à celui qui avait la faucille tranchante, disant: « Lance ta faucille tranchante, et coupe les grappes de la vigne de la terre, car les raisins en sont murs. »
19 And the angel flung his sickle down to the earth, and reaped the vine of the earth and threw the grapes into the great winepress of God's anger.
Et l’ange jeta sa faucille sur la terre, et vendangea la vigne de la terre, et il en jeta les grappes dans la grande cuve de la colère de Dieu.
20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and out of it came blood reaching the horses' bridles for a distance of 200 miles.
La cuve fut foulée hors de la ville, et il en sortit du sang jusqu’à la hauteur du mors des chevaux, sur un espace de mille six cents stades.
