Matthew 9
1 Accordingly He went on board, and crossing over came to His own town.
इसलिये येशु नाव में सवार होकर झील पार करके अपने ही नगर में आ गए.
2 Here they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith Jesus said to the paralytic, "Take courage, my child; your sins are pardoned."
कुछ लोग एक लकवा पीड़ित को बिछौने पर उनके पास लाए. उनका विश्वास देख येशु ने रोगी से कहा, “तुम्हारे लिए यह आनंद का विषय है: तुम्हारे पाप क्षमा हो गए हैं.”
3 "Such language is impious," said some of the Scribes among themselves.
कुछ शास्त्री आपस में कहने लगे, “यह तो परमेश्वर की निंदा कर रहा है!”
4 Knowing their thoughts Jesus said, "Why are you cherishing evil thoughts in your hearts?
उनके विचारों का अहसास होने पर येशु उन्हें संबोधित कर बोले, “क्यों अपने मनों में बुरा विचार कर रहे हो?
5 Why, which is easier? --to say, 'Your sins are pardoned,' or to say 'Rise up and walk'?
क्या कहना सरल है, ‘तुम्हारे पाप क्षमा हो गए’ या ‘उठो, चलने लगो?’
6 But, to prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to pardon sins" --He then says to the paralytic, "Rise, and take up your bed and go home."
किंतु इसका उद्देश्य यह है कि तुम्हें यह मालूम हो जाए कि मनुष्य के पुत्र को पृथ्वी पर पाप क्षमा का अधिकार सौंपा गया है.” तब रोगी से येशु ने कहा, “उठो, अपना बिछौना उठाओ और अपने घर जाओ.”
7 And he got up, and went off home.
वह उठा और घर चला गया.
8 And the crowds were awe-struck when they saw it, and ascribed the glory to God who had entrusted such power to a man.
यह देख भीड़ हैरान रह गई और परमेश्वर का गुणगान करने लगी, जिन्होंने मनुष्यों को इस प्रकार का अधिकार दिया है.
9 Passing on thence Jesus saw a man called Matthew sitting at the Toll Office, and said to him, "Follow me." And he arose, and followed Him.
वहां से जाने के बाद येशु ने चुंगी लेनेवाले के आसन पर बैठे हुए एक व्यक्ति को देखा, जिसका नाम मत्तियाह था. येशु ने उसे आज्ञा दी, “मेरे पीछे हो ले.” मत्तियाह उठकर येशु के साथ हो लिए.
10 And while He was reclining at table, a large number of tax-gathers and notorious sinners were of the party with Jesus and His disciples.
जब येशु भोजन के लिए बैठे थे, अनेक चुंगी लेनेवाले तथा अपराधी व्यक्ति भी उनके साथ शामिल थे.
11 The Pharisees noticed this, and they inquired of His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with the tax-gatherers and notorious sinners?"
यह देख फ़रीसियों ने आपत्ति उठाते हुए येशु के शिष्यों से कहा, “तुम्हारे गुरु चुंगी लेनेवाले और अपराधी व्यक्तियों के साथ भोजन क्यों करते हैं?”
12 He heard the question and replied, "It is not men in good health who require a doctor, but the sick.
यह सुन येशु ने स्पष्ट किया, “चिकित्सक की ज़रूरत स्वस्थ व्यक्ति को नहीं परंतु रोगी व्यक्ति को होती है.
13 But go and learn what this means, 'It is mercy that I desire, not sacrifice'; for I did not come to appeal to the righteous, but to sinners."
अब जाओ और इस कहावत का अर्थ समझो: ‘मैं बलिदान से नहीं, पर दया से प्रसन्न होता हूं,’ क्योंकि मैं धर्मियों को नहीं परंतु पापियों को बुलाने के लिए इस पृथ्वी पर आया हूं.”
14 At that time John's disciples came and asked Jesus, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not?"
बपतिस्मा देनेवाले योहन के शिष्य येशु के पास आए और उनसे प्रश्न किया, “क्या कारण है कि फ़रीसी और हम तो उपवास करते हैं किंतु आपके शिष्य नहीं?”
15 "Can the bridegroom's party mourn," He replied, "as long as the bridegroom is with them? But other days will come (when the Bridegroom has been taken from them) and then they will fast.
येशु ने उन्हें समझाया: “क्या यह संभव है कि दुल्हे के होते हुए बाराती विलाप करें? हां, ऐसा समय आएगा जब दूल्हा उनसे अलग कर दिया जाएगा—तब वे उपवास करेंगे.
16 No one ever mends an old cloak with a patch of newly woven cloth. Otherwise, the patch put on would tear away some of the old, and a worse hole would be made.
“पुराने वस्त्र में कोई भी नये कपड़े का जोड़ नहीं लगाता, नहीं तो कोरा वस्त्र का जोड़ सिकुड़ कर वस्त्र से अलग हो जाता है और वस्त्र और भी अधिक फट जाता है.
17 Nor do people pour new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the skins would split, the wine would escape, and the skins be destroyed. But they put new wine into fresh skins, and both are saved."
वैसे ही लोग नए दाखरस को पुरानी मशकों में नहीं रखते; अन्यथा वे फट जाती हैं और दाखरस तो बहकर नाश हो ही जाता है, साथ ही मशके भी. नया दाखरस नई मशकों में ही रखा जाता है. परिणामस्वरूप दोनों ही सुरक्षित रहते हैं.”
18 While He was thus speaking, a Ruler came up and profoundly bowing said, "My daughter is just dead; but come and put your hand upon her and she will return to life."
जब येशु उन लोगों से इन विषयों पर बातचीत कर रहे थे, यहूदी सभागृह का एक अधिकारी उनके पास आया और उनके सामने झुककर विनती करने लगा, “कुछ देर पहले ही मेरी पुत्री की मृत्यु हुई है. आप कृपया आकर उस पर हाथ रख दीजिए और वह जीवित हो जाएगी.”
19 And Jesus rose and followed him, as did also His disciples.
येशु और उनके शिष्य उसके साथ चले गए.
20 But a woman who for twelve years had been afflicted with haemorrhage came behind Him and touched the tassel of His cloak;
मार्ग में बारह वर्ष से लहूस्राव-पीड़ित एक स्त्री ने पीछे से आकर येशु के वस्त्र के छोर को छुआ,
21 for she said to herself, "If I but touch His cloak, I shall be cured."
क्योंकि उसने अपने मन में यह कहा था: “यदि मैं उनके वस्त्र को भी छू लूं, तो मैं रोगमुक्त हो जाऊंगी.”
22 And Jesus turned and saw her, and said, "Take courage, daughter; your faith has cured you." And the woman was restored to health from that moment.
येशु ने पीछे मुड़कर उसे देखा और उससे कहा, “तुम्हारे लिए यह आनंद का विषय है: तुम्हारे विश्वास ने तुम्हें स्वस्थ कर दिया.” उसी क्षण वह स्त्री स्वस्थ हो गई.
23 Entering the Ruler's house, Jesus saw the flute-players and the crowd loudly wailing,
जब येशु यहूदी सभागृह के अधिकारी के घर पर पहुंचे तो उन्होंने भीड़ का कोलाहल और बांसुरी वादक शोक-संगीत बजाते हुए भी सुना.
24 and He said, "Go out of the room; the little girl is not dead, but asleep." And they laughed at Him.
इसलिये उन्होंने आज्ञा दी, “यहां से चले जाओ क्योंकि बालिका की मृत्यु नहीं हुई है—वह सो रही है.” इस पर वे येशु का ठट्ठा करने लगे,
25 When however the place was cleared of the crowd, Jesus went in, and on His taking the little girl by the hand, she rose up.
किंतु जब भीड़ को बाहर निकाल दिया गया, येशु ने कक्ष में प्रवेश कर बालिका का हाथ पकड़ा और वह उठ बैठी.
26 And the report of this spread throughout all that district.
यह समाचार सारे क्षेत्र में फैल गया.
27 As Jesus passed on, two blind men followed Him, shouting and saying, "Pity us, Son of David."
जब येशु वहां से विदा हुए, दो अंधे व्यक्ति यह पुकारते हुए उनके पीछे चलने लगे, “दावीद-पुत्र, हम पर कृपा कीजिए!”
28 And when He had gone indoors, they came to Him. "Do you believe that I can do this?" He asked them. "Yes, Sir," they replied.
जब येशु ने घर में प्रवेश किया वे अंधे भी उनके पास पहुंच गए. येशु ने उनसे प्रश्न किया, “क्या तुम्हें विश्वास है कि मुझमें यह करने का सामर्थ्य है?” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “जी हां, प्रभु.”
29 So He touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be to you."
तब येशु ने यह कहते हुए उनके नेत्रों का स्पर्श किया, “तुम्हारे विश्वास के अनुसार तुम्हारी इच्छा पूरी हो,”
30 Then their eyes were opened. And assuming a stern tone Jesus said to them, "Be careful to let no one know."
और उन्हें दृष्टि प्राप्त हो गई. येशु ने उन्हें कड़ी चेतावनी दी, “यह ध्यान रखना कि इसके विषय में किसी को मालूम न होने पाए!”
31 But they went out and published His fame in all that district.
किंतु उन्होंने जाकर सभी क्षेत्र में येशु के विषय में यह समाचार प्रसारित कर दिया.
32 And as they were leaving His presence a dumb demoniac was brought to Him.
जब वे सब वहां से बाहर निकल रहे थे, उनके सामने एक गूंगा व्यक्ति, जो दुष्टात्मा से पीड़ित था, लाया गया.
33 When the demon was expelled, the dumb man could speak. And the crowds exclaimed in astonishment, "Never was such a thing seen in Israel."
दुष्टात्मा के निकल जाने के बाद वह बातें करने लगा. यह देख भीड़ चकित रह गई और कहने लगी, “इससे पहले इस्राएल में ऐसा कभी नहीं देखा गया.”
34 But the Pharisees maintained, "It is by the power of the Prince of the demons that he drives out the demons."
जबकि फ़रीसी कह रहे थे, “यह दुष्टात्मा का निकालना दुष्टात्मा के प्रधान की सहायता से करता है.”
35 And Jesus continued His circuits through all the towns and the villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and curing every kind of disease and infirmity.
येशु नगर-नगर और गांव-गांव की यात्रा कर रहे थे. वह उनके यहूदी सभागृहों में शिक्षा देते, स्वर्ग-राज्य के सुसमाचार का प्रचार करते तथा हर एक प्रकार के रोग और दुर्बलताओं को स्वस्थ करते जा रहे थे.
36 And when He saw the crowds He was touched with pity for them, because they were distressed and were fainting on the ground like sheep which have no shepherd.
भीड़ को देख येशु का हृदय करुणा से दुःखित हो उठा क्योंकि वे बिन चरवाहे की भेड़ों के समान व्याकुल और निराश थे.
37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is abundant, but the reapers are few;
इस पर येशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “उपज तो बहुत है किंतु मज़दूर कम,
38 therefore entreat the Owner of the Harvest to send out reapers into His fields."
इसलिये उपज के स्वामी से विनती करो कि इस उपज के लिए मज़दूर भेज दें.”
