< Matthew 28 >

1 After the Sabbath, in the early dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre.
Oluvannyuma lwa Ssabbiiti ku lunaku olusooka mu nnaku omusanvu, ng’obudde bukya, Maliyamu Magudaleene ne Maliyamu oli omulala ne balaga ku ntaana.
2 But to their amazement there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had descended from Heaven, and had come and rolled back the stone, and was sitting upon it.
Mu kiseera ekyo ne wabaawo okukankana ng’okwa musisi. Malayika wa Mukama yakka okuva mu ggulu n’ayiringisa ejjinja ne liva mu mulyango gw’entaana, n’alituulako.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
Amaaso ge gaali gamasamasa ng’okumyansa kw’eraddu, n’ekyambalo kye nga kyeru ekitukula be tukutuku.
4 For fear of him the guards trembled violently, and became like dead men.
Abakuumi bwe baamulaba, ne bakankana nga batidde nnyo ne bagwa wansi ne baba ng’abafudde.
5 But the angel said to the women, "As for you, dismiss your fears. I know that it is Jesus that you are looking for--the crucified One.
Awo malayika n’agamba abakazi nti, “Temutya. Mmanyi nga munoonya Yesu, eyakomererwa,
6 He is not here: He has come back to life, as He foretold. Come and see the place where He lay.
wabula taliiwo wano! Azuukidde mu bafu, nga bwe yagamba. Muyingire mulabe we yali agalamiziddwa.
7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead and is going before you into Galilee: there you shall see Him. Remember, I have told you."
Kale kaakano, mugende mangu mutegeeze abayigirizwa be nti, Azuukidde mu bafu, era abakulembeddemu okugenda e Ggaliraaya gye mulimusisinkana. Obwo bwe bubaka bwange bwe muba mubatuusaako.”
8 They quickly left the tomb and ran, still terrified but full of unspeakable joy, to carry the news to His disciples.
Abakazi abo ne badduka embiro nnyingi nga bava ku ntaana kyokka nga batidde nnyo, naye ate nga bajjudde essanyu. Ne bayanguwa mangu okugenda okubuulira abayigirizwa be.
9 And then suddenly they saw Jesus coming to meet them. "Peace be to you," He said. And they came and clasped His feet, bowing to the ground before Him.
Bwe baali bagenda, amangwago Yesu n’ayimirira mu maaso gaabwe! N’abalamusa nti, “Mirembe?” Ne bagwa wansi ne bavuunama mu maaso ge, ne bamukwata ku bigere ne bamusinza.
10 Then He said, "Dismiss all fear! Go and take word to my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me."
Awo Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Temutya, mugende mugambe abooluganda bagende mangu e Ggaliraaya, gye balindabira.”
11 While they went on this errand, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the High Priests every detail of what had happened.
Abakazi bwe baali bagenda mu kibuga, abamu ku bakuumi abaali bakuuma entaana ne bagenda eri bakabona abakulu ne babategeeza byonna ebibaddewo.
12 So the latter held a conference with the Elders, and after consultation with them they heavily bribed the soldiers,
Awo abakulembeze b’Abayudaaya bonna ne bakuŋŋaana ne bateesa era ne batoola ffeeza na basalawo bagulirire abakuumi.
13 telling them to say, "His disciples came during the night and stole his body while we were asleep."
Ne babalagira bagambe nti, “Bwe twali twebase ekiro, abayigirizwa ne bajja ne babba omulambo gwa Yesu ne bagutwala.”
14 "And if this," they added, "is reported to the Governor, we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
Abaali mu lukiiko olwo ne basuubiza abakuumi nti, “Singa ebigambo bino bituuka ku gavana, ffe tujja kumuwooyawooya, tubazibire.”
15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story was noised about among the Jews, and is current to this day.
Bwe batyo abaserikale ne balya enguzi, ne bakkiriza okwogera nga bwe baabagamba. Ebigambo byabwe ne bibuna nnyo wonna mu Buyudaaya, n’okutuusa ku lunaku lwa leero.
16 As for the eleven disciples, they proceeded into Galilee, to the hill where Jesus had arranged to meet them.
Awo abayigirizwa ekkumi n’omu ne basitula ne bagenda e Ggaliraaya ku lusozi Yesu gye yabagamba okumusanga.
17 There they saw Him and prostrated themselves before Him. Yet some doubted.
Ne bamusisinkana ne bamusinza. Naye abamu ku bo tebaakakasiza ddala nti ye Yesu, ne babuusabuusa!
18 Jesus however came near and said to them, "All power in Heaven and over the earth has been given to me.
Awo Yesu n’asemberera abayigirizwa be n’abategeeza nti, “Mpeereddwa obuyinza bwonna mu ggulu ne ku nsi.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations; baptize them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
Kale mugende mufuule abantu bonna mu nsi zonna, abayigirizwa nga mubabatiza mu linnya lya Kitaffe, Omwana era Mwoyo Mutukuvu.
20 and teach them to obey every command which I have given you. And remember, I am with you always, day by day, until the Close of the Age." (aiōn g165)
Era mubayigirize okugonderanga byonna bye nabalagira mmwe, era Ndi nammwe bulijjo n’okutuukira ddala ensi lw’eriggwaawo.” (aiōn g165)
