Matthew 25
1 "Then will the Kingdom of the Heavens be found to be like ten bridesmaids who took their torches and went out to meet the bridegroom.
யா த³ஸ² கந்யா: ப்ரதீ³பாந் க்³ரு’ஹ்லத்யோ வரம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் கர்த்தும்’ ப³ஹிரிதா: , தாபி⁴ஸ்ததா³ ஸ்வர்கீ³யராஜ்யஸ்ய ஸாத்³ரு’ஸ்²யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
தாஸாம்’ கந்யாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே பஞ்ச ஸுதி⁴ய: பஞ்ச து³ர்தி⁴ய ஆஸந்|
3 For the foolish, when they took their torches, did not provide themselves with oil;
யா து³ர்தி⁴யஸ்தா: ப்ரதீ³பாந் ஸங்கே³ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தைலம்’ ந ஜக்³ரு’ஹு: ,
4 but the wise, besides their torches, took oil in their flasks.
கிந்து ஸுதி⁴ய: ப்ரதீ³பாந் பாத்ரேண தைலஞ்ச ஜக்³ரு’ஹு: |
5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, so that meanwhile they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
அநந்தரம்’ வரே விலம்பி³தே தா: ஸர்வ்வா நித்³ராவிஷ்டா நித்³ராம்’ ஜக்³மு: |
6 But at midnight there is a loud cry, "'The bridegroom! Go out and meet him!'
அநந்தரம் அர்த்³த⁴ராத்ரே பஸ்²யத வர ஆக³ச்ச²தி, தம்’ ஸாக்ஷாத் கர்த்தும்’ ப³ஹிர்யாதேதி ஜநரவாத்
7 "Then all those bridesmaids roused themselves and trimmed their torches.
தா: ஸர்வ்வா: கந்யா உத்தா²ய ப்ரதீ³பாந் ஆஸாத³யிதும்’ ஆரப⁴ந்த|
8 "'Give us some of your oil,' said the foolish ones to the wise, 'for our torches are going out.'
ததோ து³ர்தி⁴ய: ஸுதி⁴ய ஊசு: , கிஞ்சித் தைலம்’ த³த்த, ப்ரதீ³பா அஸ்மாகம்’ நிர்வ்வாணா: |
9 "'But perhaps,' replied the wise, 'there will not be enough for all of us. Go to the shops rather, and buy some for yourselves.'
கிந்து ஸுதி⁴ய: ப்ரத்யவத³ந், த³த்தே யுஷ்மாநஸ்மாம்’ஸ்²ச ப்ரதி தைலம்’ ந்யூநீப⁴வேத், தஸ்மாத்³ விக்ரேத்ரு’ணாம்’ ஸமீபம்’ க³த்வா ஸ்வார்த²ம்’ தைலம்’ க்ரீணீத|
10 "So they went to buy. But meanwhile the bridegroom came; those bridesmaids who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet; and the door was shut.
ததா³ தாஸு க்ரேதும்’ க³தாஸு வர ஆஜகா³ம, ததோ யா: ஸஜ்ஜிதா ஆஸந், தாஸ்தேந ஸாகம்’ விவாஹீயம்’ வேஸ்²ம ப்ரவிவிஸு²: |
11 "Afterwards the other bridesmaids came and cried, "'Sir, Sir, open the door to us.'
அநந்தரம்’ த்³வாரே ருத்³தே⁴ அபரா: கந்யா ஆக³த்ய ஜக³து³: , ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, அஸ்மாந் ப்ரதி த்³வாரம்’ மோசய|
12 "'In solemn truth I tell you,' he replied, 'I do not know you.'
கிந்து ஸ உக்தவாந், தத்²யம்’ வதா³மி, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ ந வேத்³மி|
13 "Keep awake therefore; for you know neither the day nor the hour.
அதோ ஜாக்³ரத: ஸந்தஸ்திஷ்ட²த, மநுஜஸுத: கஸ்மிந் தி³நே கஸ்மிந் த³ண்டே³ வாக³மிஷ்யதி, தத்³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந ஜ்ஞாயதே|
14 "Why, it is like a man who, when going on his travels, called his bondservants and entrusted his property to their care.
அபரம்’ ஸ ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²: கஸ்யசித் பும்’ஸஸ்துல்ய: , யோ தூ³ரதே³ஸ²ம்’ ப்ரதி யாத்ராகாலே நிஜதா³ஸாந் ஆஹூய தேஷாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்வஸாமர்த்²யாநுரூபம்
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one--to each according to his individual capacity; and then started from home.
ஏகஸ்மிந் முத்³ராணாம்’ பஞ்ச போடலிகா: அந்யஸ்மிம்’ஸ்²ச த்³வே போடலிகே அபரஸ்மிம்’ஸ்²ச போடலிகைகாம் இத்த²ம்’ ப்ரதிஜநம்’ ஸமர்ப்ய ஸ்வயம்’ ப்ரவாஸம்’ க³தவாந்|
16 Without delay the one who had received the five talents went and employed them in business, and gained five more.
அநந்தரம்’ யோ தா³ஸ: பஞ்ச போடலிகா: லப்³த⁴வாந், ஸ க³த்வா வாணிஜ்யம்’ விதா⁴ய தா த்³விகு³ணீசகார|
17 In the same way he who had the two gained two more.
யஸ்²ச தா³ஸோ த்³வே போடலிகே அலப⁴த, ஸோபி தா முத்³ரா த்³விகு³ணீசகார|
18 But the man who had received the one went and dug a hole and buried his master's money.
கிந்து யோ தா³ஸ ஏகாம்’ போடலிகாம்’ லப்³த⁴வாந், ஸ க³த்வா பூ⁴மிம்’ க²நித்வா தந்மத்⁴யே நிஜப்ரபோ⁴ஸ்தா முத்³ரா கோ³பயாஞ்சகார|
19 "After a long lapse of time the master of those servants returned, and had a reckoning with them.
தத³நந்தரம்’ ப³ஹுதிதே² காலே க³தே தேஷாம்’ தா³ஸாநாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ராக³த்ய தைர்தா³ஸை: ஸமம்’ க³ணயாஞ்சகார|
20 The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, and said, "'Sir, it was five talents that you entrusted to me: see, I have gained five more.'
ததா³நீம்’ ய: பஞ்ச போடலிகா: ப்ராப்தவாந் ஸ தா த்³விகு³ணீக்ரு’தமுத்³ரா ஆநீய ஜகா³த³; ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, ப⁴வதா மயி பஞ்ச போடலிகா: ஸமர்பிதா: , பஸ்²யது, தா மயா த்³விகு³ணீக்ரு’தா: |
21 "'You have done well, good and trustworthy servant,' replied his master; 'you have been trustworthy in the management of a little, I will put you in charge of much: share your master's joy.'
ததா³நீம்’ தஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தமுவாச, ஹே உத்தம விஸ்²வாஸ்ய தா³ஸ, த்வம்’ த⁴ந்யோஸி, ஸ்தோகேந விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ஜாத: , தஸ்மாத் த்வாம்’ ப³ஹுவித்தாதி⁴பம்’ கரோமி, த்வம்’ ஸ்வப்ரபோ⁴: ஸுக²ஸ்ய பா⁴கீ³ ப⁴வ|
22 "The second, who had received the two talents, came and said, "'Sir, it was two talents you entrusted to me: see, I have gained two more.'
ததோ யேந த்³வே போடலிகே லப்³தே⁴ ஸோப்யாக³த்ய ஜகா³த³, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, ப⁴வதா மயி த்³வே போடலிகே ஸமர்பிதே, பஸ்²யது தே மயா த்³விகு³ணீக்ரு’தே|
23 "'Good and trustworthy servant, you have done well,' his master replied; 'you have been trustworthy in the management of a little, I will put you in charge of much: share your master's joy.'
தேந தஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தமவோசத், ஹே உத்தம விஸ்²வாஸ்ய தா³ஸ, த்வம்’ த⁴ந்யோஸி, ஸ்தோகேந விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ஜாத: , தஸ்மாத் த்வாம்’ ப³ஹுத்³ரவிணாதி⁴பம்’ கரோமி, த்வம்’ நிஜப்ரபோ⁴: ஸுக²ஸ்ய பா⁴கீ³ ப⁴வ|
24 "But, next, the man who had the one talent in his keeping came and said, "'Sir, I knew you to be a severe man, reaping where you had not sown and garnering what you had not winnowed.
அநந்தரம்’ ய ஏகாம்’ போடலிகாம்’ லப்³த⁴வாந், ஸ ஏத்ய கதி²தவாந், ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, த்வாம்’ கடி²நநரம்’ ஜ்ஞாதவாந், த்வயா யத்ர நோப்தம்’, தத்ரைவ க்ரு’த்யதே, யத்ர ச ந கீர்ணம்’, தத்ரைவ ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்யதே|
25 So being afraid I went and buried your talent in the ground: there you have what belongs to you.'
அதோஹம்’ ஸஸ²ங்க: ஸந் க³த்வா தவ முத்³ரா பூ⁴மத்⁴யே ஸம்’கோ³ப்ய ஸ்தா²பிதவாந், பஸ்²ய, தவ யத் ததே³வ க்³ரு’ஹாண|
26 "'You wicked and slothful servant,' replied his master, 'did you know that I reap where I have not sown, and garner what I have not winnowed?
ததா³ தஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴: ப்ரத்யவத³த் ரே து³ஷ்டாலஸ தா³ஸ, யத்ராஹம்’ ந வபாமி, தத்ர சி²நத்³மி, யத்ர ச ந கிராமி, தத்ரேவ ஸம்’க்³ரு’ஹ்லாமீதி சேத³ஜாநாஸ்தர்ஹி
27 Your duty then was to deposit my money in some bank, and so when I came I should have got back my property with interest.
வணிக்ஷு மம வித்தார்பணம்’ தவோசிதமாஸீத், யேநாஹமாக³த்ய வ்ரு’த்³வ்யா ஸாகம்’ மூலமுத்³ரா: ப்ராப்ஸ்யம்|
28 So take away the talent from him, and give it to the man who has the ten.'
அதோஸ்மாத் தாம்’ போடலிகாம் ஆதா³ய யஸ்ய த³ஸ² போடலிகா: ஸந்தி தஸ்மிந்நர்பயத|
29 (For to every one who has, more shall be given, and he shall have abundance; but from him who has nothing, even what he has shall be taken away.)
யேந வர்த்³வ்யதே தஸ்மிந்நைவார்பிஷ்யதே, தஸ்யைவ ச பா³ஹுல்யம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யதி, கிந்து யேந ந வர்த்³வ்யதே, தஸ்யாந்திகே யத் கிஞ்சந திஷ்ட²தி, தத³பி புநர்நேஷ்யதே|
30 'But as for this worthless servant, put him out into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.'
அபரம்’ யூயம்’ தமகர்ம்மண்யம்’ தா³ஸம்’ நீத்வா யத்ர ஸ்தா²நே க்ரந்த³நம்’ த³ந்தக⁴ர்ஷணஞ்ச வித்³யேதே, தஸ்மிந் ப³ஹிர்பூ⁴ததமஸி நிக்ஷிபத|
31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then will He sit upon His glorious throne,
யதா³ மநுஜஸுத: பவித்ரதூ³தாந் ஸங்கி³ந: க்ரு’த்வா நிஜப்ரபா⁴வேநாக³த்ய நிஜதேஜோமயே ஸிம்’ஹாஸநே நிவேக்ஷ்யதி,
32 and all the nations will be gathered into His presence. And He will separate them from one another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
ததா³ தத்ஸம்முகே² ஸர்வ்வஜாதீயா ஜநா ஸம்’மேலிஷ்யந்தி| ததோ மேஷபாலகோ யதா² சா²கே³ப்⁴யோ(அ)வீந் ப்ரு’த²க் கரோதி ததா² ஸோப்யேகஸ்மாத³ந்யம் இத்த²ம்’ தாந் ப்ரு’த²க க்ரு’த்வாவீந்
33 and will make the sheep stand at His right hand, and the goats at His left.
த³க்ஷிணே சா²கா³ம்’ஸ்²ச வாமே ஸ்தா²பயிஷ்யதி|
34 "Then the King will say to those at His right, "'Come, my Father's blessed ones, receive your inheritance of the Kingdom which has been divinely intended for you ever since the creation of the world.
தத: பரம்’ ராஜா த³க்ஷிணஸ்தி²தாந் மாநவாந் வதி³ஷ்யதி, ஆக³ச்ச²த மத்தாதஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹபா⁴ஜநாநி, யுஷ்மத்க்ரு’த ஆ ஜக³தா³ரம்ப⁴த் யத்³ ராஜ்யம் ஆஸாதி³தம்’ தத³தி⁴குருத|
35 For when I was hungry, you gave me food; when I was thirsty, you gave me drink; when I was homeless, you gave me a welcome;
யதோ பு³பு⁴க்ஷிதாய மஹ்யம்’ போ⁴ஜ்யம் அத³த்த, பிபாஸிதாய பேயமத³த்த, விதே³ஸி²நம்’ மாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்தா²நமநயத,
36 when I was ill-clad, you clothed me; when I was sick, you visited me; when I was in prison, you came to see me.'
வஸ்த்ரஹீநம்’ மாம்’ வஸநம்’ பர்ய்யதா⁴பயத, பீடீ³தம்’ மாம்’ த்³ரஷ்டுமாக³ச்ச²த, காராஸ்த²ஞ்ச மாம்’ வீக்ஷிதும ஆக³ச்ச²த|
37 "'When, Lord,' the righteous will reply, 'did we see Thee hungry, and feed Thee; or thirsty, and give Thee drink?
ததா³ தா⁴ர்ம்மிகா: ப்ரதிவதி³ஷ்யந்தி, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, கதா³ த்வாம்’ க்ஷுதி⁴தம்’ வீக்ஷ்ய வயமபோ⁴ஜயாம? வா பிபாஸிதம்’ வீக்ஷ்ய அபாயயாம?
38 When did we see Thee homeless, and give Thee a welcome? or ill-clad, and clothe Thee?
கதா³ வா த்வாம்’ விதே³ஸி²நம்’ விலோக்ய ஸ்வஸ்தா²நமநயாம? கதா³ வா த்வாம்’ நக்³நம்’ வீக்ஷ்ய வஸநம்’ பர்ய்யதா⁴பயாம?
39 When did we see Thee sick or in prison, and come to see Thee?'
கதா³ வா த்வாம்’ பீடி³தம்’ காராஸ்த²ஞ்ச வீக்ஷ்ய த்வத³ந்திகமக³ச்சா²ம?
40 "But the King will answer them, "'In solemn truth I tell you that in so far as you rendered such services to one of the humblest of these my brethren, you rendered them to myself.'
ததா³நீம்’ ராஜா தாந் ப்ரதிவதி³ஷ்யதி, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ ஸத்யம்’ வதா³மி, மமைதேஷாம்’ ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ மத்⁴யே கஞ்சநைகம்’ க்ஷுத்³ரதமம்’ ப்ரதி யத்³ அகுருத, தந்மாம்’ ப்ரத்யகுருத|
41 "Then will He say to those at His left, "'Begone from me, with the curse resting upon you, into the Fire of the Ages, which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels. (aiōnios g166)
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ வாமஸ்தி²தாந் ஜநாந் வதி³ஷ்யதி, ரே ஸா²பக்³ரஸ்தா: ஸர்வ்வே, ஸை²தாநே தஸ்ய தூ³தேப்⁴யஸ்²ச யோ(அ)நந்தவஹ்நிராஸாதி³த ஆஸ்தே, யூயம்’ மத³ந்திகாத் தமக்³நிம்’ க³ச்ச²த| (aiōnios g166)
42 For when I was hungry, you gave me nothing to eat; when thirsty, you gave me nothing to drink;
யதோ க்ஷுதி⁴தாய மஹ்யமாஹாரம்’ நாத³த்த, பிபாஸிதாய மஹ்யம்’ பேயம்’ நாத³த்த,
43 when homeless, you gave me no welcome; ill-clad, you clothed me not; sick or in prison, you visited me not.'
விதே³ஸி²நம்’ மாம்’ ஸ்வஸ்தா²நம்’ நாநயத, வஸநஹீநம்’ மாம்’ வஸநம்’ ந பர்ய்யதா⁴பயத, பீடி³தம்’ காராஸ்த²ஞ்ச மாம்’ வீக்ஷிதும்’ நாக³ச்ச²த|
44 "Then will they also answer, "'Lord, when did we see Thee hungry or thirsty or homeless or ill-clad or sick or in prison, and not come to serve Thee?'
ததா³ தே ப்ரதிவதி³ஷ்யந்தி, ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴, கதா³ த்வாம்’ க்ஷுதி⁴தம்’ வா பிபாஸிதம்’ வா விதே³ஸி²நம்’ வா நக்³நம்’ வா பீடி³தம்’ வா காராஸ்த²ம்’ வீக்ஷ்ய த்வாம்’ நாஸேவாமஹி?
45 "But he will reply, "'In solemn truth I tell you that in so far as you withheld such services from one of the humblest of these, you withheld them from me.'
ததா³ ஸ தாந் வதி³ஷ்யதி, தத்²யமஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ப்³ரவீமி, யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேஷாம்’ கஞ்சந க்ஷோதி³ஷ்ட²ம்’ ப்ரதி யந்நாகாரி, தந்மாம்’ ப்ரத்யேவ நாகாரி|
