Mark 9
1 He went on to say, "In solemn truth I tell you that some of those who are standing here will certainly not taste death till they have seen the Kingdom of God already come in power."
| عیسی به شاگردان خود فرمود: «یقین بدانید که در اینجا کسانی ایستاده‌اند که تا آمدن قدرتمند ملکوت خدا را نبینند، نخواهند مرد.» |
2 Six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and brought them alone, apart from the rest, up a high mountain; and in their presence His appearance underwent a change.
| شش روز بعد، عیسی پطرس و یعقوب و یوحنا را برداشت و آنان را بر فراز کوهی بلند، به خلوت برد. در آنجا، ظاهر عیسی در مقابل چشمان ایشان دگرگون شد |
3 His garments also became dazzling with brilliant whiteness--such whiteness as no bleaching on earth could give.
| و لباسش درخشان و بسیار سفید شد، چنانکه هیچ‌کس بر روی زمین نمی‌تواند لباسی را آنقدر سفید بشوید. |
4 Moreover there appeared to them Elijah accompanied by Moses; and the two were conversing with Jesus,
| آنگاه ایلیا و موسی ظاهر شدند و با عیسی به گفتگو پرداختند. |
5 when Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, we are thankful to you that we are here. Let us put up three tents--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
| پطرس شگفت‌زده گفت: «استاد، چه خوب است ما اینجا هستیم! بگذار سه سایبان بسازیم، یکی برای تو، یکی برای موسی، و یکی دیگر هم برای ایلیا.» |
6 For he knew not what to say: they were filled with such awe.
| پطرس این حرف را زد تا چیزی گفته باشد، چون نمی‌دانست چه بگوید و همه از ترس می‌لرزیدند. |
7 Then there came a cloud spreading over them, and a voice issued from the cloud, "This is my Son, dearly loved: listen to Him."
| اما در همان حال، ابری بالای سرشان سایه افکند و ندایی از آن در رسید که «این است پسر عزیز من؛ به او گوش فرا دهید.» |
8 Instantly they looked round, and now they could no longer see any one, but themselves and Jesus.
| ایشان بلافاصله به اطراف نگاه کردند، ولی جز عیسی کسی را ندیدند. |
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, He very strictly forbad them to tell any one what they had seen "until after the Son of Man has risen from among the dead."
| هنگامی که از کوه پایین می‌آمدند، عیسی به ایشان دستور داد تا دربارۀ آنچه دیده‌اند به کسی چیزی نگویند تا زمانی که پسر انسان پس از مرگ زنده شود. |
10 So they kept the matter to themselves, although frequently asking one another what was meant by the rising from the dead.
| آنان نیز اطاعت نمودند، ولی اغلب دربارهٔ آن ماجرا با یکدیگر گفتگو می‌کردند و در این فکر بودند که منظور عیسی از «زنده شدن» چه بوده است. |
11 They also asked Him, "How is it that the Scribes say that Elijah must first come?"
| سپس از عیسی پرسیدند: «چرا علمای دین یهود اصرار دارند که قبل از ظهور مسیح، ایلیای نبی باید دوباره ظهور کند؟» |
12 "Elijah," He replied, "does indeed come first and reforms everything; but how is it that it is written of the Son of Man that He will endure much suffering and be held in contempt?
| عیسی پاسخ داد: «البته که اول ایلیا می‌آید تا همه چیز را آماده کند. ولی در مورد پسر انسان، در کتب مقدّس چه نوشته شده است؟ نوشته شده که او عذاب خواهد کشید، و با خفت و خواری با او رفتار خواهند کرد. |
13 Yet I tell you that not only has Elijah come, but they have also done to him whatever they chose, as the Scriptures say about him."
| اما من به شما می‌گویم، همان‌طور که نوشته شده، ایلیا آمده است، و با او بسیار بدرفتاری کردند.» |
14 As they came to rejoin the disciples, they saw an immense crowd surrounding them and a party of Scribes disputing with them.
| وقتی نزد بقیۀ شاگردان رسیدند، دیدند عدهٔ زیادی دور آنها جمع شده‌اند و چند تن از علمای دین نیز با ایشان بحث و گفتگو می‌کنند. |
15 Immediately the whole multitude on beholding Him were astonished and awe-struck, and yet they ran forward and greeted Him.
| جماعت به‌مجرد اینکه عیسی را دیدند، غرق در حیرت شدند، و شتابان دویدند تا او را تحیّت گویند. |
16 "What is the subject you are discussing?" He asked them.
| عیسی پرسید: «دربارهٔ چه بحث می‌کنید؟» |
17 "Rabbi," answered one of the crowd, "I have brought you my son. He has a dumb spirit in him;
| مردی از آن میان جواب داد: «استاد، پسرم را به اینجا آوردم تا او را شفا دهید. او نمی‌تواند حرف بزند چون اسیر یک روح پلید است. |
18 and wherever it comes upon him, it dashes him to the ground, and he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth, and he is pining away. I begged your disciples to expel it, but they had not the power."
| هرگاه روح پلید پسرم را می‌گیرد، او را بر زمین می‌کوبد و دهانش کف می‌کند و دندانهایش به هم می‌خورند و بدنش مثل چوب خشک می‌شود. از شاگردانت خواهش کردم روح پلید را از او بیرون کنند، ولی نتوانستند.» |
19 "O unbelieving generation!" replied Jesus; "how long must I be with you? how long must I have patience with you? Bring the boy to me."
| عیسی فرمود: «ای مردم بی‌ایمان! تا کی رفتار شما را تحمل کنم؟ او را نزد من بیاورید.» |
20 So they brought him to Jesus. And the spirit, when he saw Jesus, immediately threw the youth into convulsions, so that he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.
| پس او را آوردند؛ اما به محض اینکه چشمش به عیسی افتاد، روح پلید او را تکان سختی داد و بر زمین زد. پسر می‌غلتید و دهانش کف می‌کرد. |
21 Then Jesus asked the father, "How long has he been like this?" "From early childhood," he said;
| عیسی از پدر او پرسید: «از کی چنین شده است؟» جواب داد: «از کودکی. |
22 "and often it has thrown him into the fire or into pools of water to destroy him. But, if you possibly can, have pity on us and help us."
| روح پلید بارها او را در آب و آتش انداخته تا نابودش کند. به ما رحم کن و اگر می‌توانی او را شفا بده.» |
23 "'If I possibly can!'" replied Jesus; "why, everything is possible to him who believes."
| عیسی فرمود: «اگر می‌توانم؟! اگر ایمان داشته باشی همه چیز برایت امکان خواهد داشت.» |
24 Immediately the father cried out, "I do believe: strengthen my weak faith."
| پدر فوری با صدای بلند جواب داد: «بلی، ایمان دارم؛ کمکم کن تا ایمانم بیشتر شود.» |
25 Then Jesus, seeing that an increasing crowd was running towards Him, rebuked the foul spirit, and said to it, "Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter into him again."
| چون عیسی دید جمعیت زیادتر می‌شود، به روح پلید نهیب زده، گفت: «ای روح کر و لال، به تو می‌گویم از این پسر بیرون برو و دیگر داخل او نشو!» |
26 So with a loud cry he threw the boy into fit after fit, and came out. The boy looked as if he were dead, so that most of them said he was dead;
| روح پلید نعره‌ای زد و بار دیگر پسر را تکان داد و از او خارج شد. پسر غش کرد و مانند مرده بی‌حرکت بر زمین افتاد. مردم به یکدیگر گفتند: «مُرد!» |
27 but Jesus took his hand and raised him up, and he stood on his feet.
| اما عیسی دست او را گرفت و بلند کرد. پسر، صحیح و سالم بر پاهای خود ایستاد. |
28 After the return of Jesus to the house His disciples asked Him privately, "How is it that we could not expel the spirit?"
| بعداً وقتی عیسی در خانه تنها بود، شاگردانش در خلوت از او پرسیدند: «چرا ما نتوانستیم روح پلید را از وجود پسر بیرون کنیم؟» |
29 "An evil spirit of this kind," He answered, "can only be driven out by prayer."
| عیسی فرمود: «این نوع روح پلید جز با دعا بیرون نمی‌رود.» |
30 Departing thence they passed through Galilee, and He was unwilling that any one should know it;
| عیسی از آنجا به جلیل رفت و سعی کرد از نظر مردم دور بماند، |
31 for He was teaching His disciples, and telling them, "The Son of Man is to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will put Him to death; and after being put to death, in three days He will rise to life again."
| تا بتواند وقت بیشتری را با شاگردانش صرف کند و ایشان را تعلیم دهد. او به ایشان می‌گفت: «پسر انسان را به دست مردم تسلیم خواهند کرد و او را خواهند کشت. اما پس از سه روز زنده خواهد شد.» |
32 They, however, did not understand what He meant, and were afraid to question Him.
| ولی منظور او را نفهمیدند و می‌ترسیدند بپرسند. |
33 So they came to Capernaum; and when in the house He asked them, "What were you arguing about on the way?"
| سپس به کَفَرناحوم رسیدند. وقتی به خانه‌ای وارد شدند که بنا بود در آنجا بمانند، عیسی از ایشان پرسید: «در بین راه با هم چه می‌گفتید؟» |
34 But they remained silent; for on the way they had debated with one another who was the chief of them.
| ایشان خجالت می‌کشیدند جواب دهند، زیرا در بین راه بحث و گفتگو می‌کردند که کدام یک از ایشان از همه بزرگتر است. |
35 Then sitting down He called the Twelve, and said to them, "If any one wishes to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all."
| پس عیسی نشست و آنها را دور خود جمع کرد و گفت: «هر که می‌خواهد اول باشد، باید آخر همه و خدمتگزار همه باشد.» |
36 And taking a young child He made him stand in their midst, then threw His arms round him and said,
| سپس کودکی را به میان آورد و او را در آغوش گرفت و گفت: |
37 "Whoever for my sake receives one such young child as this, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not so much me as Him who sent me."
| «هر که به خاطر من چنین کودکی را بپذیرد، در واقع مرا پذیرفته است، و هر که مرا بپذیرد، نه فقط مرا، بلکه فرستندۀ مرا نیز پذیرفته است.» |
38 "Rabbi," said John to Him, "we saw a man making use of your name to expel demons, and we tried to hinder him, on the ground that he did not follow us."
| یوحنا، به او گفت: «استاد، مردی را دیدیم که به نام تو ارواح پلید را از مردم بیرون می‌کرد؛ ولی ما به او گفتیم که این کار را نکند چون از گروه ما نبود.» |
39 "You should not have tried to hinder him," replied Jesus, "for there is no one who will use my name to perform a miracle and be able the next minute to speak evil of me.
| عیسی فرمود: «مانع او نشوید، چون کسی که به اسم من معجزه‌ای می‌کند، مخالف من نیست. |
40 He who is not against us is for us;
| کسی که بر ضد ما نیست، با ما است. |
41 and whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, I solemnly tell you that he will certainly not lose his reward.
| اگر کسی به شما حتی یک لیوان آب بدهد، فقط به خاطر اینکه به مسیح تعلق دارید، بدون شک بی‌پاداش نخواهد ماند. |
42 "And whoever shall occasion the fall of one of these little ones who believe, he would be better off if, with a millstone round his neck, he were lying at the bottom of the sea.
| ولی اگر کسی باعث شود یکی از این کودکان که به من ایمان دارند، ایمانش را از دست بدهد، برای او بهتر است که یک سنگ بزرگ دور گردنش آویخته و به دریا انداخته شود. |
43 If your hand should cause you to sin, cut it off: it would be better for you to enter into Life maimed, than remain in possession of both your hands and go away into Gehenna, into the fire which cannot be put out. (Geenna g1067)
| «اگر دستت باعث لغزش تو می‌شود، آن را قطع کن، زیرا بهتر است با یک دست به حیات وارد شوی، تا اینکه با دو دست به دوزخ بروی، جایی که آتش آن هرگز خاموش نمی‌شود. (Geenna g1067) |
| جایی که کِرم آنها نمی‌میرد و آتش خاموشی نمی‌پذیرد. |
45 Or if your foot should cause you to sin, cut it off: it would be better for you to enter into Life crippled, than remain in possession of both your feet and be thrown into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
| و اگر پایت باعث لغزش تو می‌شود، آن را قطع کن و دور انداز، زیرا بهتر است با یک پا به حیات وارد شوی، تا اینکه با دو پا به دوزخ انداخته شوی. (Geenna g1067) |
| جایی که کِرم آنها نمی‌میرد و آتش خاموشی نمی‌پذیرد. |
47 Or if your eye should cause you to sin, tear it out. It would be better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God half-blind than remain in possession of two eyes and be thrown into Gehenna, (Geenna g1067)
| «اگر چشمت باعث لغزش تو می‌گردد، آن را از حدقه درآور، زیرا بهتر است با یک چشم وارد ملکوت خدا شوی تا اینکه با دو چشم به دوزخ انداخته شوی. (Geenna g1067) |
48 where their worm does not die and the fire does not go out.
| جایی که کرمهای بدن‌خوار هرگز نمی‌میرند و آتش، هیچگاه خاموش نمی‌شود. |
49 Every one, however, will be salted with fire.
| «زیرا هر کس با آتش نمکین و آزموده خواهد شد. |
50 Salt is a good thing, but if the salt should become tasteless, what will you use to give it saltness? Have salt within you and live at peace with one another."
| «نمک خوب است، اما اگر طعم و خاصیتش را از دست بدهد، چگونه می‌توان طعم و خاصیتش را به آن برگرداند؟ پس شما نیز در میان خود خاصیت نمک را داشته باشید و با هم در صلح و صفا زندگی کنید.» |
