Mark 6
1 Leaving that place He came into His own country, accompanied by His disciples.
௧இயேசு அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, அவர் வளர்ந்த ஊருக்கு வந்தார்; அவருடைய சீடர்களும் அவரோடு வந்தார்கள்.
2 On the Sabbath He proceeded to teach in the synagogue; and many, as they heard Him, were astonished. "Where did he acquire all this?" they asked. "What is this wisdom that has been given to him? And what are these marvellous miracles which his hands perform?
௨ஓய்வுநாளானபோது, ஜெப ஆலயத்தில் போதகம்பண்ணினார். அதைக் கேட்ட அனைவரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, இவைகள் இவனுக்கு எங்கிருந்து வந்தது? இவன் கைகளினால் இப்படிப்பட்ட பலத்த செய்கைகளைச் செய்ய இவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட ஞானம் எப்படிப்பட்டது?
3 Is not this the carpenter, Mary's son, the brother of James and Joses, Jude and Simon? And do not his sisters live here among us?" So they turned angrily away.
௩இவன் தச்சன் அல்லவா? மரியாளுடைய குமாரன் அல்லவா? யாக்கோபு, யோசே, யூதா, சீமோன் என்பவர்களுடைய சகோதரன் அல்லவா? இவன் சகோதரிகளும் இங்கே நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? என்று சொல்லி, அவரைக்குறித்து இடறல் அடைந்தார்கள்.
4 But Jesus said to them, "There is no Prophet without honour except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own home."
௪இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவன் தன் சொந்த ஊரிலும், தன் உறவினர்களிலும், தன் வீட்டிலும்தான் மதிக்கப்படமாட்டான். மற்ற எல்லா இடங்களிலும் மதிக்கப்படுவான் என்றார்.
5 And He could not do any miracle there, except that He laid His hands on a few who were out of health and cured them; and
௫அங்கே அவர் சில நோயாளிகள்மேல்மட்டும் கரங்களை வைத்து, அவர்களைக் குணமாக்கினார், வேறு அற்புதங்கள் எதுவும் செய்யமுடியாமல்.
6 He wondered at their unbelief. So He went round the adjacent villages, teaching.
௬அவர்களுக்கு விசுவாசம் இல்லாததினால் அதைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, மற்ற கிராமங்களுக்குச்சென்று, போதகம்பண்ணினார்.
7 Then summoning the Twelve to Him, He proceeded to send them out by twos, and gave them authority over the foul spirits.
௭இயேசு பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களையும் அழைத்து, அசுத்தஆவிகளைத் துரத்த அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்து,
8 He charged them to take nothing for the journey except a stick; no bread, no bag, and not a penny in their pockets,
௮வழிக்குப் பையையோ, அப்பத்தையோ, இடுப்புக் கச்சையில் பணத்தையோ, எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோகாமல், ஒரு தடியைமட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோகவும்;
9 but to go wearing sandals. "And do not," He said, "put on an extra under garment.
௯காலணிகளைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டுபோகவும், இரண்டு அங்கிகளை அணிந்துகொள்ளாமலிருக்கவும் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
10 Wherever you enter a house, make it your home till you leave that place.
௧0பின்பு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் எங்கேயாவது ஒரு வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றால், அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்வரை அங்கேயே தங்கியிருங்கள்.
11 But wherever they will not receive you or listen to you, when you leave shake off the very dust from under your feet to bear witness concerning them."
௧௧யாராவது உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமலும், உங்களுடைய வசனங்களைக் கேட்காமலும் இருந்தால், நீங்கள் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்படும்போது, அவர்களுக்கு சாட்சியாக உங்களுடைய கால்களின் கீழே படிந்த தூசியை உதறிப்போடுங்கள். நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு சம்பவிப்பதைவிட சோதோம் கொமோரா பட்டணத்திற்கு சம்பவிப்பது இலகுவாக இருக்கும் என்று உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களை இரண்டு இரண்டுபேராக அனுப்பினார்.
12 So they set out, and preached in order that men might repent.
௧௨அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய்: மனந்திரும்புங்கள் என்று பிரசங்கித்து;
13 Many demons they expelled, and many invalids they anointed with oil and cured.
௧௩அநேக பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தி, அநேக நோயாளிகளை எண்ணெய் பூசி சுகமாக்கினார்கள்.
14 King Herod heard of all this (for the name of Jesus had become widely known), and he kept saying, "John the Baptizer has come back to life, and that is why these miraculous Powers are working in him."
௧௪இயேசுவினுடைய பெயர் பிரசித்தமானதினால், ஏரோதுராஜா அவரைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்டு: மரித்துப்போன யோவான்ஸ்நானன் உயிரோடு எழுந்தான், எனவே அவனிடம் இப்படிப்பட்டப் பலத்த செய்கைகள் வெளிப்படுகிறது என்றான்.
15 Others asserted that He was Elijah. Others again said, "He is a Prophet, like one of the great Prophets."
௧௫சிலர்: அவர் எலியா என்றார்கள். வேறுசிலர்: அவர் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி அல்லது பூர்வகாலத்துத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனைப்போல இருக்கிறார் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.
16 But when Herod heard of Him, he said, "The John, whom I beheaded, has come back to life."
௧௬ஏரோது அதைக் கேட்டபொழுது: அவன், நான் தலையை வெட்டிக்கொன்ற யோவான்தான்; அவன் உயிரோடு எழுந்தான் என்றான்.
17 For Herod himself had sent and had had John arrested and had kept him in prison in chains, for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife; because he had married her.
௧௭ஏரோது தன் சகோதரனாகிய பிலிப்புவின் மனைவி ஏரோதியாளைத் தனக்கு மனைவியாக்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டபோது,
18 For John had repeatedly told Herod, "You have no right to be living with your brother's wife."
௧௮யோவான் ஏரோதைப் பார்த்து: நீர் உம்முடைய சகோதரன் மனைவியை வைத்துக்கொள்ளுவது நியாயம் இல்லை என்று சொன்னதினால், ஏரோது போர்வீரர்களை அனுப்பி, யோவானைப் பிடித்துக் கட்டிக் காவலில் வைத்திருந்தான்.
19 Therefore Herodias hated him and wished to take his life, but could not;
௧௯ஏரோதியாளும் அவனுக்குச் சதி நினைத்து, அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட மனதாயிருந்தாள்; ஆனாலும், அவளால் முடியாமல்போனது.
20 for Herod stood in awe of John, knowing him to be an upright and holy man, and he protected him. After listening to him he was in great perplexity, and yet he found a pleasure in listening.
௨0ஏனென்றால், யோவான் நீதியும் பரிசுத்தமும் உள்ளவன் என்று ஏரோது அறிந்து, அவனுக்குப் பயந்து, அவனைப் பாதுகாத்து, அவன் யோசனையின்படி அநேகக் காரியங்களைச் செய்து, விருப்பத்தோடு அவன் சொல்லைக் கேட்டுவந்தான்.
21 At length Herodias found her opportunity. Herod on his birthday gave a banquet to the nobles of his court and to the tribunes and the principal people in Galilee,
௨௧ஏரோது தன்னுடைய பிறந்தநாளிலே தன்னுடைய பிரபுக்களுக்கும், படைத்தளபதிகளுக்கும், கலிலேயா நாட்டின் பிரதான மனிதர்களுக்கும் ஒரு விருந்துபண்ணினபோது,
22 at which Herodias's own daughter came in and danced, and so charmed Herod and his guests that he said to her, "Ask me for anything you please, and I will give it to you."
௨௨ஏரோதியாளின் மகள் சபை நடுவே வந்து நடனம்பண்ணி, ஏரோதுவையும் அவனோடுகூட பந்தியில் இருந்தவர்களையும் சந்தோஷப்படுத்தினாள். அப்பொழுது, ராஜா சிறுபெண்ணை நோக்கி: உனக்கு வேண்டியதை என்னிடம் கேள், அதை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்று சொல்லி;
23 He even swore to her, "Whatever you ask me for I will give you, up to half my kingdom."
௨௩நீ என்னிடத்தில் எதைக்கேட்டாலும், அது என் ராஜ்யத்தில் பாதியானாலும், அதை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்று அவளுக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தான்.
24 She at once went out and said to her mother: "What shall I ask for?" "The head of John the Baptizer," she replied.
௨௪அப்பொழுது, அவள் வெளியேபோய், நான் என்ன கேட்கவேண்டும் என்று தன் தாயிடம் கேட்டாள். அதற்கு அவள்: யோவான்ஸ்நானனுடைய தலையைக் கேள் என்றாள்.
25 The girl immediately came in, in haste, to the King and made her request. "My desire is," she said, "that you will give me, here and now, on a dish, the head of John the Baptist."
௨௫உடனே அவள் ராஜாவிடம் சீக்கிரமாக வந்து: நீர் இப்பொழுதே ஒரு தட்டில் யோவான்ஸ்நானனுடைய தலையை வைத்து எனக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டாள்.
26 Then the King, though intensely sorry, yet for the sake of his oaths, and of his guests, would not break faith with her.
௨௬அப்பொழுது ராஜா அதிக துக்கமடைந்தான்; ஆனாலும், வாக்குக் கொடுத்ததினாலும், அவனோடுகூட பந்தியில் இருந்தவர்களுக்காகவும், அவள் கேட்டுக்கொண்டதை மறுக்க அவனுக்கு மனம் இல்லாமல்;
27 He at once sent a soldier of his guard with orders to bring John's head. So he went and beheaded him in the prison,
௨௭உடனே யோவான்ஸ்நானனுடைய தலையைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி போர்வீரனுக்குக் கட்டளைக் கொடுத்து அனுப்பினான்.
28 and brought his head on a dish and gave it to the young girl, who gave it to her mother.
௨௮அப்படியே அவன்போய், காவல்கூடத்திலே அவனுடைய தலையை வெட்டி, அவன் தலையை ஒரு தட்டிலே கொண்டுவந்து, அதை அந்தச் சிறு பெண்ணுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அந்தச் சிறுபெண் அதைத் தன் தாயிடம் கொடுத்தாள்.
29 When John's disciples heard of it, they came and took away his body and laid it in a tomb.
௨௯அவனுடைய சீடர்கள் அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டு வந்து, அவன் சரீரத்தை எடுத்து, ஒரு கல்லறையில் வைத்தார்கள்.
30 When the Apostles had re-assembled round Jesus, they reported to Him all they had done and all they had taught.
௩0அப்பொழுது அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் கூடிவந்து, தாங்கள் செய்தவைகள் போதித்தவைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அவருக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்.
31 Then He said to them, "Come away, all of you, to a quiet place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, so that they had no time even for meals.
௩௧அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: வனாந்திரமான ஒரு இடத்திற்குச் சென்று தனிமையில் கொஞ்சம் ஓய்வெடுக்கலாம் வாருங்கள் என்றார்; ஏனென்றால், அநேக மக்கள் அவரிடம் வருகிறதும் போகிறதுமாக இருந்ததினால் அவர்களுக்கு சாப்பிட நேரமில்லாமல் இருந்தது.
32 Accordingly they sailed away in the boat to a solitary place apart.
௩௨அப்படியே அவர்கள் தனிமையாக ஒரு படகில் ஏறி வனாந்திரமான ஒரு இடத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.
33 But the people saw them going, and many knew them; and coming by land they ran together there from all the neighbouring towns, and arrived before them.
௩௩அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போகிறதை மக்கள் பார்த்தார்கள். அவரை அறிந்த மக்கள் எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலுமிருந்து கால்நடையாகவே அந்த இடத்திற்கு ஓடி, அவர்களுக்கு முன்பே அங்கு சென்றுசேர்ந்து, அவரிடம் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.
34 So when Jesus landed, He saw a vast multitude; and His heart was moved with pity for them, because they were like sheep which have no shepherd, and He proceeded to teach them many things.
௩௪இயேசு கரையில் வந்து, அங்கே கூடிவந்த மக்களைப் பார்த்து, அவர்கள் மேய்ப்பன் இல்லாத ஆடுகளைப்போல இருந்ததினால், அவர்கள்மேல் மனதுருகி, அநேகக் காரியங்களை அவர்களுக்குப் போதிக்கத்தொடங்கினார்.
35 By this time it was late; so His disciples came to Him, and said, "This is a lonely place, and the hour is now late:
௩௫அதிகநேரம் ஆனபின்பு, அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து: இது வனாந்திரமான இடம், அதிகநேரமும் ஆனது;
36 send them away that they may go to the farms and villages near here and buy themselves something to eat."
௩௬சாப்பிடுகிறதற்கும் இவர்களிடம் ஒன்றும் இல்லை; எனவே இவர்கள் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற கிராமங்களுக்கும் ஊர்களுக்கும்போய், அப்பங்களை வாங்கிக்கொள்ள இவர்களை அனுப்பிவிடவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
37 "Give them food yourselves," He replied. "Are we," they asked, "to go and buy two hundred shillings' worth of bread and give them food?"
௩௭அவர் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: நீங்களே அவர்களுக்கு உணவுகொடுங்கள் என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்கள்போய், இருநூறு வெள்ளிக்காசுகளுக்கு அப்பங்களை வாங்கி இவர்களுக்குச் சாப்பிடக் கொடுக்கலாமா? என்றார்கள்.
38 "How many loaves have you?" He inquired; "go and see." So they found out, and said, "Five; and a couple of fish."
௩௮அதற்கு அவர்: உங்களிடம் எத்தனை அப்பங்கள் இருக்கிறது என்று போய்ப் பாருங்கள் என்றார். அவர்கள் பார்த்துவந்து: ஐந்து அப்பங்களும், இரண்டு மீன்களும் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்.
39 So He directed them to make all sit down in companies on the green grass.
௩௯அப்பொழுது எல்லோரையும் பசும்புல்லின்மேல் பந்தி உட்காரவைக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
40 And they sat down in rows of hundreds and of fifties.
௪0அப்படியே வரிசை வரிசையாக, நூறுநூறுபேராகவும் ஐம்பதுஐம்பதுபேராகவும் உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்.
41 Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and lifting His eyes to Heaven He blessed the food. Then He broke the loaves into portions which He went on handing to the disciples to distribute; giving pieces also of the two fish to them all.
௪௧அவர் அந்த ஐந்து அப்பங்களையும், அந்த இரண்டு மீன்களையும் எடுத்து, வானத்தை அண்ணாந்துபார்த்து, ஆசீர்வதித்து, அப்பங்களைப் பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்குப் பரிமாறத் தம்முடைய சீடர்களிடம் கொடுத்தார். அப்படியே இரண்டு மீன்களையும் எல்லோருக்கும் பங்கிட்டார்.
42 All ate and were fully satisfied.
௪௨எல்லோரும் சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தி அடைந்தார்கள்.
43 And they carried away broken portions enough to fill twelve baskets, besides pieces of the fish.
௪௩மேலும் அப்பங்களிலும் மீன்களிலும் மீதியான துண்டுகளைப் பன்னிரண்டு கூடை நிறைய எடுத்தார்கள்.
44 Those who ate the bread were 5,000 adult men.
௪௪அப்பங்கள் சாப்பிட்ட ஆண்கள் ஏறக்குறைய ஐயாயிரம்பேராக இருந்தார்கள்.
45 Immediately afterwards He made His disciples go on board the boat and cross over to Bethsaida, leaving Him behind to dismiss the crowd.
௪௫அவர் மக்களை அனுப்பிவிடும்போது, தம்முடைய சீடர்கள் படகில் ஏறி அக்கரையில் பெத்சாயிதாவிற்கு, தமக்கு முன்பே போகச்சொல்லி, அவர்களை துரிதப்படுத்தினார்.
46 He then bade the people farewell, and went away up the hill to pray.
௪௬அவர் மக்களை அனுப்பிவிட்டப்பின்பு, ஜெபம்பண்ணுவதற்காக ஒரு மலையின்மேல் ஏறினார்.
47 When evening was come, the boat was half way across the Lake, while he Himself was on shore alone.
௪௭மாலைநேரமானபோது படகு நடுக்கடலில் இருந்தது; அவரோ கரையிலே தனிமையாக இருந்தார்.
48 But when He saw them distressed with rowing (for the wind was against them), towards morning He came towards them walking on the Lake, as if intending to pass them.
௪௮அப்பொழுது எதிர்க்காற்று வீசிக்கொண்டிருந்ததால், அவர்கள் கஷ்டப்பட்டு துடுப்பு போடுகிறதை அவர் பார்த்து, அதிகாலையில் கடலின்மேல் நடந்து அவர்களிடம் வந்து, அவர்களைக் கடந்துபோகிறவர்போல காணப்பட்டார்.
49 They saw Him walking on the water, and thinking that it was a spirit they cried out;
௪௯அவர் கடலின்மேல் நடக்கிறதை அவர்கள் பார்த்து, அவரை பிசாசு என்று நினைத்து, சத்தமிட்டு அலறினார்கள்.
50 for they all saw Him and were terrified. He, however, immediately spoke to them. "There is no danger," He said; "it is I; be not alarmed."
௫0அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் அவரைப் பார்த்து கலக்கம் அடைந்தார்கள். உடனே அவர் அவர்களோடு பேசி: திடன்கொள்ளுங்கள், நான்தான், பயப்படாமல் இருங்கள் என்று சொல்லி.
51 Then He went up to them on board the boat, and the wind lulled; and they were beside themselves with silent amazement.
௫௧அவர்கள் இருந்த படகில் ஏறினார். அப்பொழுது காற்று அமைதியானது; எனவே அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே மிகவும் பிரமித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
52 For they had not learned the lesson taught by the loaves, but their minds were dull.
௫௨அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் கடினமுள்ளதாக இருந்ததினால் அப்பங்களைக்குறித்து அவர்கள் உணராமல் போனார்கள்.
53 Having crossed over they drew to land in Gennesaret and came to anchor.
௫௩அவர்கள் கடலைக்கடந்து கெனேசரேத்து என்னும் நாட்டிற்கு வந்து, கரை ஏறினார்கள்.
54 But no sooner had they gone ashore than the people immediately recognized Him.
௫௪அவர்கள் படகில் இருந்து இறங்கினவுடனே, மக்கள் அவரை அறிந்து,
55 Then they scoured the whole district, and began to bring Him the sick on their mats wherever they heard He was.
௫௫அந்தச் சுற்றுபுறமெல்லாம் ஓடிச்சென்று, நோயாளிகளைப் படுக்கைகளில் படுக்கவைத்து, அவர் வந்திருக்கிறார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்ட இடங்களிலெல்லாம் சுமந்துகொண்டுவந்தார்கள்;
56 And enter wherever He might--village or town or hamlet--they laid their sick in the open places, and entreated Him to let them touch were it but the tassel of His robe; and all, whoever touched Him, were restored to health.
௫௬இவைகள் இல்லாமல், அவர் சென்ற கிராமங்கள், பட்டணங்கள், நாடுகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் சந்தைவெளிகளிலே நோயாளிகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவருடைய ஆடையின் ஓரத்தையாவது அவர்கள் தொடுவதற்கு அனுமதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்; அவரைத் தொட்ட எல்லோரும் சுகம் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
