Mark 11
1 When they were getting near Jerusalem and had arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples on in front, with these instructions.
Comme ils approchaient de Jérusalem et qu'ils avaient atteint Bethphagé et Béthanie, vers la montagne des Oliviers, Jésus envoya deux de ses disciples,
2 "Go," He said, "to the village facing you, and immediately on entering it you will find an ass's foal tied up which no one has ever yet ridden: untie him and bring him here.
en leur disant: «Allez à ce village qui est en face de vous, et vous trouverez, en y entrant, un ânon attaché, sur lequel jamais homme ne s'est assis: détachez-le et amenez-le moi.
3 And if any one asks you, 'Why are you doing that?' say, 'The Master needs it, and will send it back here without delay.'"
Si l'on vous dit: «Pourquoi faites-vous cela?» dites: «Parce que le Seigneur en a besoin; et aussitôt on l'enverra ici.»
4 So they went and found a young ass tied up at the front door of a house. They were untying it,
Ils allèrent et trouvèrent un ânon attaché à une porte, dehors, au contour du chemin, et ils le détachèrent.
5 when some of the bystanders called out, "What are you doing, untying the foal?"
Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là, leur dirent: «Que faites-vous? vous détachez cet ânon?»
6 But on their giving the answer that Jesus had bidden them give, they let them take it.
Ils répondirent comme Jésus le leur avait dit, et on les laissa faire.
7 So they brought the foal to Jesus, and threw their outer garments over him; and Jesus mounted.
Ils amenèrent l'ânon à Jésus, jetèrent leurs manteaux sur l'animal, et Jésus monta dessus.
8 Then many spread their outer garments to carpet the road, and others leafy branches which they had cut down in the fields;
Une foule de gens étendirent leurs manteaux sur la route, d'autres des rameaux qu'ils avaient coupés dans les champs.
9 while those who led the way and those who followed kept shouting "God save Him!" Blessed be He who comes in the Lord's name.
Ceux qui allaient devant, et ceux qui suivaient, criaient: «Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur!»
10 Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our forefather David! God in the highest Heavens save Him!"
«Béni soit le règne qui vient, le règne de David notre père! Hosanna dans les lieux très-hauts!»
11 So He came into Jerusalem and into the Temple; and after looking round upon everything there, the hour being now late He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
Jésus entra à Jérusalem, dans le temple, et, après avoir tout considéré, comme il était déjà tard, il s'en alla à Béthanie avec les Douze.
12 The next day, after they had left Bethany, He was hungry.
Le lendemain, quand ils eurent quitté Béthanie, Jésus eut faim;
13 But in the distance He saw a fig-tree in full leaf, and went to see whether perhaps He could find some figs on it. When however He came to it, He found nothing but leaves (for it was not fig time);
et, apercevant de loin un figuier couvert de feuilles, il alla voir s'il y trouverait quelque fruit. Il y monta, et n'y trouva que des feuilles, car ce n'était pas la saison des figues.
14 and He said to the tree, "Let no one ever again eat fruit from thee!" And His disciples heard this. (aiōn g165)
Alors, prenant la parole, il dit au figuier: «Que jamais personne ne mange de ton fruit!» Et ses disciples l'entendirent. (aiōn g165)
15 They reached Jerusalem, and entering the Temple He began to drive out the buyers and sellers, and upset the money-changers' tables and the stools of the pigeon-dealers,
Ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem. Jésus, étant entré dans le temple, se mit à chasser ceux qui y vendaient et qui y achetaient; il renversa les tables des changeurs et les bancs des vendeurs de pigeons;
16 and would not allow any one to carry anything through the Temple.
et il ne souffrait pas qu'on transportât aucun objet en traversant le temple.
17 And He remonstrated with them. "Is it not written," He said, "'My House shall be called The House of Prayer for all the nations?' But you have made it what it now is--a robbers' cave."
Il ajoutait cet enseignement: «N'est-il pas écrit: «Ma maison sera appelle une maison de prière pour toutes les nations?» Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.»
18 This the High Priests and Scribes heard, and they began to devise means to destroy Him. For they were afraid of Him, because of the deep impression produced on all the people by His teaching.
Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes l'ayant entendu, cherchaient le moyen de le faire périr; car ils le craignaient, parce que tout le peuple était frappé de son enseignement.
19 When evening came on, Jesus and His disciples used to leave the city.
Quand le soir fut venu, Jésus sortit de la ville.
20 In the early morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig-tree withered to the roots;
Le lendemain matin, en passant, les disciples virent le figuier qui avait séché jusqu’à la racine.
21 and Peter, recollecting, said to Him, "Look, Rabbi, the fig-tree which you cursed is withered up."
Pierre, se rappelant ce qui s'était passé, dit à Jésus: «Rabbi, vois donc, le figuier que tu as maudit a séché.»
22 Jesus said to them, "Have faith in God.
Et Jésus leur répondit: «Ayez foi en Dieu.
23 In solemn truth I tell you that if any one shall say to this mountain, 'Remove, and hurl thyself into the sea,' and has no doubt about it in his heart, but stedfastly believes that what he says will happen, it shall be granted him.
En vérité, je vous le dis, si quelqu'un dit à cette montagne, «va te jeter à la mer, » et s'il ne doute point en son coeur, mais qu'il ait foi à l'accomplissement de sa parole, cela se fera.
24 That is why I tell you, as to whatever you pray and make request for, if you believe that you have received it it shall be yours.
C'est pourquoi je vous dis: Tout ce que vous demandez dans vos prières, ayez foi que vous l'avez reçu, et vous le verrez s'accomplir.
25 But whenever you stand praying, if you have a grievance against any one, forgive it, so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive you your offences."
Quand vous êtes debout, en prière, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu'un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est dans les cieux vous pardonne aussi vos offenses:
si vous ne pardonnez pas, votre Père qui est dans les deux, ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos offenses.»
27 They came again to Jerusalem; and as He was walking in the Temple, the High Priests, Scribes and Elders came to Him
Ils arrivèrent de nouveau à Jérusalem. Pendant que Jésus allait et venait dans le temple, les principaux sacrificateurs, les scribes et les anciens se rendirent vers lui,
28 and asked, "By what authority are you doing these things? and who gave you authority to do them?"
et lui dirent: «De quel droit fais-tu ces choses, et qui t'a donné le droit de les faire?»
29 "And I will put a question to you," replied Jesus; "answer me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Jésus leur répondit: «Je vous ferai aussi une question; répondez-moi, et je vous dirai de quel droit je fais ces choses.
30 John's Baptism--was it of Heavenly or of human origin? Answer me."
Le baptême de Jean venait-il du ciel ou des hommes? Répondez-moi.»
31 So they debated the matter with one another. "Suppose we say, 'Heavenly,'" they argued, "he will ask, 'Why then did you not believe him?'
Mais ils firent entre eux cette réflexion: Si nous disons «du ciel, » il dira: Pourquoi n'y avez-vous pas cru?
32 Or should we say, 'human?'" They were afraid of the people; for all agreed in holding John to have been really a Prophet.
Faut-il dire «des hommes?» — Ils craignaient le peuple, car tous croyaient réellement que Jean était un prophète.
33 So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." "Nor do I tell you," said Jesus, "by what authority I do these things."
Ils répondirent à Jésus: «Nous ne savons.» Et Jésus leur dit: «Moi non plus, je ne vous dirai pas de quel droit je fais ces choses.»
