Luke 20
1 On one of those days while He was teaching the people in the Temple and proclaiming the Good News, the High Priests came upon Him, and the Scribes,
Și s-a întâmplat într-una din acele zile, pe când învăța el poporul în templu și predica evanghelia, că preoții de seamă și scribii au venit peste el cu bătrânii,
2 together with the Elders, and they asked Him, "Tell us, By what authority are you doing these things? And who is it that gave you this authority?"
Și i-au vorbit, spunând: Spune-ne, prin ce autoritate faci tu acestea? Sau cine este cel ce ți-a dat această autoritate?
3 "I also will put a question to you, "He said;
Iar el a răspuns și le-a zis: Vă voi întreba și eu un lucru; și răspundeți-mi:
4 "was John's baptism of Heavenly or of human origin?"
Botezul lui Ioan era din cer, sau de la oameni?
5 So they debated the matter with one another. "If we say 'Heavenly,'" they argued, "he will say, 'Why did you not believe him?'
Dar discutau între ei, spunând: Dacă vom spune: Din cer, el va spune: Atunci de ce nu l-ați crezut?
6 And if we say, 'human,' the people will all stone us; for they are thoroughly convinced that John was a Prophet."
Dar dacă spunem: De la oameni, tot poporul ne va ucide cu pietre; fiindcă sunt convinși că Ioan era un profet.
7 And they answered that they did not know the origin of it.
Și au răspuns că nu puteau spune de unde [era].
8 "Nor will I tell you," said Jesus, "by what authority I do these things."
Și Isus le-a spus: Nici eu nu vă spun prin ce autoritate fac acestea.
9 Then He proceeded to speak a parable to the people. "There was a man," He said, "who planted a vineyard, let it out to vine-dressers, and went abroad for a considerable time.
Apoi a început să spună poporului această parabolă: Un anumit om a plantat o vie și a arendat-o unor viticultori și a plecat într-o țară îndepărtată pentru un timp îndelungat.
10 At vintage-time he sent a servant to the vine-dressers, for them to give him a share of the crop; but the vine-dressers beat him cruelly and sent him away empty-handed.
Și la timpul cuvenit a trimis un rob la viticultori, ca să îi dea din rodul viei; dar viticultorii l-au bătut și l-au trimis fără nimic.
11 Then he sent a second servant; and him too they beat and ill treated and sent away empty-handed.
Și din nou, a trimis alt rob; și l-au bătut și pe acela și l-au ocărât și l-au trimis fără nimic.
12 Then again he sent a third; and this one also they wounded and drove away.
Și din nou, a trimis un al treilea; și de asemenea l-au rănit și l-au aruncat afară.
13 Then the owner of the vineyard said, "'What am I to do? I will send my son--my dearly-loved son: they will probably respect him.'
Atunci a spus domnul viei: Ce să fac? Voi trimite pe fiul meu preaiubit; poate, văzându-l, îl vor respecta.
14 "But when the vine-dressers saw him, they discussed the matter with one another, and said, "'This is the heir: let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.'
Dar când viticultorii l-au văzut, discutau între ei, spunând: Acesta este moștenitorul; să îl ucidem, ca moștenirea să fie a noastră.
15 "So they turned him out of the vineyard and murdered him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
Și l-au aruncat afară din vie și l-au ucis. Ce le va face așadar domnul viei?
16 He will come and put these vine-dressers to death, and give the vineyard to others." "God forbid!" exclaimed the hearers.
Va veni și va nimici pe acești viticultori și va da via altora. Și când au auzit, au spus: Nicidecum.
17 He looked at them and said, "What then does that mean which is written, "'The Stone which the builders rejected has been made the cornerstone'?
Iar el i-a privit și a spus: Atunci ce este acest lucru, care este scris: Piatra pe care au respins-o zidarii, aceasta a devenit capul colțului temeliei.
18 Every one who falls on that stone will be severely hurt, but on whomsoever it falls, he will be utterly crushed."
Oricine va cădea peste acea piatră, va fi zdrobit; dar peste oricine va cădea aceasta, îl va spulbera.
19 At this the Scribes and the High Priests wanted to lay hands on Him, then and there; only they were afraid of the people. For they saw that in this parable He had referred to them.
Și preoții de seamă și scribii căutau să pună mâinile pe el în ora aceea; dar se temeau de popor; fiindcă au priceput că spusese această parabolă împotriva lor.
20 So, after impatiently watching their opportunity, they sent spies who were to act the part of good and honest men, that they might fasten on some expression of His, so as to hand Him over to the ruling power and the Governor's authority.
Și îl pândeau și au trimis spioni, care se prefăceau oameni drepți, ca să [îl] prindă în cuvintele lui, așa încât să îl dea puterii și autorității guvernatorului.
21 So they put a question to Him. "Rabbi," they said, "we know that you say and teach what is right and that you make no distinctions between one man and another, but teach God's way truly.
Și l-au întrebat, spunând: Învățătorule, știm că vorbești și înveți cu dreptate și nici nu cauți la fața oamenilor, ci înveți calea lui Dumnezeu în adevăr.
22 Is it allowable to pay a tax to Caesar, or not?"
Este legiuit pentru noi să dăm taxă Cezarului, sau nu?
23 But He saw through their knavery and replied,
Dar el a priceput viclenia lor și le-a spus: De ce mă ispitiți?
24 "Show me a shilling; whose likeness and inscription does it bear?" "Caesar's," they said.
Arătați-mi un dinar. Al cui chip și inscripție o are? Ei au răspuns și au zis: Al Cezarului.
25 "Pay therefore," He replied, "what is Caesar's to Caesar--and what is God's to God."
Iar el le-a spus: De aceea dați Cezarului cele ale Cezarului și lui Dumnezeu cele ale lui Dumnezeu.
26 There was nothing here that they could lay hold of before the people, and marvelling at His answer they said no more.
Și nu au putut să îl prindă în cuvintele lui înaintea poporului; și s-au minunat de răspunsul lui și au tăcut.
27 Next some of the Sadducees came forward (who deny that there is a Resurrection), and they asked Him,
Apoi au venit unii dintre saduchei, care neagă că există vreo înviere; și l-au întrebat,
28 "Rabbi, Moses made it a law for us that if a man's brother should die, leaving a wife but no children, the man shall marry the widow and raise up a family for his brother.
Spunând: Învățătorule, Moise ne-a scris: Dacă fratele cuiva moare, având soție și el moare fără copii, ca fratele lui să îi ia soția și să ridice sămânță fratelui său.
29 Now there were seven brothers. The first of them took a wife and died childless.
Așadar au fost șapte frați; și primul a luat o soție și a murit fără copii.
30 The second and the third also took her;
Și al doilea a luat-o de soție și el a murit fără copii.
31 and all seven, having done the same, left no children when they died.
Și al treilea, a luat-o; și în același fel și cei șapte; și nu au lăsat copii și au murit.
32 Finally the woman also died.
La urma tuturor a murit și femeia.
33 The woman, then--at the Resurrection--whose wife shall she be? for they all seven married her."
La înviere așadar, căruia dintre ei este ea soție? Fiindcă toți cei șapte au avut-o de soție.
Și Isus, răspunzând, le-a zis: Fiii și fiicele acestei lumi se însoară și se mărită; (aiōn g165)
35 But as for those who shall have been deemed worthy to find a place in that other age and in the Resurrection from among the dead, the men do not marry and the women are not given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
Dar cei socotiți demni să obțină acea lume și învierea dintre morți, nici nu se vor însura, nici nu se vor mărita; (aiōn g165)
36 For indeed they cannot die again; they are like angels, and are sons of God through being sons of the Resurrection.
Nici nu vor putea muri de atunci încolo; fiindcă sunt egali cu îngerii; și sunt copiii lui Dumnezeu, fiind copiii învierii.
37 But that the dead rise to life even Moses clearly implies in the passage about the Bush, where he calls the Lord 'The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.'
Dar că morții sunt înviați, chiar Moise a arătat la rug, când numește pe Domnul: Dumnezeul lui Avraam și Dumnezeul lui Isaac și Dumnezeul lui Iacob.
38 He is not a God of dead, but of living men, for to Him are all living."
Fiindcă el nu este un Dumnezeu al morților, ci al celor vii; fiindcă toți trăiesc pentru el.
39 Then some of the Scribes replied, "Rabbi, you have spoken well."
Atunci unii dintre scribi, răspunzând, au zis: Învățătorule, bine ai spus.
40 From that time, however, no one ventured to challenge Him with a single question.
Iar după aceea nu au mai cutezat să îl întrebe nimic.
41 But He asked them, "How is it they say that the Christ is a son of David?
Iar el le-a spus: Cum spun ei: Cristos este fiul lui David?
42 Why, David himself says in the Book of Psalms, "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand
Și însuși David spune în cartea Psalmilor: DOMNUL a spus Domnului meu: Șezi la dreapta mea,
43 Until I have made thy foes a footstool under they feet.'
Până fac pe dușmanii tăi sprijinul piciorului tău.
44 "David himself therefore calls Him Lord, and how can He be his son?"
David într-adevăr îl numește Domn; cum este el atunci fiul lui?
45 Then, in the hearing of all the people, He said to the disciples,
Atunci, în auzul întregului popor a spus discipolilor săi:
46 "Beware of the Scribes, who like to walk about in long robes, and love to be bowed to in places of public resort and to occupy the best seats in the synagogues or at a dinner party;
Păziți-vă de scribii care doresc să se plimbe în robe lungi și iubesc saluturile în piețe și scaunele de frunte în sinagogi și locurile de onoare la ospețe;
47 who swallow up the property of widows and mask their wickedness by making long prayers. They will be punished far more severely than others."
Care devorează casele văduvelor și de ochii lumii fac rugăciuni lungi; aceștia vor primi mai mare damnare.
