< John 1 >
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Idi punganay ket addan ti Sao, kadua ti Dios ti Sao ket ti Sao ket Dios.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
Daytoy, ti Sao, ket kadua ti Dios idi punganay.
3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing that exists came into being.
Naaramid amin a banbanag babaen kenkuana, awan ti naaramid a banag uray maysa no awan isuna.
4 In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of men.
Adda kenkuana ti biag, ken dayta a biag ti silaw iti amin a tattao.
5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.
Agranraniag ti silaw iti kasipngetan ken saan nga iniddep ti kasipngetan daytoy.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Adda ti maysa a lalaki a naibaon manipud iti Dios nga agnagan ti Juan.
7 He came as a witness, in order that he might give testimony concerning the Light--so that all might believe through him.
Immay isuna a kas saksi a mangpaneknek maipapan iti silaw tapno mabaelan iti amin a mamati babaen kenkuana.
8 He was not the Light, but he existed that he might give testimony concerning the Light.
Saan a ni Juan ti silaw no di ket immay isuna tapno mapaneknekanna ti maipapan iti silaw.
9 The true Light was that which illumines every man by its coming into the world.
Dayta ti pudno a silaw nga umay ditoy lubong ken manglawag iti tunggal maysa.
10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through Him, and the world did not recognize Him.
Adda isuna iti lubong, ken naaramid ti lubong babaen kenkuana ngem saan isuna a naammoan iti lubong.
11 He came to the things that were His own, and His own people gave Him no welcome.
Immay isuna kadagiti bukodna a banbanag ngem saan isuna nga inawat dagiti tattaona.
12 But all who have received Him, to them--that is, to those who trust in His name--He has given the privilege of becoming children of God;
Ngem kadagiti adu nga immawat kenkuana, ken namati iti naganna, inikkanna dagitoy ti kalintegan nga agbalin nga an-annak iti Dios.
13 who were begotten as such not by human descent, nor through an impulse of their own nature, nor through the will of a human father, but from God.
Naipasngayda saan a babaen iti dara, saan a babaen iti pagayatan ti lasag, saan a babaen ti pagayatan iti tao, no di ket babaen iti Dios.
14 And the Word came in the flesh, and lived for a time in our midst, so that we saw His glory--the glory as of the Father's only Son, sent from His presence. He was full of grace and truth.
Ita, nagbalin a lasag ti Sao ken nakipagnaed kadatayo. Nakitami ti dayagna, dayag a naidumduma kas kakaisuna a tao a naggapu iti Ama, napnoan isuna ti parabur ken kinapudno.
15 John gave testimony concerning Him and cried aloud, saying, "This is He of whom I said, 'He who is coming after me has been put before me,' for He was before me."
Pinaneknekan ni Juan ti maipapan kenkuana ket impukpukkawna, “Daytoy a tao ti imbagak kadakayo, 'Ti umay a sumarsaruno kaniak ket nangatngato ngem siak gapu ta adda isuna sakbay kaniak.”'
16 For He it is from whose fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
Gapu ta manipud iti kinabuslonna ket inawattayo ti maysa a sagut kalpasan ti maysa a sagut.
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Naited ti linteg babaen kenni Moises, ngem immay ti parabur ken kinapudno babaen kenni Jesu-Cristo.
18 No human eye has ever seen God: the only Son, who is in the Father's bosom--He has made Him known.
Awan ti tao a nakakita ti Dios uray kaanoman. Ti maysa ken kakaisuna a tao, ti Dios, nga adda iti barukong iti Ama, inyam-ammona isuna.
19 This also is John's testimony, when the Jews sent to him a deputation of Priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him who he was.
Ita, daytoy ti pammaneknek ni Juan idi nangibaon dagiti Judio kenkuana kadagiti papadi ken levita manipud Jerusalem tapno saludsodenda isuna, “Siasinoka?”
20 He avowed--he did not conceal the truth, but avowed, "I am not the Christ."
Siwayawaya nga imbagana ken saanna nga inlibak ket sinungbatanna ida, “Saan a siak ti Cristo.”
21 "What then?" they inquired; "are you Elijah?" "I am not," he said. "Are you the Prophet?" "No," he answered.
Ket sinaludsodda isuna, “Siasinoka ngarud? Sika kadi ni Elias?” Kinunana kadakuada, “Saan.” Kinunada kenkuana “Sika kadi ti profeta?” Simmungbat isuna, “Saan.”
22 So they pressed the question. "Who are you?" they said--"that we may take an answer to those who sent us. What account do you give of yourself?"
Ket kinunada kenkuana, “Siasinoka? Ania ti makunam maipapan iti bagim tapno adda ti maitedmi a sungbat kadagiti nangibaon kadakami?,”
23 "I am the voice," he replied, "of one crying aloud, 'Make straight the Lord's way in the Desert,' fulfilling the words of the Prophet Isaiah."
Kinuna ni Juan, “Siak ti timek ti maysa nga agpukpukkaw iti let-ang: 'Aramidenyo a nalinteg ti dalan ti Apo,' kas imbaga iti profeta Isaias.”
24 They were Pharisees who had been sent.
Ita, adda sadiay dagiti imbaon dagiti Fariseo. Nagsaludsodda kenni Juan ket kinunada kenkuana,
25 Again they questioned him. "Why then do you baptize," they said, "if you are neither the Christ nor Elijah nor the Prophet?"
“No saan a sika ti Cristo, ni Elias wenno ti profeta, ket apay a mangbaubautisarka?”
26 "I baptize in water only," John answered, "but in your midst stands One whom you do not know--
Simmungbat ni Juan ket kinunana, “Mangbautisarak iti danum, nupay kasta, adda ti maysa a nakatakder iti nagbabaetanyo a saanyo a mabigbig.
27 He who is to come after me, and whose sandal-strap I am not worthy to unfasten."
Isuna ti umay kalpasan kaniak, saanak a maikari a mangwarwar iti tali iti sandaliasna.”
28 This conversation took place at Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Napasamak dagitoy idiay Betania iti bangir iti Jordan a pagbaubautisaran ni Juan.
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and exclaimed, "Look, that is the Lamb of God who is to take away the sin of the world!
Iti simmaruno nga aldaw, nakita ni Juan nga um-umay ni Jesus kenkuana ket kinunana, “Kitaenyo, dayta iti Kordero ti Dios a mangik-ikkat iti basol iti lubong!
30 This is He about whom I said, 'After me is to come One who has been put before me, because He was before me.'
Daytoy ti maysa nga imbagak kadakayo, 'Ti umay a sumarsaruno kaniak ket nangatngato ngem siak gapu ta adda isuna sakbay kaniak.'
31 I did not yet know Him; but that He may be openly shown to Israel is the reason why I have come baptizing in water."
Saanko a nabigbig isuna ngem napasamak dagitoy tapno maipakaammo isuna iti Israel, isunga immayak a mangbaubautisar iti danum.”
32 John also gave testimony by stating: "I have seen the Spirit coming down like a dove out of Heaven; and it remained upon Him.
Pinaneknekan ni Juan, “Nakitak a bumabbaba ti Espiritu a kas kalapati manipud iti langit ken nagtalinaed daytoy kenkuana.
33 I did not yet know Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, "'The One on whom you see the Spirit coming down, and remaining, He it is who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.'
Saanko a nabigbig isuna ngem imbaga iti nangibaon kaniak a mangbautisar iti danum a, 'No siasino ti makitam a pagbabaan ken pagtalinaedan iti Espiritu, isuna ti mangbautisar iti Espiritu Santo.'
34 "This I have seen, and I have become a witness that He is the Son of God."
Nakitak ken pinaneknekak nga isu ti Anak ti Dios.”
35 Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples,
Iti simmaruno manen nga aldaw, kabayatan nga agtaktakder ni Juan ken ti dua nga adalanna,
36 when he saw Jesus passing by, and said, "Look! that is the Lamb of God!"
nakitada ni Jesus a magmagna ket kinuna ni Juan, “Kitaenyo, dayta ti Kordero iti Dios!”
37 The two disciples heard his exclamation, and they followed Jesus.
Idi nangngeg iti dua nga adalan ti imbaga ni Juan, sinurotda ni Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned round, and seeing them following He asked them, "What is your wish?" "Rabbi," they replied--'Rabbi' means 'Teacher' --"where are you staying?"
Timmaliaw ni Jesus ket nakitana a sumursurot ida kenkuana ket kinunana kadakuada, “Ania ti kayatyo?” Simmungbatda, “Rabbi ('Manursuro ti kaipapananna) sadino ti pagnanaedam?”
39 "Come and you shall see," He said. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they remained and spent that day with Him. It was then about ten o'clock in the morning.
Imbaga ni Jesus kadakuada, “Umaykayo ken kitaenyo.” Ket napanda ken nakitada ti pagnanaedan ni Jesus. Nagtalinaedda sadiay a kadua ni Jesus iti dayta nga aldaw gapu ta umadanin ti maikasangapulo nga oras.
40 Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John's exclamation and followed Jesus.
Maysa kadagiti dua a nakangngeg kenni Juan ken simmurot kenni Jesus ket agnagan ti Andres, kabsat a lalaki ni Simon Pedro.
41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah!" --that is to say, the Anointed One.
Nakitana nga immuna ni Simon a kabsatna ket kinunana kenkuana, “Nasarakanmin ti Mesias (naipatarus a kas, 'ti Cristo').
42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon, son of John: you shall be called Cephas" --that is to say, Peter (or 'Rock').
Intugotna isuna kenni Jesus, kinita ni Jesus isuna ket kinunana, “Sika ni Simon nga anak ni Juan, Cefas ti maiawag kenka” ('Pedro' ti kaipapananna).
43 The next day, having decided to leave Bethany and go into Galilee, Jesus found Philip, and invited him to follow Him.
Iti simmaruno nga aldaw, idi nangngeddeng ni Jesus a mapan iti Galilea, nasarakanna ni Felipe ken kinunana kenkuana, “Surotennak.”
44 (Now Philip came from Bethsaida, the same town as Andrew and Peter.)
Ita, ni Felipe ket taga Bethsaida nga siudad ni Pedro ken Andres.
45 Then Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, "We have found him about whom Moses in the Law wrote, as well as the Prophets--Jesus, the son of Joseph, a man of Nazareth."
Nasarakan ni Felipe ni Natanael ket kinunana kenkuana, “Nasarakanmin ti ibagbaga ni Moises kadagiti linteg ken dagiti insurat dagiti profeta, ni Jesus nga anak ni Jose a taga Nasaret.”
46 "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" replied Nathanael. "Come and see," said Philip.
Imbaga ni Natanael kenkuana, “Adda kadi ti naimbag a banag nga aggapo manipud iti Nazaret?” Kinuna ni Felipe kenkuana, “Umayka ket kitaem.”
47 Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, and said of him, "Look! here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceitfulness!"
Idi nakita ni Jesus nga um-umay ni Natanael kenkuana ket kastoy ti imbagana maipapan kenkuana, “Kitaenyo, adda ditoy ti pudno nga Israelita ket awan kenkuana ti aniaman a kinaulbod.”
48 "How do you know me?" Nathanael asked. "Before Philip called you," said Jesus, "when you were under the fig-tree I saw you."
Kinuna ni Natanael kenkuana, “Kasano nga am-ammonak?” Simmungbat ni Jesus ken kinunana kenkuana, “Nakitakan sakbay nga inayabannaka ni Felipe, idi addaka iti sirok iti kayo nga igos.”
49 "Rabbi," cried Nathanael, "you are the Son of God, you are Israel's King!"
Simmungbat ni Natanael, “Rabbi, sika ti Anak ti Dios ken ari ti Israel!”
50 "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig-tree,'" replied Jesus, "do you believe? You shall see greater things than that."
Simmungbat ni Jesus ket kinunana, “Gapu ta imbagak a, 'Nakitaka nga adda idiay sirok iti kayo nga igos, 'Mamatika kadi?” Makakitaka pay ti nabilbileg a banbanag ngem daytoy.”
51 "I tell you all in most solemn truth," He added, "that you shall see Heaven opened wide, and God's angels going up, and coming down to the Son of Man."
Kinuna ni Jesus, “Pudno, pudno, ibagak kenka, makitamto a nalukatan ti langit ket agpangato ken agpababa dagiti anghel ti Dios iti Anak ti Tao.”
