< John 5 >

1 After this there was a Festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Li yaa puoli, Jesu go den doni ki gedi Jelusalema Jufinba jaanma siiga jaanyenma yaa badu.
2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, called in Hebrew 'Bethesda.' It has five arcades.
Ki sua Jelusalema pia ku ñinbuugu ke ku kuu leni ipe buliñoabu Ebilunba maama nni bi yi ku ñinbuugu yeni Beteseda, ke ciadimu se ki baali likani.
3 In these there used to lie a great number of sick persons, and of people who were blind or lame or paralyzed.
Ayiama boncianla den dua ti ciadi yeni soangu nni, bi tianba den tie juama, bine diama, bine waba, ke bi guu mi ñima n langidi.
4
5 And there was one man there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.
Jayendo den ye likani ki yia hali piita n bina nii.
6 Jesus saw him lying there, and knowing that he had been a long time in that condition, He asked him, "Do you wish to have health and strength?"
Jesu den laa o, ke o dua likani, o den bani ke o waagi leni o yianu, o den buali o a bua ki paagi?
7 "Sir," replied the sufferer, "I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is moved; but while I am coming some one else steps down before me."
O yiamo den guani ki yedi o: o Diedo mii pia yua n baa todi nni, mi ñima ya langidi hali n baa kua toa yen kpa kua ki ha nni.
8 "Rise," said Jesus, "take up your mat and walk."
Jesu den yedi o: fi ki taa a kaagu ki ya cuoni.
9 Instantly the man was restored to perfect health, and he took up his mat and began to walk.
Lanyaapo o joa yeni den paagi ki fii ki taa o kaagu ki cuona.
10 That day was a Sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who had been cured, "It is the Sabbath: you must not carry your mat."
Ki sua li den tie mi fuodima daale, lanyaapo Jufinba den yedi yua n paagi yeni dinli tie mi fuodima daali laa pia sanu han tugi akaagu.
11 "He who cured me," he replied, "said to me, 'Take up your mat and walk.'"
O den guani ki yedi ba: Yua n paagi nni yeni wan nan yedi min taa n kaagu ki yaa cuoni.
12 "Who is it," they asked, "that said to you, 'Take up your mat and walk'?"
Bi den yedi o: Laa Joa tie ŋme yo, wani yua n yedi han taa a kaagu ki yaa cuoni yeni.
13 But the man who had been cured did not know who it was; for Jesus had passed out unnoticed, there being a crowd in the place.
Ama yua n den paagi yeni naa den bani Jesu n tie yua kelima Jesu den kua ku niligu nni ke waa go laa o.
14 Afterwards Jesus found him in the Temple and said to him, "You are now restored to health. Do not sin any more, or a worse thing may befall you."
Ama Jesu go den tuogi leni o, U Tienu diegu nni ki yedi o: Diidi a baa laa fia han da go tieni tuonbiadi ke yaala n bia ki cie line n da cuo ha.
15 The man went and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had restored him to health;
O joa yeni den gedi ki ban waani Jufinba ke Jesu n paagi o.
16 and on this account the Jews began to persecute Jesus--because He did these things on the Sabbath.
17 His reply to their accusation was, "My Father works unceasingly, and so do I."
Jesu den yedi ba: N Baa tuuni ki pundi hali moala n moko tuuni.
18 On this account then the Jews were all the more eager to put Him to death--because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also spoke of God as being in a special sense His Father, thus putting Himself on a level with God.
19 "In most solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that the Son can do nothing of Himself--He can only do what He sees the Father doing; for whatever He does, that the Son does in like manner.
Baa n tiendi yaala kuli Bijua moko tiendi lane.
20 For the Father loves the Son and reveals to Him all that He Himself is doing. And greater deeds than these will He reveal to Him, in order that you may wonder.
Kelima Baa bua Bijua ki waani o wan tiendi yaala kuli, o go baa waani o yaa tuona n yaba ki cie, li ba paki yi.
21 For just as the Father awakens the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom He wills.
Kelima nani Baa n fiindi bi tinkpiba ki go puuni li miali maama, yene ke Bijua moko puuni li miali wan bua yua kuli.
22 The Father indeed does not judge any one, but He has entrusted all judgement to the Son,
Baa kan jia o bakuli buudi, o teni li bujiali kuli o Bijua yaa nuu nne.
23 that all may honour the Son even as they honour the Father. The man who withholds honour from the Son withholds honour from the Father who sent Him.
Ke nilo kuli n yaa kpiagidi Bijua nani ban kpiagidi Baa maama yeni, yua n ki kpiagi Bijua kuli waa kpiagidi Baa yua n soani o moko.
24 "In most solemn truth I tell you that he who listens to my teaching and believes Him who sent me, has the Life of the Ages, and does not come under judgement, but has passed over out of death into Life. (aiōnios g166)
Yi moamoani yi moamoani kani n yedi yi yua n cengi n maama ki daani yua n soani pia yaa miali n kan gbeni, buudi cuonu ki ye o po, ama o ñani mi kuuma nni ki kua li miali nni. (aiōnios g166)
25 "In most solemn truth I tell you that a time is coming--nay, has already come--when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live.
Yi moamoani yi moamoani kani n yedi yi, u yogunu kpendi upundi baa moala ne ke yaaba n kpe baa gbadi U Tienu Bijua nialu, yaaba n baa gbadi u mo kuli baa yaa fo.
26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He has also given to the Son to have life in Himself.
Nani Baa n pia li miali ke li ye o niinni maama yeni, opuni o Bijua moko li miali yene lin yaa ye o niinni.
27 And He has conferred on Him authority to act as Judge, because He is the Son of Man.
O puni o, u paalu ke wan yaa ja ti buudi kelima o tie Ojoa Bjua yo.
28 Wonder not at this. For a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voice and will come forth--
Laa bonla n da paki yi kelima u yogunu kpendi ke yaaba n kpe baa gbadi onialu, yaaba n gbadi u mo kuli baa ña a kula nni.
29 they who have done what is right to the resurrection of Life, and they whose actions have been evil to the resurrection of judgement.
Yaaba n den tieni yaala n hani baa fii yaa miali n kan gbeni po, yaaba n den tieni yaala n bia baa fii li bujiali po.
30 "I can of my own self do nothing. As I am bidden, so I judge; and mine is a just judgement, because it is not my own will that guides me, but the will of Him who sent me.
N kan fidi ki tieni li bakuli n yuceli po, n ya ja ti buudi nani min gba U Tienu kani maama, n bujiali mo tiegi kelima mii lingi n yuceli yanbuama, kali yua n soani nni yaa yanbuama.
31 "If I give testimony concerning myself, my testimony cannot be accepted.
32 There is Another who gives testimony concerning me, and I know that the testimony is true which He offers concerning me.
Toa ye yua n tiendi n po siedi, n bani ke wan tiendi npo yaa siedi tie moamoani.
33 "You sent to John, and he both was and still is a witness to the truth.
Yi den soani u tondu Jan kani, o den tieni siedi yi moamoani po.
34 But the testimony on my behalf which I accept is not from man; though I say all this in order that you may be saved.
Mini wani nisaalo ka tiendi n po siedi, n yedi yeni ke yin faabi.
35 He was the lamp that burned and shone, and for a time you were willing to be gladdened by his light.
Jan den tie yaa fitilisanga n co ki yieni. Yi den tuo ki mangi yi pala o yenma nni u yogunu waamu.
36 "But the testimony which I have is weightier than that of John; for the work the Father has assigned to me for me to bring it to completion--the very work which I am doing--affords testimony concerning me that the Father has sent me.
N pia yaa siedi n cie Jan n den tieni n po yaa siedi, Kelima Baa n teni nni yaa tuona ke min soani yeni n tuuni laa tuona yo, han tiendi n po siedi ke n tie Baa n soani yua.
37 And the Father who sent me, He has given testimony concerning me. None of you have ever either heard His voice or seen what He is like.
Baa yua n soani nni yeni moko tiendi n po siedi, yii kpa gbadi o nialu, yii kpa laa o nunga mo.
38 Nor have you His word dwelling within you, for you refuse to believe Him whom He has sent.
O maama ki ye yi niinni kelima yii daani wan soani yua.
39 "You search the Scriptures, because you suppose that in them you will find the Life of the Ages; and it is those Scriptures that yield testimony concerning me; (aiōnios g166)
Yi lingi idiani nni bohanla ki tema ke yi baa ba lienni yaa miali n kan gbeni, ama ki sua idiani yeni tiendi n yaa siedi yo. (aiōnios g166)
40 and yet you are unwilling to come to me that you may have Life.
Yi mo yii bua ki cua n kani ki baa li miali.
41 "I do not accept glory from man,
Mii lingi bi nisaaliba ka n kpiagi nni.
42 but I know you well, and I know that in your hearts you do not really love God.
Ama n bani n ke yii pia U Tienu po buama yi pala nni.
43 I have come as my Father's representative, and you do not receive me. If some one else comes representing only himself, him you will receive.
N cua Baa yeli po ama yii ga n cangu ama toa ya cua o yuceli po yi baa ga o cangu.
44 How is it possible for you to believe, while you receive glory from one another and have no desire for the glory that comes from the only God?
Yii bua ki daani nni kelima yii lingi ya kpiagidi n ñani U Tienu kani, ama yi lingi ti kpiagidi yi yaba kane.
45 "Do not suppose that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, namely Moses, on whom your hope rests.
Yin da tama min wani baa jaligi yi Baa nintuali, yua baa jaligi yi tie Musa yo, yin bili yi suginma wani yua yaa niinni yeni.
46 For if you believe Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.
Li ya tie ke yi daani Musa maama li bi hani yin daani n yaa maama moko, kelima Musa den diani n yaapo yo.
47 But if you disbelieve his writings, how are you to believe my words?"
Ama yi yaa daani o diani, yi baa ga lede yo ki daani n mo yaa maama?
