< John 15 >

1 "I am the Vine--the True Vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser.
Izaho ro vahe to, i Raeko ro mpañalahala.
2 Every branch in me--if it bears no fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Fonga afaha’e añe ze singa amako tsy mamoa vaho hene tsengoe’e ze mamoa, hampiegoego o voa’eo.
3 Already you are cleansed--through the teaching which I have given you.
Fa malio nahareo ty amo tsara nitaroñekoo.
4 Continue in me, and let me continue in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself--that is, if it does not continue in the vine--so neither can you if you do not continue in me.
Mimoneña amako, le izaho ama’ areo. Toe tsy hamoa ty singa tsy mipitek’ ami’ty foto’e, àntsake nahareo naho tsy mimoneñe amako.
5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who continues in me and in whom I continue bears abundant fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Izaho ty vahe, singa’e nahareo. Ze mimoneñe amako naho izaho ama’e, ie ty hirotrarotra, fa tsy maha-pi-draha t’ie tsy amako.
6 If any one does not continue in me, he is like the unfruitful branch which is at once thrown away and then withers up. Such branches they gather up and throw into the fire and they are burned.
Ndra ia’ ia tsy mimoneñe amako ro hahifik’ añe hoe singa, hiheatse, atontoñe naho ariañe añ’afo ao hiforototo.
7 "If you continue in me and my sayings continue in you, ask what you will and it shall be done for you.
Ie mimoneñe amako, naho mitobe añ’arofo’ areo ao o volakoo le ihalalio ze satrie’ areo vaho hanoañe.
8 By this is God glorified--by your bearing abundant fruit and thus being true disciples of mine.
Zao ty fandrengeañe an-dRaeko, t’ie mahavokatse bey hamente te mpiamako.
9 As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you: continue in my love.
Manahake ty fikokoan-dRaeko ahy ty fikokoako anahareo. Aa le mimoneña amo fikokoakoo.
10 If you obey my commands, you will continue in my love, as I have obeyed my Father's commands and continue in His love.
Ie ambena’ areo o lilikoo le himoneñe am-pikokoako ao, manahake ty fiambenako o lilin-dRaekoo naho mimoneñe am-pikokoa’e ao.
11 "These things I have spoken to you in order that I may have joy in you, and that your joy may become perfect.
Nitaroñako irezay soa te ho ama’areo ty hafaleako vaho ho eneñe ty haeha’ areo.
12 This is my commandment to you, to love one another as I have loved you.
Zao o lilikoo: t’ie mifanao roakolahy hambañe amy nikokoakoy.
13 No one has greater love than this--a man laying down his life for his friends.
Tsy eo ty mikoko mandikoatse zao t’ie hahafoe ty fiai’e ho an-drañe’e.
14 You are my friends, if you do what I command you.
Rañeko nahareo naho manao ze andiliako.
15 No longer do I call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all that I have heard from the Father I have made known to you.
Tsy t’ie hanoeko mpitoroñe ka, amy te tsy fohi’ ty mpitoroñe ty anoe’ i talè’ey; nataoko rañetse amy te nampandrendrehako ze hene tsinanoko aman-dRaeko.
16 It is not you who chose me, but it is I who chose you and appointed you that you might go and be fruitful and that your fruit might remain; so that whatever petition you present to the Father in my name He may give you.
Tsy inahareo ty nijoboñe ahy, fa izaho ty nijoboñe anahareo naho tinendreko homb’eo hamokatse vaho hañambeñe o nivokare’ areoo; le ndra inoñ’ inoñe ty halalie’ areo aman-dRaeko ami’ty añarako ro hatolo’e.
17 "Thus I command you to love one another.
Zao ty andiliako anahareo: mifampikokoa.
18 If the world hates you, remember that it has first had me as the fixed object of its hatred.
Naho malaim-bintañe anahareo ty voatse toy, fohino t’ie nalaiñe ahy hey.
19 If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own property. But because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world--for that reason the world hates you.
Ie nimpiami’ ty voatse toy, ho niteà’ ty voatse toy o azeo. F’ie tsy mpiami’ty voatse toy, amy te jinoboko boak’ ami’ty voatse toy, aa le malaiñe anahareo ty voatse toy.
20 Bear in mind what I said to you, 'A servant is not superior to his master.' If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.
Tiahio o tsara nivolañakoo, te: Tsy bey te amy talè’ey ty mpitoroñe. Aa naho nanoe’ iereo samporerake iraho, àntsake t’ie ho samporeraheñe. Aa naho folokokoe’ iereo o volakoo, le ho tambozore’ iereo ka ty anahareo.
21 But they will inflict all this suffering upon you on account of your bearing my name--because they do not know Him who sent me.
Toe hanoe’ iereo ama’ areo i hene rezay ami’ty añarako, amy te nofi’ iereo i nañitrik’ Ahiy.
22 "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have had no sin; but as the case stands they are without excuse for their sin.
Naho tsy nipok’ eo iraho nitaroñe am’iereo, le tsy ho nanan-kakeo, fe tsy eo henaneo ty iveroha’e amo tahiñeo.
23 He who hates me hates my Father also.
Ze malaiñe ahy, malaiñe an-dRaeko.
24 If I had not done among them, as I have, such miracles as no one else ever did, they would have had no sin; but they have in fact seen and also hated both me and my Father.
Aa naho tsy nanoeko am’iereo ao o fitoloñañe mbe tsy nanoe’ ondaty, tsy ho nanan-tahiñe, fe henaneo songa nahaoniñe mbore nañarinjeñe ahy naho an-dRaeko,
25 But this has been so, in order that the saying may be fulfilled which stands written in their Law, 'They have hated me without any reason.'
soa te ho heneke i pinatetse amy Hà’ iereoy manao ty hoe: Tsy aman-tali’e ty nihejea’ iareo ahy.
26 "When the Advocate is come whom I will send to you from the Father's presence--the Spirit of Truth who comes forth from the Father's presence--He will be a witness concerning me.
Ie avy i Mpañolotsey, i hahitriko ama’ areo hirik’ aman-dRaey, i Arofon-kavantañañe miboak’ aman-dRaey; ie ty hitalily ahy.
27 And you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the first.
Hitalily ka nahareo amy te nimpiamako boak’ am-pifotora’e añe.
