Hebrews 1

1 God, who in ancient days spoke to our forefathers in many distinct messages and by various methods through the Prophets,

Deus falou antigamente muitas vezes, e de muitas maneiras, aos ancestrais pelos profetas.

2 has at the end of these days spoken to us through a Son, who is the pre-destined Lord of the universe, and through whom He made the Ages. (aiōn g165)

Mas nestes últimos falou a nós por meio do [seu] Filho, a quem constituiu por herdeiro de todas as coisas, e pelo qual também fez o universo. (aiōn g165)

3 He brightly reflects God's glory and is the exact representation of His being, and upholds the universe by His all-powerful word. After securing man's purification from sin He took His seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

[O Filho] é o resplendor da [sua] glória, a expressa imagem da sua pessoa, e sustenta todas as coisas pela palavra de poder. E, depois de fazer por si mesmo a purificação dos pecados, sentou-se à direita da Majestade nas alturas;

4 having become as far superior to the angels as the Name He possesses by inheritance is more excellent than theirs.

e se tornou muito superior aos anjos, assim como herdou um nome mais excelente que eles.

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "My Son art Thou: I have this day become Thy Father;" and again, "I will be a Father to Him, and He shall be My Son"?

Pois a qual dos anjos [Deus] jamais disse: “Tu és meu Filho, eu hoje te gerei”, E em outra vez: “Eu lhe serei por Pai, e ele me será por Filho”?

6 But speaking of the time when He once more brings His Firstborn into the world, He says, "And let all God's angels worship Him."

E outra vez, quando introduz o primogênito ao mundo, diz: E todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.

7 Moreover of the angels He says, "He changes His angels into winds, and His ministering servants into a flame of fire."

Quanto aos anjos, porém, ele diz: Ele faz de seus anjos espíritos; e de seus trabalhadores, labareda de fogo;

8 But of His Son, He says, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and for ever, and the sceptre of Thy Kingdom is a sceptre of absolute justice. (aiōn g165)

Mas ao Filho [diz]: Ó Deus, o teu trono é para todo o sempre. Cetro de equidade é o cetro do teu Reino. (aiōn g165)

9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Thy God, has anointed Thee with the oil of gladness beyond Thy companions."

Amaste a justiça, e odiaste a transgressão; por isso, Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria mais que os teus companheiros.

10 It is also of His Son that God says, "Thou, O Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.

E: Tu Senhor, no princípio fundaste a terra, e os céus são obras de tuas mãos.

11 The heavens will perish, but Thou remainest; and they will all grow old like a garment,

Eles perecerão, mas tu continuas. Todos eles como roupa se envelhecerão;

12 and, as though they were a mantle Thou wilt roll them up; yes, like a garment, and they will undergo change. But Thou art the same, and Thy years will never come to an end."

como uma manta tu os envolverás, e como roupa serão mudados; porém tu és o mesmo, e os teus anos não cessarão.

13 To which of the angels has He ever said, "Sit at My right hand till I make Thy foes a footstool for Thy feet"?

E a qual dos anjos ele jamais disse: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos como estrado de teus pés?

14 Are not all angels spirits that serve Him--whom He sends out to render service for the benefit of those who, before long, will inherit salvation?

Por acaso não são todos eles espíritos servidores, enviados para auxílio dos que herdarão a salvação?
