< Galatians 5 >
1 Christ having made us gloriously free--stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery.
Kristo nogonyowa mondo wabed joma ni thuolo. Omiyo chungʼuru motegno, kendo kik uyie tingʼ mapek kurwako jok mar wasumbini kendo.
2 Remember that it is I Paul who tell you that if you receive circumcision Christ will avail you nothing.
Winjuru gima awachonu maber! An Paulo asiemou ni ka uyie mondo oteru nyangu, to bedo ja-Kristo ok nokonyu.
3 I once more protest to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation to obey the whole Law of Moses.
To bende awachonu ni ngʼato angʼata moter nyangu nigi gowi mar chopo Chike Musa mamoko duto.
4 Christ has become nothing to any of you who are seeking acceptance with God through the Law: you have fallen away from grace.
In mitemo bet e winjruok gi Nyasaye kuom mako chik, ngʼeni isepogori gi Kristo; kendo isea kuom ngʼwono mar Nyasaye.
5 We have not, for through the Spirit we wait with longing hope for an acceptance with God which is to come through faith.
Wan to Roho ema miyo wabedo gi geno ni wabiro bedo e winjruok gi Nyasaye kuom yie.
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any importance; but only faith working through love.
Nikech kuom Kristo Yesu onge pogruok bed ni ngʼato oter nyangu kata ok otere. Gimoro achiel kende madwarore en yie matiyo kuom hera.
7 You were running the race nobly! Who has interfered and caused you to swerve from the truth?
Jo-Galatia, yande uringo ngʼwech maber, en ngʼa moseduodou motamou luwo adiera?
8 No such teaching ever proceeded from Him who is calling you.
Gima otimorenuno ok oa kuom Jal mane oluongou.
9 A little yeast corrupts the whole of the dough.
Ungʼeyo ngero mawacho niya, “Thowi matin ema miyo mogo modwal kuot.”
10 For my part I have strong confidence in you in the Lord that you will adopt my view of the matter. But the man--be he who he may--who is troubling you, will have to bear the full weight of the judgement to be pronounced on him.
An gi geno kuom Ruoth ni ok ubi yie rwako paro moro mopogore moa kuom ngʼat machielo. To ngʼatno mosewitou gi puonj mobamno nyaka Nyasaye bi kume, kata bed ni en ngʼama nade.
11 As for me, brethren, if I am still a preacher of circumcision, how is it that I am still suffering persecution? In that case the Cross has ceased to be a stumbling-block!
Jowetena, kaponi pod ayalo wach tero nyangu, to ere gima omiyo pod isanda kama? Ka kamano to kare puonj ma apuonjo mar msalaba dine ok okelo chwanyruok.
12 Would to God that those who are unsettling your faith would even mutilate themselves.
Joma thagougo, to daher mondo gidhi nyime ka gitimo mano nyaka gihinyre kendgi giwegi!
13 You however, brethren, were called to freedom. Only do not turn your freedom into an excuse for giving way to your lower natures; but become bondservants to one another in a spirit of love.
Jowetena, Nyasaye noluongou mondo ubed thuolo. To kik uti gi thuolo ma un-go mondo utim timbe maricho ma ringreu gombo timo. Kar timo kamano, to ngʼato ka ngʼato onego kony nyawadgi kuom hera.
14 For the entire Law has been obeyed when you have kept the single precept, which says, "You are to love your fellow man equally with yourself."
Nikech Chik duto ichopo kare mana gi chik achiel mawacho niya, “Her wadu kaka iherori iwuon.”
15 But if you are perpetually snarling and snapping at one another, beware lest you are destroyed by one another.
To ka ukaru kendo ukidhoru kendu mana ka ondiegi, to tangʼuru, nono to ubiro tiekoru.
16 This then is what I mean. Let your lives be guided by the Spirit, and then you will certainly not indulge the cravings of your lower natures.
Omiyo akwayou ni mondo uwuothi kuom Roho, eka ok ubi timo gik ma ringreu dwaro.
17 For the cravings of the lower nature are opposed to those of the Spirit, and the cravings of the Spirit are opposed to those of the lower nature; because these are antagonistic to each other, so that you cannot do everything to which you are inclined.
Nikech ringruok osiko ka dwaro timo mana gik ma Roho ok dwar, to Roho bende dwaro chopo gik ma ringruok ok dwar. Gik moko ariyogi osiko ok winjre kendo mano ema miyo ok utim gik mabeyo mugombo timo.
18 But if the Spirit is leading you, you are not subject to Law.
To ka Roho ema otelonu, to koro ok un e bwo Chik.
19 Now you know full well the doings of our lower natures. Fornication, impurity, indecency, idol-worship, sorcery;
Timbe mag ringruok nenore ratiro, gin kaka: chode, timbe mochido, anjawo,
20 enmity, strife, jealousy, outbursts of passion, intrigues, dissensions, factions, envyings;
lamo nyiseche manono, jwok, sigu, dhawo, nyiego, mirima, ichlit, miero; pogruok e kanyakla,
21 hard drinking, riotous feasting, and the like. And as to these I forewarn you, as I have already forewarned you, that those who are guilty of such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God.
kod gombo; mer, dwanyruok, gi timbe mamoko mobam machal gi mago. To asiemou kaka nasiemou kinde motelo, ni joma timo timbe ma kamagi ok noyud gweth mar pinyruoth Nyasaye.
22 The Spirit, on the other hand, brings a harvest of love, joy, peace; patience towards others, kindness, benevolence;
To gik ma Roho nyago gin hera, mor, kwe, horuok, ngʼwono, ber, bedo ja-adiera,
23 good faith, meekness, self-restraint.
dimbruok kod ritruok. Onge chik moro amora makwedo gik ma kamago.
24 Against such things as these there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their lower nature with its passions and appetites.
Jo-Kristo Yesu madier duto oseguro e msalaba kit dhano machon gi gombone duto kod dwarone.
25 If we are living by the Spirit's power, let our conduct also be governed by the Spirit's power.
Nikech wadak kuom Roho, wasikuru mana ka wawuotho kuom Roho.
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, challenging one another, envying one another.
Kik wawuondre kendwa wawegi, ka wasiko mana ka wakwinyore kendo wagombo gige jowadwa.
