< Colossians 3 >

1 If however you have risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, enthroned at God's right hand.
Níwọ́n ìgbà tí a ti jí yín dìde pẹ̀lú Kristi ẹ máa ṣàfẹ́rí àwọn nǹkan tí ń bẹ lókè, níbi tí Kristi gbé wà tí ó jókòó ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún Ọlọ́run.
2 Give your minds to the things that are above, not to the things that are on the earth.
Ẹ máa ronú àwọn ohun tí ń bẹ lókè kì í ṣe àwọn nǹkan tí ń bẹ ní ayé.
3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Nítorí ẹ̀yin ti kú, a sì fi ìyè yín pamọ́ pẹ̀lú Kristi nínú Ọlọ́run.
4 When Christ appears--He is our true Life--then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Nígbà tí Kristi, ẹni tí í ṣe ìyè yín yóò farahàn, nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú yóò farahàn pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ nínú ògo.
5 Therefore put to death your earthward inclinations--fornication, impurity, sensual passion, unholy desire, and all greed, for that is a form of idolatry.
Ẹ máa pa ẹ̀yà ara yín tí ń bẹ ní ayé run: àgbèrè, panṣágà, ìwà àìmọ́, ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ àti ìwọra, nítorí pé ìwọ̀nyí jásí ìbọ̀rìṣà.
6 It is on account of these very sins that God's anger is coming,
Lórí àwọn wọ̀nyí ni ìbínú Ọlọ́run ń bọ̀ wá.
7 and you also were once addicted to them, while you were living under their power.
Ẹ máa ń ṣe àwọn nǹkan wọ̀nyí tẹ́lẹ̀ nígbà tí ìgbé ayé yín sì jẹ́ apá kan ayé yìí.
8 But now you must rid yourselves of every kind of sin--angry and passionate outbreaks, ill-will, evil speaking, foul-mouthed abuse--so that these may never soil your lips.
Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, ẹ gbọdọ̀ fi àwọn wọ̀nyí sílẹ̀: ìbínú, ìrunú, àrankàn, fífi ọ̀rọ̀-kẹ́lẹ́-ba-tẹni-jẹ́ àti ọ̀rọ̀ èérí kúrò ní ètè yín.
9 Do not speak falsehoods to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its doings,
Ẹ má ṣe purọ́ fún ara yín, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí ẹ ti bọ́ ògbólógbòó ara yín pẹ̀lú ìṣe rẹ̀ sílẹ̀,
10 and have clothed yourselves with the new self which is being remoulded into full knowledge so as to become like Him who created it.
tí ẹ sì ti gbé ìgbé ayé tuntun wọ̀, èyí tí a sọ di tuntun nínú ìmọ̀ ní ìbámu pẹ̀lú àwòrán ẹni tí ó dá a.
11 In that new creation there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free man, but Christ is everything and is in all of us.
Níbi tí kò gbé sí Giriki tàbí Júù, ìkọlà tàbí aláìkọlà, aláìgbédè, ara Skitia, ẹrú tàbí òmìnira, ṣùgbọ́n Kristi ni ohun gbogbo nínú ohun gbogbo.
12 Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own people holy and dearly loved, with tender-heartedness, kindness, lowliness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Nítorí náà, bí àyànfẹ́ Ọlọ́run, ẹni mímọ́ àti olùfẹ́, ẹ gbé ọkàn ìyọ́nú wọ̀, ìṣoore, ìrẹ̀lẹ̀, inú tútù àti sùúrù.
13 bearing with one another and readily forgiving each other, if any one has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, you also must forgive.
Ẹ máa fi ara dà á fún ara yín, ẹ sì máa dáríjì ara yín bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá ní ẹ̀sùn sí ẹnìkan: bí Kristi ti dáríjì yín, gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ẹ̀yin kí ó máa ṣe pẹ̀lú.
14 And over all these put on love, which is the perfect bond of union;
Àti borí gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ẹ gbé ìfẹ́ wọ̀, tí í ṣe àmùrè ìwà pípé.
15 and let the peace which Christ gives settle all questionings in your hearts, to which peace indeed you were called as belonging to His one Body; and be thankful.
Ẹ sì jẹ́ kí àlàáfíà Ọlọ́run kí ó máa ṣe àkóso ọkàn yín, sínú èyí tí a pè yín pẹ̀lú nínú ara kan; kí ẹ sì máa dúpẹ́.
16 Let the teaching concerning Christ remain as a rich treasure in your hearts. In all wisdom teach and admonish one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and sing with grace in your hearts to God.
Ẹ jẹ́ kí ọ̀rọ̀ Kristi máa gbé inú yín ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ nínú ọgbọ́n gbogbo; kí ẹ máa kọ́ ọ, kí ẹ sì máa gba ara yín níyànjú nínú Saamu, àti orin ìyìn, àti orin ẹ̀mí, ẹ máa kọrin sí Ọlọ́run ní ọkàn ọpẹ́.
17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, and let it be through Him that you give thanks to God the Father.
Ohunkóhun tí ẹ̀yin bá sì ń ṣe ní ọ̀rọ̀ tàbí ní ìṣe, ẹ máa ṣe gbogbo wọn ní orúkọ Jesu Olúwa, ẹ máa fi ọpẹ́ fún Ọlọ́run Baba nípasẹ̀ rẹ̀.
18 Married women, be submissive to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Ẹ̀yin aya, ẹ máa tẹríba fún àwọn ọkọ yín, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti yẹ nínú Olúwa.
19 Married men, be affectionate to your wives, and do not treat them harshly.
Ẹ̀yin ọkọ, ẹ máa fẹ́ràn àwọn aya yín, ẹ má sì ṣe korò sí wọn.
20 Children be obedient to your parents in everything; for that is right for Christians.
Ẹ̀yin ọmọ ẹ máa gbọ́ ti àwọn òbí yín ní ohun gbogbo, nítorí èyí dára gidigidi nínú Olúwa.
21 Fathers, do not fret and harass your children, or you may make them sullen and morose.
Ẹ̀yin baba, ẹ má ṣe mú àwọn ọmọ yín bínú, kí wọn má bà á rẹ̀wẹ̀sì.
22 Slaves, be obedient in everything to your earthly masters; not in acts of eye service, as aiming only to please men, but with simplicity of purpose, because you fear the Lord.
Ẹ̀yin ẹrú, ẹ gbọ́ ti àwọn olówó yín nípa ti ara ní ohun gbogbo; kì í ṣe ní àrọ́júṣe, bí àwọn aláṣehàn ènìyàn; ṣùgbọ́n ní òtítọ́ inú, ní ìbẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run.
23 Whatever you are doing, let your hearts be in your work, as a thing done for the Lord and not for men.
Ohunkóhun tí ẹ̀yin bá ń ṣe, ẹ máa fi tọkàntọkàn ṣe é fún Olúwa, kí í ṣe fún ènìyàn;
24 For you know that it is from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. Christ is the Master whose bondservants you are.
kí ẹ mọ̀ pé lọ́wọ́ Olúwa ni ẹ̀yin ó gba èrè, nítorí ẹ̀yin ń sìn Olúwa Kristi.
25 The man who perpetrates a wrong will find the wrong repaid to him; and with God there are no merely earthly distinctions.
Ṣùgbọ́n ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá ṣe àìṣòdodo, yóò gbà á padà nítorí àìṣòdodo náà tí ó ti ṣe: kò sì ṣí ojúsàájú.
