Acts 3
1 One day Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the hour of prayer--the ninth hour--and, just then,
੧ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਤੀਜੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੈਕਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
2 some men were carrying there one who had been lame from birth, whom they were wont to place every day close to the Beautiful Gate (as it was called) of the Temple, for him to beg from the people as they went in.
੨ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕ ਜਮਾਂਦਰੂ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗੇ।
3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the Temple, he asked them for alms.
੩ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗੀ।
4 Peter fixing his eyes on him, as John did also, said, "Look at us."
੪ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ
5 So he looked and waited, expecting to receive something from them.
੫ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
6 "I have no silver or gold," Peter said, "but what I have, I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene-- walk!"
੬ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੋਨਾ ਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਫਿਰ!
7 Then taking his hand Peter lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.
੭ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ। ਓਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿੱਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਨ ਆ ਗਈ।
8 Leaping up, he stood upright and began to walk, and went into the Temple with them, walking, leaping, and praising God.
੮ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਤੁਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਛਾਲਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ।
9 All the people saw him walking and praising God;
੯ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
10 and recognizing him as the man who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple asking for alms, they were filled with awe and amazement at what had happened to him.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗਣ ਲਈ ਬੈਠਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਤੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਹੋਏ।
11 While he still clung to Peter and John, the people, awe-struck, ran up crowding round them in what was known as Solomon's Portico.
੧੧ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸ ਦਲਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੌੜੇ ਆਏ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ।
12 Peter, seeing this, spoke to the people. "Israelites," he said, "why do you wonder at this man? Or why gaze at us, as though by any power or piety of our own we had enabled him to walk?
੧੨ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਓ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has conferred this honour on His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let Him go.
੧੩ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫੜਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
14 Yes, you disowned the holy and righteous One, and asked as a favour the release of a murderer.
੧੪ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਖੂਨੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
15 The Prince of Life you put to death; but God has raised Him from the dead, and we are witnesses as to that.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
16 It is His name-- faith in that name being the condition--which has strengthened this man whom you behold and know; and the faith which He has given has made this man sound and strong again, as you can all see.
੧੬ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਸੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
17 "And now, brethren, I know that it was in ignorance that you did it, as was the case with your rulers also.
੧੭ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
18 But in this way God has fulfilled the declarations He made through all the Prophets, that His Christ would suffer.
੧੮ਪਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਉੱਠਾਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
19 Repent, therefore, and reform your lives, so that the record of your sins may be cancelled, and that there may come seasons of revival from the Lord,
੧੯ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜੋ, ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੋਂ ਸੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਣ।
20 and that He may send the Christ appointed beforehand for you--even Jesus.
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇਵੇ।
21 Heaven must receive Him until those times of which God has spoken from the earliest ages through the lips of His holy Prophets--the times of the reconstitution of all things. (aiōn g165)
੨੧ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਧਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। (aiōn g165)
22 Moses declared, "'The Lord your God will raise up a Prophet for you from among your brethren as He has raised me. In all that He says to you, you must listen to Him.
੨੨ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਣਿਓ।
23 And every one, without exception, who refuses to listen to that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the People.'
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
24 Yes, and all the Prophets, from Samuel onwards--all who have spoken--have also announced the coming of this present time.
੨੪ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿੰਨਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
25 "You are the heirs of the Prophets, and of the Covenant which God made with your forefathers when He said to Abraham, 'And through your posterity all the families of the world shall be blessed.'
੨੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਪ ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ, ਤੇਰੀ ਅੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਬਰਕਤ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।
26 It is to you first that God, after raising His Servant from the grave, has sent Him to bless you, by causing every one of you to turn from your wickedness."
੨੬ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇ।
