Acts 3
1 One day Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the hour of prayer--the ninth hour--and, just then,
Pierre et Jean montaient ensemble au temple à l'heure de la prière, qui était la neuvième.
2 some men were carrying there one who had been lame from birth, whom they were wont to place every day close to the Beautiful Gate (as it was called) of the Temple, for him to beg from the people as they went in.
Et il y avait un homme impotent dès sa naissance, qu'on portait, et qu'on mettait tous les jours à la porte du temple, appelée la Belle, pour demander l'aumône à ceux qui entraient dans le temple.
3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the Temple, he asked them for alms.
Cet homme voyant Pierre et Jean qui allaient entrer dans le temple, leur demanda l'aumône.
4 Peter fixing his eyes on him, as John did also, said, "Look at us."
Mais Pierre, ayant les yeux arrêtés sur lui, avec Jean, lui dit: Regarde-nous.
5 So he looked and waited, expecting to receive something from them.
Et il les regardait attentivement, s'attendant à recevoir quelque chose d'eux.
6 "I have no silver or gold," Peter said, "but what I have, I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene-- walk!"
Alors Pierre lui dit: Je n'ai ni argent, ni or; mais ce que j'ai, je te le donne; au nom de Jésus de Nazareth, lève-toi et marche.
7 Then taking his hand Peter lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.
Et l'ayant pris par la main droite, il le leva; et à l'instant la plante de ses pieds et ses chevilles devinrent fermes;
8 Leaping up, he stood upright and began to walk, and went into the Temple with them, walking, leaping, and praising God.
Et sautant, il se tint debout, et marcha, et il entra avec eux dans le temple, marchant, sautant et louant Dieu.
9 All the people saw him walking and praising God;
Et tout le peuple le vit qui marchait et qui louait Dieu.
10 and recognizing him as the man who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple asking for alms, they were filled with awe and amazement at what had happened to him.
Et ils reconnurent que c'était le même qui se tenait à la belle porte du temple pour demander l'aumône; et ils furent remplis d'étonnement et d'admiration de ce qui lui était arrivé.
11 While he still clung to Peter and John, the people, awe-struck, ran up crowding round them in what was known as Solomon's Portico.
Et comme l'impotent qui avait été guéri, ne quittait pas Pierre et Jean, tout le peuple étonné accourut à eux au portique dit de Salomon.
12 Peter, seeing this, spoke to the people. "Israelites," he said, "why do you wonder at this man? Or why gaze at us, as though by any power or piety of our own we had enabled him to walk?
Mais Pierre, voyant cela, dit au peuple: Hommes Israélites, pourquoi vous étonnez-vous de ceci? ou pourquoi avez-vous les yeux arrêtés sur nous, comme si c'était par notre propre puissance, ou par notre piété que nous eussions fait marcher cet homme?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has conferred this honour on His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let Him go.
Le Dieu d'Abraham, d'lsaac et de Jacob, le Dieu de nos pères a glorifié son Fils Jésus, que vous avez livré et renié devant Pilate, quoique celui-ci eût jugé qu'il devait être relâché.
14 Yes, you disowned the holy and righteous One, and asked as a favour the release of a murderer.
Mais vous avez renié le Saint et le Juste, et vous avez demandé qu'on vous accordât un meurtrier;
15 The Prince of Life you put to death; but God has raised Him from the dead, and we are witnesses as to that.
Et vous avez fait mourir le Prince de la vie, que Dieu a ressuscité des morts: nous en sommes témoins.
16 It is His name-- faith in that name being the condition--which has strengthened this man whom you behold and know; and the faith which He has given has made this man sound and strong again, as you can all see.
C'est par la foi en son nom, que son nom a raffermi cet homme que vous voyez et connaissez; et c'est la foi en Lui, qui a procuré à cet homme cette parfaite guérison en présence de vous tous.
17 "And now, brethren, I know that it was in ignorance that you did it, as was the case with your rulers also.
Et maintenant, frères, je sais que vous avez agi par ignorance, aussi bien que vos chefs.
18 But in this way God has fulfilled the declarations He made through all the Prophets, that His Christ would suffer.
Mais c'est ainsi que Dieu a accompli ce qu'il avait prédit par la bouche de tous ses prophètes, que le Christ devait souffrir.
19 Repent, therefore, and reform your lives, so that the record of your sins may be cancelled, and that there may come seasons of revival from the Lord,
Repentez-vous donc et vous convertissez, afin que vos péchés soient effacés,
20 and that He may send the Christ appointed beforehand for you--even Jesus.
Afin que des temps de rafraîchissements viennent de la part du Seigneur, et qu'Il vous envoie celui qui vous a été annoncé auparavant, le Christ Jésus,
21 Heaven must receive Him until those times of which God has spoken from the earliest ages through the lips of His holy Prophets--the times of the reconstitution of all things. (aiōn g165)
Que le ciel doit recevoir jusqu'au temps du rétablissement de toutes choses, dont Dieu a parlé par la bouche de tous ses saints prophètes, depuis longtemps. (aiōn g165)
22 Moses declared, "'The Lord your God will raise up a Prophet for you from among your brethren as He has raised me. In all that He says to you, you must listen to Him.
Car Moïse a dit à nos pères: Le Seigneur votre Dieu vous suscitera, d'entre vos frères, un prophète comme moi; écoutez-le dans tout ce qu'il vous dira.
23 And every one, without exception, who refuses to listen to that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the People.'
Et quiconque n'écoutera pas ce prophète, sera exterminé du milieu du peuple.
24 Yes, and all the Prophets, from Samuel onwards--all who have spoken--have also announced the coming of this present time.
Tous les prophètes qui ont parlé depuis Samuel, et ceux qui ont suivi, ont aussi prédit ces jours.
25 "You are the heirs of the Prophets, and of the Covenant which God made with your forefathers when He said to Abraham, 'And through your posterity all the families of the world shall be blessed.'
Vous êtes les enfants des prophètes, et de l'alliance que Dieu a traitée avec nos pères, en disant à Abraham: Toutes les familles de la terre seront bénies en ta postérité.
26 It is to you first that God, after raising His Servant from the grave, has sent Him to bless you, by causing every one of you to turn from your wickedness."
C'est pour vous premièrement, que Dieu ayant suscité son Fils Jésus, l'a envoyé pour vous bénir, en retirant chacun de vous de ses iniquités.
