Acts 2
1 At length, on the day of the Harvest Festival, they had all met in one place;
പെന്തെക്കൊസ്തനാൾ വന്നപ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തു ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.
2 when suddenly there came from the sky a sound as of a strong rushing blast of wind. This filled the whole house where they were sitting;
പെട്ടെന്നു കൊടിയ കാറ്റടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകാശത്തനിന്നു ഒരു മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടായി, അവർ ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന വീടു മുഴുവനും നിറെച്ചു.
3 and they saw tongues of what looked like fire distributing themselves over the assembly, and on the head of each person a tongue alighted.
അഗ്നിജ്വാലപോലെ പിളർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നാവുകൾ അവർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ മേൽ പതിഞ്ഞു.
4 They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in foreign languages according as the Spirit gave them words to utter.
എല്ലാവരും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി ആത്മാവു അവർക്കു ഉച്ചരിപ്പാൻ നല്കിയതുപോലെ അന്യഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
5 Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every part of the world.
അന്നു ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ള സകല ജാതികളിൽ നിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരായ ഭക്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
6 So when this noise was heard, they came crowding together, and were amazed because everyone heard his own language spoken.
ഈ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ പുരുഷാരം വന്നു കൂടി, ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ഭാഷയിൽ അവർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു അമ്പരന്നു പോയി.
7 They were beside themselves with wonder, and exclaimed, "Are not all these speakers Galilaeans?
എല്ലാവരും ഭ്രമിച്ചു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു: ഈ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാം ഗലീലക്കാർ അല്ലയോ?
8 How then does each of us hear his own native language spoken by them?
പിന്നെ നാം ഓരോരുത്തൻ ജനിച്ച നമ്മുടെ സ്വന്ത ഭാഷയിൽ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചു കേൾക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
9 Some of us are Parthians, Medes, Elamites. Some are inhabitants of Mesopotamia, of Judaea or Cappadocia, of Pontus or the Asian Province, of Phrygia or Pamphylia,
പർത്ഥരും മേദ്യരും ഏലാമ്യരും മെസപ്പൊത്താമ്യയിലും യെഹൂദ്യയിലും കപ്പദോക്യയിലും
10 of Egypt or of the parts of Africa towards Cyrene. Others are visitors from Rome--being either Jews or converts from heathenism--and others are Cretans or Arabians.
പൊന്തൊസിലും ആസ്യയിലും പ്രുഗ്യയിലും പംഫുല്യയിലും മിസ്രയീമിലും കുറേനെക്കു ചേർന്ന ലിബ്യാപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും പാർക്കുന്നവരും റോമയിൽ നിന്നു വന്നു പാർക്കുന്നവരും യെഹൂദന്മാരും യെഹൂദമതാനുസാരികളും ക്രേത്യരും അറബിക്കാരുമായ നാം
11 Yet we all alike hear these Galilaeans speaking in our own language about the wonderful things which God has done."
ഈ നമ്മുടെ ഭാഷകളിൽ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വൻകാര്യങ്ങളെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു കേൾക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
12 They were all astounded and bewildered, and asked one another, "What can this mean?"
എല്ലാവരും ഭ്രമിച്ചു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു; ഇതു എന്തായിരിക്കും എന്നു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
13 But others, scornfully jeering, said, "They are brim-full of sweet wine."
ഇവർ പുതു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലർ പരിഹസിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 Peter however, together with the Eleven, stood up and addressed them in a loud voice. "Men of Judaea, and all you inhabitants of Jerusalem," he said, "be in no uncertainty about this matter but pay attention to what I say.
അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് പതിനൊന്നുപേരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ഉറക്കെ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഇതു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.
15 For this is not intoxication, as you suppose, it being only the third hour of the day.
നിങ്ങൾ ഊഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഇവർ ലഹരി പിടിച്ചവരല്ല; പകൽ മൂന്നാംമണിനേരമേ ആയിട്ടുള്ളുവല്ലോ.
16 But that which was predicted through the Prophet Joel has happened:
ഇതു യോവേൽ പ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതത്രേ; അതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, God says, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall have dreams;
“അന്ത്യകാലത്തു ഞാൻ സകല ജഡത്തിന്മേലും എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ പകരും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും പ്രവചിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ യൗവ്വനക്കാർ ദർശനങ്ങൾ ദർശിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വൃദ്ധന്മാർ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ കാണും.
18 and even upon My bondservants, both men and women, at that time, I will pour out My Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെമേലും ദാസിമാരുടെമേലും കൂടെ ഞാൻ ആ നാളുകളിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ പകരും; അവരും പ്രവചിക്കും.
19 I will display marvels in the sky above, and signs on the earth below, blood and fire, and pillars of smoke.
ഞാൻ മീതെ ആകാശത്തിൽ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിൽ അടയാളങ്ങളും കാണിക്കും; രക്തവും തീയും പുകയാവിയും തന്നേ.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, to usher in the day of the Lord-- that great and illustrious day;
കർത്താവിന്റെ വലുതും പ്രസിദ്ധവുമായ നാൾ വരുംമുമ്പേ സൂര്യൻ ഇരുളായും ചന്ദ്രൻ രക്തമായും മാറിപ്പോകും.
21 and every one who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'
എന്നാൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ ഏവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”
22 "Listen, Israelites, to what I say. Jesus, the Nazarene, a man accredited to you from God by miracles and marvels and signs which God did among you through Him, as you yourselves know, Him--
യിസ്രായേൽ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഈ വചനം കേട്ടു കൊൾവിൻ. നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ അറിയുംപോലെ ദൈവം അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ ചെയ്യിച്ച ശക്തികളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടു
23 delivered up through God's settled purpose and foreknowledge--you by the hands of Gentiles have nailed to a cross and have put to death.
ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്കു കാണിച്ചു തന്ന പുരുഷനായി നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ ദൈവം തന്റെ സ്ഥിര നിർണ്ണയത്താലും മുന്നറിവിനാലും ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു, നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ അധർമ്മികളുടെ കയ്യാൽ തറെപ്പിച്ചു കൊന്നു;
24 But God has raised Him to life, having terminated the throes of death, for in fact it was not possible for Him to be held fast by death.
ദൈവമോ മരണപാശങ്ങളെ അഴിച്ചിട്ടു അവനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു. മരണം അവനെ പിടിച്ചു വെക്കുന്നതു അസാദ്ധ്യമായിരുന്നു.
25 For David says in reference to Him, "'I constantly fixed my eyes upon the Lord, because He is at my right hand in order that I may continue unshaken.
“ഞാൻ കർത്താവിനെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എന്റെ വലഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ കുലുങ്ങിപോകയില്ല.
26 For this reason my heart is glad and my tongue exults. My body also shall rest in hope.
അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാവു ആനന്ദിച്ചു, എന്റെ ജഡവും പ്രത്യാശയോടെ വസിക്കും.
27 For Thou wilt not leave me in the Unseen World forsaken, nor give up Thy holy One to undergo decay. (Hadēs g86)
നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of Life: Thou wilt fill me with gladness in Thy presence.'
നീ ജീവമാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ എന്നോടു അറിയിച്ചു; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എന്നെ സന്തോഷ പൂർണ്ണനാക്കും” എന്നു ദാവീദ് അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
29 "As to the patriarch David, I need hardly remind you, brethren, that he died and was buried, and that we still have his tomb among us.
സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഗോത്രപിതാവായ ദാവീദിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൻ മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു ധൈര്യമായി പറയാം; അവന്റെ കല്ലറ ഇന്നുവരെ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
30 Being a Prophet, however, and knowing that God had solemnly sworn to him to seat a descendant of his upon his throne,
എന്നാൽ അവൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ആകയാൽ ദൈവം അവന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഒരുത്തനെ അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തും എന്നു തന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു:
31 with prophetic foresight he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, to the effect that He was not left forsaken in the Unseen World, nor did His body undergo decay. (Hadēs g86)
അവനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞില്ല: അവന്റെ ജഡം ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടതുമില്ല എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി കണ്ടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു. ഈ യേശുവിനെ ദൈവം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus, God has raised to life-- a fact to which all of us testify.
അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
33 "Being therefore lifted high by the mighty hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out this which you see and hear.
അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വല ഭാഗത്തേക്കു ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു എന്ന വാഗ്ദത്തം പിതാവിനോടു വാങ്ങി, നിങ്ങൾ ഈ കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് പകർന്നുതന്നു.
34 For David did not ascend into Heaven, but he says himself, "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand
ദാവീദ് സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തില്ലല്ലോ. എന്നാൽ അവൻ: “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളം
35 until I make thy foes a footstool under thy feet.'
നീ എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്ക എന്നു കർത്താവു എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
36 "Therefore let the whole House of Israel know beyond all doubt that God has made Him both LORD and CHRIST--this Jesus whom you crucified."
ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രൂശിച്ച ഈ യേശുവിനെ തന്നേ ദൈവം കർത്താവും ക്രിസ്തുവുമാക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും നിശ്ചയമായി അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.
37 Stung to the heart by these words, they said to Peter and the rest of the Apostles, "Brethren, what are we to do?"
ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവർ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പത്രൊസിനോടും ശേഷം അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടും: സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
38 "Repent," replied Peter, "and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, with a view to the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
പത്രൊസ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളുടെ മോചനത്തിന്നായി ഓരോരുത്തൻ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു എന്ന ദാനം ലഭിക്കും.
39 For to you belongs the promise, and to your children, and to all who are far off, whoever the Lord our God may call."
വാഗ്ദത്തം നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾക്കും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവു വിളിച്ചു വരുത്തുന്ന ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരായ ഏവർക്കും ഉള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40 And with many more appeals he solemnly warned and entreated them, saying, "Escape from this crooked generation."
മറ്റു പല വാക്കുകളാലും അവൻ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു; ഈ വക്രതയുള്ള തലമുറയിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41 Those, therefore, who joyfully welcomed his Message were baptized; and on that one day about three thousand persons were added to them;
അവന്റെ വാക്കു കൈക്കൊണ്ടവർ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു; അന്നു മുവായിരത്തോളം പേർ അവരോടു ചേർന്നു.
42 and they were constant in listening to the teaching of the Apostles and in their attendance at the Communion, that is, the Breaking of the Bread, and at prayer.
അവർ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ ഉപദേശം കേട്ടും കൂട്ടായ്മ ആചരിച്ചും അപ്പം നുറക്കിയും പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചും പോന്നു.
43 Fear came upon every one, and many marvels and signs were done by the Apostles.
എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയമായി; അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരാൽ ഏറിയ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും നടന്നു.
44 And all the believers kept together, and had everything in common.
വിശ്വസിച്ചവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്നു സകലവും പൊതുവക എന്നു എണ്ണുകയും
45 They sold their lands and other property, and distributed the proceeds among all, according to every one's necessities.
ജന്മഭൂമികളും വസ്തുക്കളും വിറ്റു അവനവന്നു ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ എല്ലാവർക്കും പങ്കിടുകയും,
46 And, day by day, attending constantly in the Temple with one accord, and breaking bread in private houses, they took their meals with great happiness and single-heartedness,
ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കൂടിവരികയും വീട്ടിൽ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലാസവും ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയും പൂണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയും
47 praising God and being regarded with favour by all the people. Also, day by day, the Lord added to their number those whom He was saving.
ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കയും സകല ജനത്തിന്റെയും കൃപ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. കർത്താവു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെ ദിനംപ്രതി സഭയോടു ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
