2 Timothy 1
1 Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus, by the will of God, for proclaiming the promise of the Life which is in Christ Jesus:
Si Pablo, apostol ni Cristo Jesus tungod sa kabubut-on sa Dios sumala sa saad sa kinabuhi nga anaa kang Cristo Jesus,
2 To Timothy my dearly-loved child. May grace, mercy and peace be granted to you from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nganha kang Timoteo, nga akong hinigugmang anak:
3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience--as my forefathers did--that night and day I unceasingly remember you in my prayers,
Nagapasalamat ako sa Dios nga akong ginasimba uban sa maputling kaisipan, maingon sa gibuhat sa akong mga ginikanan, sa diha nga sa makanunayon magahandum ako kanimo sa akong mga pag-ampo.
4 being always mindful of your tears, and longing to see you that I may be filled with joy.
Mahinumdum gani ako sa imong mga luha, mangandoy gayud ako magabii ug maadlaw sa pagpakigkita kanimo, aron unta ako mapuno sa kalipay.
5 For I recall the sincere faith which is in your heart--a faith which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and then in your mother Eunice, and, I am fully convinced, now dwells in you also.
Mahinumduman ko ang imong tinuod nga pagtoo, ang pagtoo nga sa sinugdan diha sa imong apohang babaye nga si Loida ug sa imong inahan nga si Eunice ug nga karon, ginasaligan ko, anaa usab kanimo.
6 For this reason let me remind you to rekindle God's gift which is yours through the laying on of my hands.
Tungod niini, ako magapahinumdum kanimo nga buhion mo ang gasa nga naanaa kanimo gikan sa Dios pinaagi sa pagpandong kanimo sa akong mga kamot;
7 For the Spirit which God has given us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of sound judgement.
kay kita wala sa Dios hatagig espiritu sa katalaw kondili sa espiritu sa gahum ug sa gugma ug sa pagpugong sa kaugaligon.
8 Do not be ashamed then to bear witness for our Lord and for me His prisoner; but rather share suffering with me in the service of the Good News, strengthened by the power of God.
Busa, ayaw ikaulaw ang pagpanghimatuod alang sa atong Ginoo, o alang kanako nga iyang binilanggo; hinonoa pakig-ambit sa mga pag-antus uban kanako alang sa Maayong Balita pinaagi sa gahum sa Dios,
9 For He saved us and called us with a holy call, not in accordance with our desserts, but in accordance with His own purpose and the free grace which He bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before the commencement of the Ages, (aiōnios g166)
nga nagluwas kanato ug nagtawag kanato sa pagtawag ngadto sa kabalaan, dili tungod sa atong mga binuhatan kondili tungod sa iyang kaugalingong katuyoan ug sa grasya nga iyang gihatag kanato diha kang Cristo Jesus sa wala pa ang mga kapanahonan nga walay kinutoban, (aiōnios g166)
10 but which has now been plainly revealed through the Appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus. He has put an end to death and has brought Life and Immortality to light through the Good News,
ug nga karon iyang gikapadayag kini pinaagi sa pagpakita sa atong Manluluwas nga si Cristo Jesus, ni kinsa gilaglag ang kamatayon ug pinaagi sa Maayong Balita ang kinabuhi ug ang pagkawalay kamatayon gidala niya ngadto sa kahayag.
11 of which I have been appointed a preacher, Apostle and teacher, to the Gentiles.
Alang sa maong Maayong Balita ako gipahimutang nga magwawali ug apostol ug magtutudlo,
12 That indeed is the reason why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know in whom my trust reposes, and I am confident that He has it in His power to keep what I have entrusted to Him safe until that day.
ug mao kana ang hinungdan ngano nga nagaantus ako karon sa ingon. Apan wala ko kini igakaulaw, kay ako nakaila kaniya nga akong ginatoohan ug ako siguro gayud nga hangtud niadtong adlawa siya arang makabantay sa butang nga gikapiyal kanako.
13 Provide yourself with an outline of the sound teaching which you have heard from my lips, and be true to the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
Sundon mo ang hularanan sa mga maayong pulong nga imong nadungog gikan kanako, sa pagtoo ug sa gugma nga anaa kang Cristo Jesus.
14 That precious treasure which is in your charge, guard through the Holy Spirit who has His home in our hearts.
Pinaagi sa Espiritu Santo nga nagapuyo sa sulod nato, bantayi ang kamatuoran nga gipiyal nganha kanimo.
15 Of this you are aware, that all the Christians in Roman Asia have deserted me: and among them Phygelus and Hermogenes.
Ikaw nasayud nga silang tanan nga anaa sa Asia mitalikud kanako, ug ang uban gani kanila mao sila si Figelo ug si Hermogenes.
16 May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus; for many a time he cheered me and he was not ashamed of my chain.
Hinaut kaloy-an unta sa Ginoo ang panimalay ni Onesiforo, kay sa makadaghan ako iyang gihupay; wala niya ikaulaw ang akong mga talikala,
17 Nay, when he was here in Rome, he took great pains to inquire where I was living, and at last he found me.
hinonoa sa iyang paghiabut diri sa Roma gikugihan gayud niya ang pagpangita kanako ug hingkaplagan niya ako
18 (The Lord grant that he may obtain mercy at His hands on that day!) And you yourself well know all the services which he rendered me in Ephesus.
hinaut ang Ginoo magatugot unta kaniya sa pagkakaplag sa kalooy gikan sa Ginoo niadtong adlawa ug ikaw nasayud pag-ayo sa tanang pag-alagad nga iyang gihimo diha sa Efeso.
