2 Thessalonians 3
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, asking that the Lord's Message may be spread rapidly and its glory be displayed, as it was displayed among you;
Egaa yaa obboloota, akka dubbiin Gooftaa akkuma isin biratti taʼe sana dafee iddoo hunda gaʼuu fi akka ulfinas qabaatu nuuf kadhadhaa.
2 and that we may be delivered from wrong-headed and wicked men; for it is not everybody who has faith.
Akka nu harka namoota hamootii fi jalʼootaa jalaa baanuufis nuuf kadhadhaa; amantii kan qabu nama hunda mitii.
3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will make you stedfast and will guard you from the Evil one.
Gooftaan garuu amanamaa dha; inni isin cimsa; isa hamaa irraas isin eega.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord in regard to you that you are doing, and will do, what we command.
Nu akka isin waan nu isin ajajne sana hojjechaa jirtan, akka ittuma fuftaniis hojjetan Gooftaa ni amananna.
5 And may the Lord guide your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
Gooftaan garaa keessan gara jaalala Waaqaatii fi gara obsa Kiristoositti haa qajeelchu.
6 But, by the authority of the Lord, we command you, brethren, to stand aloof from every brother whose life is disorderly and not in accordance with the teaching which all received from us.
Yaa obboloota, isin obboleessa dhibaaʼaa fi kan akka bartee isin nurraa argattan sanaattis hin jiraanne hunda irraa akka fagaattaniif maqaa Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoosiin isin ajajna.
7 For you yourselves know that it is your duty to follow our example. There was no disorder in our lives among you,
Isin mataan keessan akkamitti akka fakkeenya keenya duukaa buʼuu qabdan ni beektuutii. Nu yeroo isin bira turretti dhibaaʼota hin turre;
8 nor did we eat any one's bread without paying for it, but we laboured and toiled, working hard night and day in order not to be a burden to any of you.
nus akka isin keessaa nama tokkotti illee baʼaa hin taaneef jennee, dadhabbii fi tattaaffii guddaan halkanii guyyaa hojjechaa turre malee buddeena nama tokkoo illee tola hin nyaanne.
9 This was not because we had not a claim upon you, but it arose from a desire to set you an example--for you to imitate us.
Nu fakkeenya isinii taʼuuf waan kana goone malee waan aangoo hin qabneef miti.
10 For even when we were with you, we laid down this rule for you: "If a man does not choose to work, neither shall he eat."
Nu yommuu isin bira turretti ajaja, “Namni hojjechuu hin barbaanne kam iyyuu hin nyaatin” jedhu isinii kenninee turreetii.
11 For we hear that there are some of you who live disorderly lives and are mere idle busybodies.
Akka isin keessaa namoonni tokko tokko dhibaaʼota taʼanii jiraatan dhageenyeerraatii. Isaan dhimma nama biraa keessa galuu malee ofii isaaniitii waan tokko illee hin hojjetan.
12 To persons of that sort our injunction--and our command by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ--is that they are to work quietly and eat their own honestly-earned bread.
Namoonni akkanaa akka gab jedhanii hojii hojjetanii fi akka buddeena ofii isaanii nyaataniif Gooftaa Yesuus Kiristoosiin isaan ajajna; ni gorsinas.
13 But you, brethren, must not grow weary in the path of duty;
Isin garuu yaa obboloota, waan gaarii hojjechuutti hin laafinaa.
14 and if any one refuses to obey these our written instructions, mark that man and hold no communication with him--so that he may be made to feel ashamed.
Yoo namni kam iyyuu dubbii keenya kan xalayaa kana keessaatiif hin ajajamne, nama kana yaadatti qabadhaa. Akka inni qaanaʼuufis isa wajjin tokkummaa hin qabaatinaa.
15 And yet do not regard him as an enemy, but caution him as a brother.
Taʼus akka obboleessaatti isa gorsaa malee akka diinaatti isa hin ilaalinaa.
16 And may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every sense. The Lord be with you all.
Gooftaan nagaa mataan isaas yeroo hunda, karaa hundaan nagaa isinii haa kennu. Gooftaan hunduma keessan wajjin haa taʼu.
17 I Paul add the greeting with my own hand, which is the credential in every letter of mine.
Ani Phaawulos xalayaa kana harkuma kootiin barreessa; kunis mallattoo xalayoota koo hundaa ti. Akki ani itti barreessus kanuma.
18 This is my handwriting. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Ayyaanni Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoos isin hunda wajjin haa taʼu.
