< 2 Peter 3 >

1 This letter which I am now writing to you, dear friends, is my second letter. In both my letters I seek to revive in your honest minds the memory of certain things,
Kagol ngaitah teho, hiche hi nahenguva dinga ka lekhathot ani channa ahitai, chule ani gel'a hi nalung gelu pha chu suhthouna ding le nalung thimu suhthah chehna ding kalung ngaito ahi.
2 so that you may recall the words spoken long ago by the holy Prophets, and the commandments of our Lord and Saviour given you through your Apostles.
Masang peh a themgao thenghon ipi aseiyu, chule IPakaiyu le Huhhingpun na solchah teu henga ipi thu apeh nageldoh dingu kalung gon ahi.
3 But, above all, remember that, in the last days, men will come who make a mock at everything--men governed only by their own passions,
Akhoh dehset a kageldoh sahkit nomu chu ni nunung lam leh jontai hat ho hung ding ahiuve, amaho chun thutah chu ataiponguva chule amaho lung ngaichat dungjuiya chon ding ahiuve.
4 and, asking, "What has become of His promised Return? For from the time our forefathers fell asleep all things continue as they have been ever since the creation of the world."
Amaho chun, “Yeshua hungkit ding ahi tia thutep chu itiba hitam? Ipu ipateu masanga vannoi kisem til laiya pat in tuchan geiyin ijakai angai chu ahi jinge,” tia ahinsei dingu ahi.
5 For they are wilfully blind to the fact that there were heavens which existed of old, and an earth, the latter arising out of water and extending continuously through water, by the command of God;
Amahon Pathen in van hohi thu apeh a asem a, chule Aman leiset hi twiya kona ahin umdohsah a chule twiya aum kimvel sah ahi, tihi alungcham tah in asumil un ahi.
6 and that, by means of these, the then existing race of men was overwhelmed with water and perished.
Chujouva chu Aman twi chu amanchah a vannoi aluipa chu twisanglet'a asuh mang ahi.
7 But the present heavens and the present earth are, by the command of the same God, kept stored up, reserved for fire in preparation for a day of judgement and of destruction for the ungodly.
Chule hiche thum'a ma a chu tua vanho le leiset jong hi meiya dinga kikhol khoma ahi. Amaho hi thutan nikhoa dinga kikoitup'a ahiuvin, chutengleh Pathen ngaisah lou ho kisu manghel jeng diu ahitai.
8 But there is one thing, dear friends, which you must not forget. With the Lord one day resembles a thousand years and a thousand years resemble one day.
Hinlah kangaitah teho, nanghon hiche thilkhat hi sumil hih un. Ajeh chu Pakaiya dingin nikho khat jong chu kum sangkhat tobang chule kum sangkhat jong chu nikho khat tobangma ahi ti heuvin.
9 The Lord is not slow in fulfilling His promise, in the sense in which some men speak of slowness. But He bears patiently with you, His desire being that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Mi phabep in Pakai chu athutep lam dol a geisang hidinga agel u chu hilou ahi. Ahipoi, ama nangho jal a thoh hat joh'ah ahibouve. Aman koimacha suhmanga aum ding adeipoi, chusanga mitin lung akisih dingu adei ahi.
10 The day of the Lord will come like a thief--it will be a day on which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, the elements be destroyed in the fierce heat, and the earth and all the works of man be utterly burnt up.
Hinlah Pakai nikho hi gucha banga kigin loupet le hung lhung ding ahi. Chutengleh vanho jong meikouva kisubei ding, chule asunga umjouse hi thutanna chang diu ahiuve.
11 Since all these things are thus pre-destined to dissolution, what sort of men ought you to be found to be in all holy living and godly conduct,
Hitia hi ikimvel uva umjouse hi kisumang ding ahiuva ahitah leh, nangho la ichan geiya thenna le Pathen ngaisah a nahin dingu ham?
12 eagerly looking forward to the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens, all ablaze, will be destroyed, and the elements will melt in the fierce heat?
Pathen nikho ahung lhun ding chu katjinga chule kinem'a ngahjinga um ding ahi. Hiche nikhoachu, Aman vanho chu meiya ahal ding, chule thil ho chu meikonga junlha gam ding ahitauve.
13 But in accordance with His promise we are expecting new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will dwell.
Hinlah eihon Aman athutep Van thahho le leiset thah chu kinem'a ingau ahi, hichea chu Pathen chonphatna dimset ahi.
14 Therefore, dear friends, since you have these expectations, earnestly seek to be found in His presence, free from blemish or reproach, in peace.
Chule hitia chu, deitahte nanghon hichengse hi ahung lhun ding nanga pet un, ama mitmua atheng le nolnabeiya kichamdela hinding kihabolun.
15 And always regard the patient forbearance of our Lord as salvation, as our dear brother Paul also has written to you in virtue of the wisdom granted to him.
Chule geldoh un, IPakaiyu thohhatna chun miho huhhing'a umna ding phat apeh ahi. Hiche hi isopiu Paul jengin jong Pathen in chihna apeh a chu nahenguva ajih ahi.
16 That is what he says in all his letters, when speaking in them of these things. In those letters there are some statements hard to understand, which ill-taught and unprincipled people pervert, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own ruin.
Alekhathot jousea hiche thudol hi asei ahi. Alung gel phabep aseiho chu hethahsa aumin, chule ima hetna neilou holeh dinmun detlou ho chun Pathen Thudang aboljiu bang chun lamchom lang akosah un, chule hiche hin amanthahna dingu ahinsodoh ding ahi.
17 You, therefore, dear friends, having been warned beforehand, must continually be on your guard so as not to be led astray by the false teaching of immoral men nor fall from your own stedfastness.
Hijeh chun sopi deitahte, phat lhin masanga kahin jih masat ahi. Kihong phauvin, hitia chu chuche migilou ho suhkhelna chun napui mang louna dinguvin chule nadindet pet u lhaso khaget uvinate.
18 But be always growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be all glory, both now and to the day of Eternity! (aiōn g165)
Chusangin, nangho I Pakaiyu le Huhhingpa Pakai Yeshua Christa lungsetna le hetna a chun khangtou jingun. Abonchan Ama a chun tule a-itih a dingin loupina hijing tahen! Amen. (aiōn g165)
