2 Peter 2
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be teachers of falsehood among you also, who will cunningly introduce fatal divisions, disowning even the Sovereign Lord who has redeemed them, and bringing on themselves swift destruction.
อปรํ ปูรฺวฺวกาเล ยถา โลกานำ มเธฺย มิถฺยาภวิษฺยทฺวาทิน อุปาติษฺฐนฺ ตถา ยุษฺมากํ มเธฺย'ปิ มิถฺยาศิกฺษกา อุปสฺถาสฺยนฺติ, เต เสฺวษำ เกฺรตารํ ปฺรภุมฺ อนงฺคีกฺฤตฺย สตฺวรํ วินาศํ เสฺวษุ วรฺตฺตยนฺติ วินาศกไวธรฺมฺมฺยํ คุปฺตํ ยุษฺมนฺมธฺยมฺ อาเนษฺยนฺติฯ
2 And in their immoral ways they will have many eager disciples, through whom religion will be brought into disrepute.
ตโต 'เนเกษุ เตษำ วินาศกมารฺคํ คเตษุ เตภฺย: สตฺยมารฺคสฺย นินฺทา สมฺภวิษฺยติฯ
3 Thirsting for riches, they will trade on you with their canting talk. From of old their judgement has been working itself out, and their destruction has not been slumbering.
อปรญฺจ เต โลภาตฺ กาปฏฺยวาไกฺย รฺยุษฺมตฺโต ลาภํ กริษฺยนฺเต กินฺตุ เตษำ ปุราตนทณฺฑาชฺญา น วิลมฺพเต เตษำ วินาศศฺจ น นิทฺราติฯ
4 For God did not spare angels when they had sinned, but hurling them down to Tartarus consigned them to caves of darkness, keeping them in readiness for judgement. (Tartaroō g5020)
อีศฺวร: กฺฤตปาปานฺ ทูตานฺ น กฺษมิตฺวา ติมิรศฺฤงฺขไล: ปาตาเล รุทฺธฺวา วิจารารฺถํ สมรฺปิตวานฺฯ (Tartaroō g5020)
5 And He did not spare the ancient world, although He preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a deluge on the world of the ungodly.
ปุราตนํ สํสารมปิ น กฺษมิตฺวา ตํ ทุษฺฏานำ สํสารํ ชลาปฺลาวเนน มชฺชยิตฺวา สปฺตชไน: สหิตํ ธรฺมฺมปฺรจารกํ โนหํ รกฺษิตวานฺฯ
6 He reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and condemned them to overthrow, making them an example to people who might in future be living godless lives.
สิโทมมฺ อโมรา เจตินามเก นคเร ภวิษฺยตำ ทุษฺฏานำ ทฺฤษฺฏานฺตํ วิธาย ภสฺมีกฺฤตฺย วินาเศน ทณฺฑิตวานฺ;
7 But when righteous Lot was sore distressed by the gross misconduct of immoral men He rescued him.
กินฺตุ ไต: กุตฺสิตวฺยภิจาริภิ รฺทุษฺฏาตฺมภิ: กฺลิษฺฏํ ธารฺมฺมิกํ โลฏํ รกฺษิตวานฺฯ
8 (For their lawless deeds were torture, day after day, to the pure soul of that righteous man--all that he saw and heard whilst living in their midst.)
ส ธารฺมฺมิโก ชนเสฺตษำ มเธฺย นิวสนฺ สฺวียทฺฤษฺฏิโศฺรตฺรโคจเรภฺยเสฺตษามฺ อธรฺมฺมาจาเรภฺย: สฺวกียธารฺมฺมิกมนสิ ทิเน ทิเน ตปฺตวานฺฯ
9 Since all this is so, the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from temptation, and on the other hand how to keep the unrighteous under punishment in readiness for the Day of Judgement,
ปฺรภุ รฺภกฺตานฺ ปรีกฺษาทฺ อุทฺธรฺตฺตุํ วิจารทินญฺจ ยาวทฺ ทณฺฑฺยามานานฺ อธารฺมฺมิกานฺ โรทฺธุํ ปารยติ,
10 and especially those who are abandoned to sensuality--craving, as they do, for polluted things, and scorning control. Fool-hardy and self-willed, they do not tremble when speaking evil of glorious beings;
วิเศษโต เย 'เมธฺยาภิลาษาตฺ ศารีริกสุขมฺ อนุคจฺฉนฺติ กรฺตฺฤตฺวปทานิ จาวชานนฺติ ตาเนว (โรทฺธุํ ปารยติฯ ) เต ทุ: สาหสิน: ปฺรคลฺภาศฺจฯ
11 while angels, though greater than they in might and power, do not bring any insulting accusation against such in the presence of the Lord.
อปรํ พลเคารวาภฺยำ เศฺรษฺฐา ทิวฺยทูตา: ปฺรโภ: สนฺนิเธา เยษำ ไวปรีเตฺยน นินฺทาสูจกํ วิจารํ น กุรฺวฺวนฺติ เตษามฺ อุจฺจปทสฺถานำ นินฺทนาทฺ อิเม น ภีตา: ฯ
12 But these men, like brute beasts, created (with their natural instincts) only to be captured or destroyed, are abusive in matters of which they are ignorant, and in their corruption will perish,
กินฺตุ เย พุทฺธิหีนา: ปฺรกฺฤตา ชนฺตโว ธรฺตฺตวฺยตาไย วินาศฺยตาไย จ ชายนฺเต ตตฺสทฺฤศา อิเม ยนฺน พุธฺยนฺเต ตตฺ นินฺทนฺต: สฺวกียวินาศฺยตยา วินํกฺษฺยนฺติ สฺวียาธรฺมฺมสฺย ผลํ ปฺราปฺสฺยนฺติ จฯ
13 being doomed to receive a requital for their guilt. They reckon it pleasure to feast daintily in broad daylight. They are spots and blemishes, while feeding luxuriously at their love-feasts, and banqueting with you.
เต ทิวา ปฺรกฺฤษฺฏโภชนํ สุขํ มนฺยนฺเต นิชฉไล: สุขโภคิน: สนฺโต ยุษฺมาภิ: สารฺทฺธํ โภชนํ กุรฺวฺวนฺต: กลงฺกิโน โทษิณศฺจ ภวนฺติฯ
14 Their very eyes are full of adultery--being eyes which never cease from sin. These men set traps to catch unstedfast souls, their own hearts being well trained in greed. They are fore-doomed to God's curse!
เตษำ โลจนานิ ปรทารากางฺกฺษีณิ ปาเป จาศฺรานฺตานิ เต จญฺจลานิ มนำสิ โมหยนฺติ โลเภ ตตฺปรมนส: สนฺติ จฯ
15 Forsaking the straight road, they have gone astray, having eagerly followed in the steps of Balaam, the son of Beor, who was bent on securing the wages of unrighteousness.
เต ศาปคฺรสฺตา วํศา: สรลมารฺคํ วิหาย พิโยรปุตฺรสฺย พิลิยมสฺย วิปเถน วฺรชนฺโต ภฺรานฺตา อภวนฺฯ ส พิลิยโม 'ปฺยธรฺมฺมาตฺ ปฺราเปฺย ปาริโตษิเก'ปฺรียต,
16 But he was rebuked for his transgression: a dumb ass spoke with a human voice and checked the madness of the Prophet.
กินฺตุ นิชาปราธาทฺ ภรฺตฺสนามฺ อลภต ยโต วจนศกฺติหีนํ วาหนํ มานุษิกคิรมฺ อุจฺจารฺยฺย ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิน อุนฺมตฺตตามฺ อพาธตฯ
17 These people are wells without water, mists driven along by a storm, men for whom the dense darkness has been reserved.
อิเม นิรฺชลานิ ปฺรสฺรวณานิ ปฺรจณฺฑวายุนา จาลิตา เมฆาศฺจ เตษำ กฺฤเต นิตฺยสฺถายี โฆรตรานฺธการ: สญฺจิโต 'สฺติฯ (questioned)
18 For, while they pour out their frivolous and arrogant talk, they use earthly cravings--every kind of immorality--as a bait to entrap men who are just escaping from the influence of those who live in error.
เย จ ชนา ภฺรานฺตฺยาจาริคณาตฺ กฺฤจฺเฉฺรโณทฺธฺฤตาสฺตานฺ อิเม 'ปริมิตทรฺปกถา ภาษมาณา: ศารีริกสุขาภิลาไษ: กามกฺรีฑาภิศฺจ โมหยนฺติฯ
19 And they promise them freedom, although they are themselves the slaves of what is corrupt. For a man is the slave of any one by whom he has been worsted in fight.
เตภฺย: สฺวาธีนตำ ปฺรติชฺญาย สฺวยํ วินาศฺยตายา ทาสา ภวนฺติ, ยต: , โย เยไนว ปราชิเคฺย ส ชาตสฺตสฺย กิงฺกร: ฯ
20 For if, after escaping from the pollutions of the world through a full knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, people are once more entangled in these pollutions and are overcome, their last state has become worse than their first.
ตฺราตุ: ปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ชฺญาเนน สํสารสฺย มเลภฺย อุทฺธฺฤตา เย ปุนเสฺตษุ นิมชฺชฺย ปราชียนฺเต เตษำ ปฺรถมทศาต: เศษทศา กุตฺสิตา ภวติฯ
21 For it would have been better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandments in which they were instructed.
เตษำ ปกฺเษ ธรฺมฺมปถสฺย ชฺญานาปฺราปฺติ รฺวรํ น จ นิรฺทฺทิษฺฏาตฺ ปวิตฺรวิธิมารฺคาตฺ ชฺญานปฺราปฺตานำ ปราวรฺตฺตนํฯ
22 Their case is that described in the true proverb, "A dog returns to what he has vomited," and also in the other proverb, "The sow has washed itself and now goes back to roll in its filth."
กินฺตุ เยยํ สตฺยา ทฺฤษฺฏานฺตกถา ไสว เตษุ ผลิตวตี, ยถา, กุกฺกุร: สฺวียวานฺตาย วฺยาวรฺตฺตเต ปุน: ปุน: ฯ ลุฐิตุํ กรฺทฺทเม ตทฺวตฺ กฺษาลิตศฺไจว ศูกร: ๚
