1 Timothy 3
1 Faithful is the saying, "If any one is eager to have the oversight of a Church, he desires a noble work."
Etu kotha to hosa ase: kunba cholawta hobole mon thakile, tai ekjon bhal kaam kori bole mon kori ase.
2 A minister then must be a man of irreproachable character, true to his one wife, temperate, sober-minded, well-behaved, hospitable to strangers, and with a gift for teaching;
Etu karone, ekjon cholawta to galti nathaka hobo lage, tai ekjon maiki laga mota hobo lage, hisab te thaka manu, dimag thaka, bhal adat, aru ghor te aha manu khan logote bhal thaki bole, sikhai dibole para manu,
3 not a hard drinker nor given to blows; not selfish or quarrelsome or covetous;
kintu modhu kha adat thaka aru jhagara kora manu nohobo lage, kintu tai to nomro, shanti thaka, aru poisa morom kora manu nohobo lage.
4 but ruling his own household wisely and well, with children kept under control with true dignity.
Tai nijor ghor ke bhal pora chola bo janibo lage, tai laga bacha khan pora tai laga kotha manibo lage, aru taike sonman kora manu hobo lage.
5 (If a man does not know how to rule his own household, how shall he have the Church of God given into his care?)
Kilekoile ekjon manu tai laga nijor ghor manu khan ke thik pora chola bo najanile, kineka tai Isor laga girja ke sabo paribo?
6 He ought not to be a new convert, for fear he should be blinded with pride and come under the same condemnation as the Devil.
Tai ekjon notun biswasi nohobo lage, etu pora tai phutani pora bhorta nohobo aru tai bhoot laga rasta te nagiribo.
7 It is needful also that he bear a good character with people outside the Church, lest he fall into reproach or a snare of the Devil.
Tai bhal naam thaka aru bahar te bhi ekjon bhal naam thaka hobo lage, etu hoile tai sorom nohobo aru bhoot laga jal te nagiribo.
8 Deacons, in the same way, must be men of serious demeanour, not double-tongued, nor addicted to much wine, nor greedy of base gain,
Thik eneka, porisharok khan bhi, sonman thaka hobo lage, aru duita kotha kora, modhu kha manu, aru lalchi kora manu nahobo lage,
9 but holding the secret truths of the faith with a clear conscience.
hoilebi, taikhan to mon sapha pora hosa laga biswasi hobo lage.
10 And they must also be well-tried men, and when found to be of unblemished character then let them serve as deacons.
Taikhan ke bhal pora sabi, aru taikhan thik ase koile taikhan ke etu kaam koribo dibi.
11 Deaconesses, in the same way, must be sober-minded women, not slanderers, but in every way temperate and trustworthy.
Etu nisena mahila khan bhi sonman thaka hobo lage, chukuli nakoribo lage, hisab-te thaka, aru sob te thik mon dibo para hobo lage.
12 A deacon must be true to his one wife, and rule his children and his own household wisely and well.
Girja laga porisharok khan ekjon maiki laga mota hobo lage, bacha khan ke aru ghor manu khan sobke bhal pora cholabole janibo lage.
13 For those who have filled the deacon's office wisely and well, are already gaining for themselves an honourable standing, and are acquiring great freedom of speech in proclaiming the faith which rests on Christ Jesus.
Kilekoile jun kaam thik pora korise, tai nijor nimite ekjon bhal sonman thaka naam hobo aru biswas te bisi mon dangor hobo juntu Jisu Khrista te ase.
14 All this I write to you, though I am hoping before long to come to see you.
Ami etu sob apuni khan ke likhi ase, aru apnikhan logote joldi ahibole bhabi ase,
15 But, for fear I may be hindered, I now write, so that you may have rules to guide you in dealing with God's household. For this is what the Church of the ever-living God is, and it is the pillar and foundation-stone of the truth.
hoilebi ami ahibole deri hoise koile, etu likha khan pora apuni janibo Isor laga ghor te thaka manu khan kineka niyom manibo lage, juntu jinda Isor laga girja ase, juntu hosa laga khamba ase aru etu ke khara kori bole dhuri thake.
16 And, beyond controversy, great is the mystery of our religion-- that Christ appeared in human form, and His claims justified by the Spirit, was seen by angels and proclaimed among Gentile nations, was believed on in the world, and received up again into glory.
Eku ulta bhabona nathaki kene, Isor laga hosa to dangor pora dikhaise: “Khrista ke mangso te dikhai dise, Atma pora bujhai dise, Sorgodoth khan pora dikhise, Desh majote sobke janai dise, Prithibi te biswas korise, Aru Taike sorgote loi jaise.”
