< 1 Peter 1 >

1 Peter, an Apostle of Jesus Christ: To God's own people scattered over the earth, who are living as foreigners in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Roman Asia, and Bithynia,
Jisu Kristo kaamwah, Pitar jiin nawa— Arah le ah Rangte ih danjeeta mina o Pontus ni, Galatia, Kappadosia, Asia nyia Bithania hadaang ni nokmah wensang ih saapta rumta loong raangtaan.
2 chosen in accordance with the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, with a view to their obedience and to their being sprinkled with the blood of Jesus Christ. May more and more grace and peace be granted to you.
Sen loong ah Rangte mootkaat raangtaan ih Jisu Kristo jeng chaatchaatte angsuh nyia heh sih ih toom saasiit han suh adoleh Chiiala nawa ih esa noksong angthuk suh danje tahan. Rangte tenthet nyia semroongroong thoontang sen lakbui toom ang ah.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in His great mercy has begotten us anew to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

6 Rejoice triumphantly in the prospect of this, even if now, for a short time, you are compelled to sorrow amid various trials.
Erah raangtaan ih, amadoh sen loong ah phate chamnaang thoidoh pootsiit thungthet theng ang ah bah uh tenroon ih tong an.
7 The sorrow comes in order that the testing of your faith--being more precious than that of gold, which perishes and yet is proved by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the re-appearing of Jesus Christ.
Erah chamnaang lan abah sen tuumaang ah thaangmuh tah angka ngeh ih jatthuk suh angla. Kom, thet jaat ah botse we ni thaaksook ha; an tuumaang, kom nang ih thaangchaan ah uh ejen naan esuh thaak phate jaatjaat ih ho. Eno juuba Jisu Kristo kaat Rangwuuja phoongpha, rangka nyia choomjoot ah choh an.
8 Him you love, though your eyes have never looked on Him. In Him, though at present you cannot see Him, you nevertheless trust, and triumph with a joy which is unspeakable and is crowned with glory,

10 There were Prophets who earnestly inquired about that salvation, and closely searched into it--even those who spoke beforehand of the grace which was to come to you.
Khowah loong ih khopiiroidong tiit jamtoongte ta tiit ah arah, eno Rangte ih sen suh ranglakkot tiit banbaatta ah sen suh kohan.
11 They were eager to know the time which the Spirit of Christ within them kept indicating, or the characteristics of that time, when they solemnly made known beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ and the glories which would follow.
Neng ih saapoot ah tiimtok doh ang ah nyia mamah thok ha erah tiit ah jat suh taat thun rumta. Khowah loong sak ni Kristo Chiiala ah erah tokdi pah ano, cham anaang ah Kristo ih jen naan ah eno erah lih adoh heh men rangka tiit ah banjat rumta.
12 To them it was revealed that they were serving not themselves but you, when they foretold the very things which have now been openly declared to you by those who, having been taught by the Holy Spirit which had been sent from Heaven, brought you the Good News. Angels long to stoop and look into these things.
Rangte ih khowah loong suh neng mootkaat pakna ah neng raangtaan tah angka ngeh ih dongjat thuk rumta, enoothong erah sen raangtaan, rangmong dowa Esa chiiala chaan aphaan nawa ih Ruurang Ese tiit baattaante loong asuh erah banbaat rumta ah baat halan. 15 but--in imitation of the holy One who has called you--you also must be holy in all your habits of life.
Erah nang ebah, sen loong poonte Rangte esa angla likhiik, tiimjih re anbah uh esa ang theng.
16 Because it stands written, "You are to be holy, because I am holy."
Rangteele ni liiha, “Esa ang an tiimnge liidi ngah esa.”
17 And if you address as your Father Him who judges impartially in accordance with each man's actions, then spend in fear the time of your stay here on earth,
Sen ih Rangte rangsoom andi, Ewah li han, heh ih, mina loongtang neng reeraangla jun ih phoosiitsiit ih dande ha; erah raangtaan ih, sen loong ah arah hah adoh tong pootdoh heh men ah samthun roh ih anno songtong an.

20 He was pre-destined indeed to this work, even before the creation of the world, but has been plainly manifested in these last days for the sake of you who, through Him,
Mongrep maang dongsiitka di Rangte ih Jisu ah danje ano sen loong raangtaan ih liwang ni dongjat thuk ha.
21 are faithful to God, who raised Him from among the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are resting upon God.
Sen ih Rangte ah heh jun ih hanpi han, marah heh ih tek nawa ngaaksaat thuk ano heh men rangka ha; erah raangtaan ih sen loong ah Rangte suh tuumaang lan nyia laalom lan.
22 Now that, through your obedience to the truth, you have purified your souls for cherishing sincere brotherly love, you must love another heartily and fervently.
Erah thoidi amadi amiisak tiit jeng ah boichaat anno sen teenuh teewah saachamcham anglan eno hanpiite sen loong jaachi ni minchanmui elan, wasiit ih wasiit senten senmong nawa ih minchanmui lan.
23 For you have been begotten again by God's ever-living and enduring word from a germ not of perishable, but of imperishable life. (aiōn g165)
Tiimnge liidi ething nyia mabah uh lathoonka Rangte jengkhaap jun ih we doptup halan, sen wah etekjaat jun ih lah angthang ih latekjaat jun ih ah. (aiōn g165)
24 "All mankind resemble the herbage, and all their beauty is like its flowers. The herbage dries up, and its flowers drop off;
Rangteele ni amah liiha’ Mina loongtang naam likhiik, eno neng rangka ah woma popong likhiik. Naam ah ehook ela, adoleh popong ah emut ela,
25 But the word of the Lord remains for ever." And that means the Message which has been proclaimed among you in the Good News. (aiōn g165)
