< 1 Corinthians 5 >

1 It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and of a kind unheard of even among the Gentiles--a man has his father's wife!
Ìròyìn rẹ ń tàn kalẹ̀ pé ìwà àgbèrè wa láàrín yín, irú àgbèrè tí a kò tilẹ̀ gbúròó rẹ̀ láàrín àwọn aláìkọlà pé, ẹnìkan nínú yín ń fẹ́ ìyàwó baba rẹ̀.
2 And you, instead of mourning and removing from among you the man who has done this deed of shame, are filled with self-complacency!
Ẹ̀yin ń ṣe ìgbéraga! Ẹ̀yin kò kúkú káàánú kí a lè mú ẹni tí ó hu ìwà yìí kúrò láàrín yín?
3 I for my part, present with you in spirit although absent in body, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has so acted.
Lóòtítọ́ èmi kò sí láàrín yín nípa ti ara, ṣùgbọ́n mo wà lọ́dọ̀ yín nínú ẹ̀mí àti pé, ní orúkọ Olúwa Jesu Kristi, mo tí ṣe ìdájọ́ lórí irú ẹni bẹ́ẹ̀, bí ẹni pé mo wá láàrín yín.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are all assembled and my spirit is with you, together with the power of our Lord Jesus,
Ní orúkọ Jesu Kristi. Nígbà tí ẹ̀yin bá péjọ, àti ẹ̀mí mi si wa pẹ̀lú yin nínú ẹ̀mí mi àti pẹ̀lú agbára Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa.
5 I have handed over such a man to Satan for the destruction of his body, that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus.
Kí ẹ fi irú ẹni bẹ́ẹ̀ lé Satani lọ́wọ́ fún ìparun ara, kí ó ba à le gba ẹ̀mí rẹ là ní ọjọ́ Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi.
6 It is no good thing--this which you make the ground of your boasting. Do you not know that a little yeast corrupts the whole of the dough?
Ìṣeféfé yín kò dára. Ẹ̀yin kò mọ̀ pé ìwúkàrà díẹ̀ ní mú gbogbo ìyẹ̀fun di wíwú?
7 Get rid of the old yeast so that you may be dough of a new kind; for in fact you are free from corruption. For our Passover Lamb has already been offered in sacrifice--even Christ.
Nítorí náà ẹ mú ìwúkàrà àtijọ́ kúrò nínú yín, kí ẹ̀yin kí ó lè jẹ ìyẹ̀fun tuntun, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀yin tí jẹ àkàrà ti kò ní ìwúkàrà. Nítorí à ti fi ìrékọjá wa, àní Kristi ni a ti pa láti fi ṣe ẹbọ fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa.
8 Therefore let us keep our festival not with old yeast nor with the yeast of what is evil and mischievous, but with bread free from yeast--the bread of transparent sincerity and of truth.
Nítorí náà, ẹ jẹ́ kí á pa àjọ náà mọ́, kì í ṣe pẹ̀lú ìwúkàrà àtijọ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kì í ṣe pẹ̀lú ìwúkàrà àrankàn àti ìwà búburú, ṣùgbọ́n pẹ̀lú àkàrà tí kò ní ìwúkàrà, àkàrà òtítọ́ àti òdodo.
9 I wrote to you in that letter that you were not to associate with fornicators;
Nígbà tí mo kọ̀wé ṣáájú sí i yín, mo sọ fún yín pé, kí ẹ má ṣe darapọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn alágbèrè ènìyàn.
10 not that in this world you are to keep wholly aloof from such as they, any more than from people who are avaricious and greedy of gain, or from worshippers of idols. For that would mean that you would be compelled to go out of the world altogether.
Nígbà tí mo sọ bẹ́ẹ̀ ń kò sọ̀rọ̀ nípa àwọn tí ayé yìí, tí wọ́n ń gbé ìgbé ayé wọn nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ àgbèrè, àti àwọn olójúkòkòrò tí ń rẹ́ ni jẹ, àwọn olè àti àwọn abọ̀rìṣà. Nítorí ó dájú pé ẹ̀yin gbọdọ̀ kúrò nínú ayé yìí láti yẹra fún wọn.
11 But what I meant was that you were not to associate with any one bearing the name of "brother," if he was addicted to fornication or avarice or idol-worship or abusive language or hard-drinking or greed of gain. With such a man you ought not even to eat.
Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí mo kọ̀wé sí i yín pé, bí ẹnikẹ́ni tí a pe rẹ̀ ni arákùnrin bá jẹ́ àgbèrè, tàbí wọ̀bìà, tàbí abọ̀rìṣà, àti ẹlẹ́gàn, tàbí ọ̀mùtípara, tàbí alọ́nilọ́wọ́gbà. Kí ẹ tilẹ̀ bá irú ẹni bẹ́ẹ̀ jẹun.
12 For what business of mine is it to judge outsiders? Is it not for you to judge those who are within the Church
Nítorí èwo ni tèmi láti máa ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn tí ń bẹ lóde? Kì í ha ṣe àwọn tí ó wà nínú ni ẹ̀yin ṣe ìdájọ́ wọn?
13 while you leave to God's judgement those who are outside? Remove the wicked man from among you.
Ọlọ́run yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn tí ó ń bẹ lóde. “Ẹ lé àwọn ènìyàn búburú náà kúrò láàrín yín.”
