1 Corinthians 3
1 And as for myself, brethren, I found it impossible to speak to you as spiritual men. It had to be as to worldlings--mere babes in Christ.
Ug ako, mga igsoon, dili makasulti kaninyo ingon nga espirituhanong mga tawo, apan hinuon ingon nga unodnon nga mga tawo, ingon nga mga bata pa diha kang Cristo.
2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food, since for this you were not yet strong enough. And even now you are not strong enough:
Gipainom ko kamo ug gatas ug dili karne, kay dili pa kamo andam alang sa karne. Ug bisan gani karon dili pa kamo andam.
3 you are still unspiritual. For so long as jealousy and strife continue among you, can it be denied that you are unspiritual and are living and acting like mere men of the world?
Kay kamo unodnon pa gihapon. Kay diin anaa ang pangabugho ug panag-away kaninyo, dili ba nagpuyo man kamo sumala sa unodnon, ug dili ba naglakaw man kamo pinaagi sa tawhanong sukaranan?
4 For when some one says, "I belong to Paul," and another says, "I belong to Apollos," is not this the way men of the world speak?
Kay sa dihang ang usa moingon, “Misunod ako kang Pablo,” ug ang lain moingon, “Misunod ako kang Apollos,” dili ba nagkinabuhi man kamo ingon nga mga tawhanon?
5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are just God's servants, through whose efforts, and as the Lord granted power to each, you accepted the faith.
Unya kinsa ba si Apollos? Ug kinsa diay si Pablo? Mga alagad nga inyong gituohan, ang matag-usa nga gihatagan sa Ginoo ug mga buluhaton.
6 I planted and Apollos watered; but it was God who was, all the time, giving the increase.
Ako ang nagtanom, si Apollos ang nagbisbis, apan ang Dios ang nagpatubo.
7 So that neither the planter nor the waterer is of any importance. God who gives the increase is all in all.
Busa, dili ang nagtanom ni ang nagbisbis mao ang mahinungdanon. Apan ang Dios mao ang nagpatubo.
8 Now in aim and purpose the planter and the waterer are one; and yet each will receive his own special reward, answering to his own special work.
Karon usa lang kadtong nagtanom ug kadtong nagbisbis, ug ang tagsa-tagsa makadawat sa iyang mga suhol sumala sa iyang kaugalingon nga paghago.
9 Apollos and I are simply fellow workers for and with God, and you are God's field-- God's building.
Kay kami ang isigka-magbubuhat sa Dios. Kamo ang tanaman sa Dios, ug gambalay sa Dios.
10 In discharge of the task which God graciously entrusted to me, I--like a competent master-builder--have laid a foundation, and others are building upon it. But let every one be careful how and what he builds.
Sumala sa grasya sa Dios nga gihatag kanako ingon nga hanas nga magtutukod, ako ang nagpahiluna sa usa ka patukoranan ug adunay lain ang nagtukod niini. Apan mag-amping ang matag tawo kung giunsa niya kini pagtukod.
11 For no one can lay any other foundation in addition to that which is already laid, namely Jesus Christ.
Kay walay bisan usa ang makapahimutang sa usa ka patukoranan gawas lang sa napahiluna na, mao kana, si Jesu-Cristo.
12 And whether the building which any one is erecting on that foundation be of gold or silver or costly stones, of timber or hay or straw--
Karon kung si bisan kinsa ang magtukod ug bulawang patukoranan, plata, bililhong mga bato, kahoy, dagami, o uhot,
13 the true character of each individual's work will become manifest. For the day of Christ will disclose it, because that day is soon to come upon us clothed in fire, and as for the quality of every one's work-- the fire is the thing which will test it.
ang iyang mga binuhatan mapadayag, kay ang kahayag magpadayag niini. Kay mapadayag kini diha sa kalayo. Pagasulayan sa kalayo ang kalidad kung unsa ang nahimo sa tagsa-tagsa.
14 If any one's work--the building which he has erected--stands the test, he will be rewarded.
Kung ang buhat ni bisan kinsa magpabilin, makadawat siya ug ganti;
15 If any one's work is burnt up, he will suffer the loss of it; yet he will himself be rescued, but only, as it were, by passing through the fire.
apan kung ang buhat ni bisan kinsa masunog, mag-antos siya sa kapildihan, apan maluwas ang iyang kaugalingon, ingon nga nakalingkawas pinaagi sa kalayo.
16 Do you not know that you are God's Sanctuary, and that the Spirit of God has His home within you?
Wala ba kamo masayod nga kamo templo sa Dios ug ang Espiritu sa Dios nagpuyo diha kaninyo?
17 If any one is marring the Sanctuary of God, him will God mar; for the Sanctuary of God is holy, which you all are.
Kung si bisan kinsa ang molaglag sa templo sa Dios, ang Dios magalaglag nianang tawhana. Kay ang templo sa Dios balaan, ug kamo usab.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If any man imagines that he is wise, compared with the rest of you, with the wisdom of the present age, let him become "foolish" so that he may be wise. (aiōn g165)
Ayaw tugoti ang bisan kinsa nga maglimbong sa iyang kaugalingon. Kung si bisan kinsa kaninyo ang naghunahuna nga siya maalamon niining panahona, pasagdi siya nga mahimong usa ka “buangbuang” aron nga magmaalamon siya. (aiōn g165)
19 This world's wisdom is "foolishness" in God's sight; for it is written, "He snares the wise with their own cunning."
Kay ang kaalam niining kalibotana binuang alang sa Dios. Kay nahisulat kini, “Bitikon niya ang maalamon sa ilang pagkamalinglahon.”
20 And again, "The Lord takes knowledge of the reasonings of the wise--how useless they are."
Ug usab, “Nasayod ang Ginoo nga ang pangatarongan sa maalamon walay kapuslanan.”
21 Therefore let no one boast about his human teachers.
Busa wala nay pagpasigarbo mahitungod sa mga tawo! Kay ang tanang mga butang inyoha na,
22 For everything belongs to you--be it Paul or Apollos or Peter, the world or life or death, things present or future--everything belongs to you;
bisan si Pablo, o si Apollos, o si Cefas, o ang kalibotan, o ang kinabuhi, o ang kamatayon, o ang kasamtangan nga mga butang, o ang mga butang nga moabotay pa. Ang tanang mga butang inyoha na,
23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
ug kamo iya ni Cristo ug si Cristo iya sa Dios.
