1 Corinthians 11
1 Be imitators of me, in so far as I in turn am an imitator of Christ.
௧நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாக இருங்கள்.
2 Now I commend you for remembering me in everything, and because you hold fast truths and practices precisely as I have taught them to you.
௨சகோதரர்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் என்னை நினைத்துக்கொண்டு, நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்தபடி நீங்கள் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு வருகிறதினால் உங்களைப் புகழுகிறேன்.
3 I would have you know, however, that of every man, Christ is the Head, that of a woman her husband is the Head, and that God is Christ's Head.
௩ஒவ்வொரு ஆணுக்கும் கிறிஸ்து தலையாக இருக்கிறார் என்றும், பெண்ணுக்கு ஆண் தலையாக இருக்கிறார் என்றும், கிறிஸ்துவிற்கு தேவன் தலையாக இருக்கிறார் என்றும், நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்.
4 A man who wears a veil when praying or prophesying dishonors his Head;
௪ஜெபம் செய்கிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எந்த ஆணும் தன் தலையை அவமதிக்கிறான்.
5 but a woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her Head, for it is exactly the same as if she had her hair cut short.
௫ஜெபம் செய்கிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாமலிருக்கிற எந்தப் பெண்ணும் தன் தலையை அவமதிக்கிறாள்; அது அவளுக்குத் தலை சிரைக்கப்பட்டதுபோல இருக்குமே.
6 If a woman will not wear a veil, let her also cut off her hair. But since it is a dishonor to a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her wear a veil.
௬பெண்ணானவள் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொள்ளாவிட்டால் தலைமுடியையும் கத்தரித்துப்போடவேண்டும்; தலைமுடி கத்தரிக்கப்படுகிறதும் சிரைக்கப்படுகிறதும் பெண்களுக்கு வெட்கமானால் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
7 For a man ought not to have a veil on his head, since he is the image and glory of God; while woman is the glory of man.
௭ஆணானவன் தேவனுடைய சாயலும் மகிமையுமாக இருக்கிறபடியால், தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளவேண்டியதில்லை; பெண்ணானவள் ஆணுடைய மகிமையாக இருக்கிறாள்.
8 Man does not take his origin from woman, but woman takes hers from man.
௮ஆண் பெண்ணிலிருந்து தோன்றினவனல்ல, பெண்ணே ஆணிலிருந்து தோன்றினவள்.
9 For man was not created for woman's sake, but woman for man's.
௯ஆண் பெண்ணுக்காகச் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவனல்ல, பெண்ணே ஆணுக்காக சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவள்.
10 That is why a woman ought to have on her head a symbol of subjection, because of the angels.
௧0ஆகவே, தூதர்களினிமித்தம் பெண்ணானவள் தலையின்மேல் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
11 Yet, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man nor man independent of woman.
௧௧ஆனாலும் கர்த்தருக்குள் பெண்ணில்லாமல் ஆணுமில்லை, ஆணில்லாமல் பெண்ணுமில்லை.
12 For just as woman originates from man, so also man comes into existence through woman, but everything springs originally from God.
௧௨பெண்ணானவள் ஆணிலிருந்து தோன்றுகிறதுபோல, ஆணும் பெண்ணிலிருந்து தோன்றுகிறான்; அனைத்தும் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.
13 Judge of this for your own selves: is it seemly for a woman to pray to God when she is unveiled?
௧௩பெண்ணானவள் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபம்செய்யும்போது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாமலிருக்கிறது முறையாக இருக்குமோ என்று உங்களுக்குள்ளே தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
14 Does not Nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a dishonor to him,
௧௪ஆண் முடியை நீளமாக வளர்க்கிறது அவனுக்கு அவமானமாக இருக்கிறதென்றும்,
15 but that if a woman has long hair it is her glory, because her hair was given her for a covering?
௧௫பெண் தன் முடியை நீளமாக வளர்க்கிறது அவளுக்கு மகிமையாக இருக்கிறதென்றும் சுபாவமே உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறதில்லையா? தலைமுடி அவளுக்கு முக்காடாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதே.
16 But if any one is inclined to be contentious on the point, we have no such custom, nor have the Churches of God.
௧௬ஆனாலும் ஒருவன் வாக்குவாதம்செய்ய மனதாயிருந்தால், எங்களுக்கும், தேவனுடைய சபைகளுக்கும் அப்படிப்பட்டப் பழக்கம் இல்லையென்று அறியவேண்டும்.
17 But while giving you these instructions, there is one thing I cannot praise--your meeting together, with bad rather than good results.
௧௭உங்களைப் புகழாமல் இந்த விஷயத்தைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளைக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் கூடிவருதல் நன்மைக்குரியதாக இல்லாமல், தீமைக்குரியதாக இருக்கிறதே.
18 for, in the first place, when you meet as a Church, there are divisions among you. This is what I am told, and I believe that there is some truth in it.
௧௮முதலாவது, நீங்கள் சபையிலே கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, உங்களில் பிரிவினைகள் உண்டென்று, கேள்விப்படுகிறேன்; அதில் சிலவற்றை நம்புகிறேன்.
19 For there must of necessity be differences of opinion among you, in order that it may be plainly seen who are the men of sterling worth among you.
௧௯உங்களில் உத்தமர்கள் எவர்களென்று தெரியும்படிக்கு வேறுபாடுகள் உங்களுக்குள்ளே உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டியதே.
20 When, however, you meet in one place, there is no eating the Supper of the Lord;
௨0நீங்கள் ஓரிடத்தில் கூடிவரும்போது, அவனவன் தன்தன் சொந்த போஜனத்தை முதலில் சாப்பிடுகிறான்; ஒருவன் பசியாக இருக்கிறான், ஒருவன் வெறியாக இருக்கிறான்.
21 for it is his own supper of which each of you is in a hurry to partake, and one eats like a hungry man, while another has already drunk to excess.
௨௧இப்படிச் செய்கிறது கர்த்தருடைய இராப்போஜனம்பண்ணுதல் இல்லையே.
22 Why, have you no homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you wish to show your contempt for the Church of God and make those who have no homes feel ashamed? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this matter I certainly do not praise you.
௨௨சாப்பிடுகிறதற்கும், குடிக்கிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு வீடுகள் இல்லையா? தேவனுடைய சபையை அலட்சியம்செய்து, இல்லாதவர்களை வெட்கப்படுத்துகிறீர்களா? உங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன்? இதைக்குறித்து உங்களைப் புகழ்வேனோ? புகழமாட்டேன்.
23 For it was from the Lord that I received the facts which, in turn, I handed on to you; how that the Lord Jesus, on the night He was to be betrayed, took some bread,
௨௩நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்ததைக் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேன்; என்னவென்றால், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தாம் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அன்று இராத்திரியிலே அப்பத்தை எடுத்து,
24 and after giving thanks He broke it and said, "This is my body which is about to be broken for you. Do this in memory of me."
௨௪ஸ்தோத்திரம்பண்ணி, அதைப் பிட்டு: நீங்கள் வாங்கிப் புசியுங்கள், இது உங்களுக்காகப் பிட்கப்படுகிற என்னுடைய சரீரமாக இருக்கிறது; என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச்செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.
25 In the same way, when the meal was over, He also took the cup. "This cup," He said, "is the new Covenant of which my blood is the pledge. Do this, every time that you drink it, in memory of me."
௨௫போஜனம்பண்ணினபின்பு, அவர் அந்தப்படியே பாத்திரத்தையும் எடுத்து: இந்தப் பாத்திரம் என் இரத்தத்தினாலாகிய புதிய உடன்படிக்கையாக இருக்கிறது; நீங்கள் இதைப் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச்செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.
26 For every time that you eat this bread and drink from the cup, you are proclaiming the Lord's death--until He returns.
௨௬ஆகவே, நீங்கள் இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் வரும்வரைக்கும் அவருடைய மரணத்தைத் தெரிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.
27 Whoever, therefore, in an unworthy manner, eats the bread or drinks from the cup of the Lord sins against the body and blood of the Lord.
௨௭இப்படியிருக்க, எவன் தகுதியின்றி கர்த்தருடைய அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, அவருடைய பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணுகிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடைய சரீரத்தையும் இரத்தத்தையும்குறித்துக் குற்றமுள்ளவனாக இருப்பான்.
28 But let a man examine himself, and, having done that, then let him eat the bread and drink from the cup.
௨௮எந்த மனிதனும் தன்னைத்தானே சோதித்தறிந்து, இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணவேண்டும்.
29 For any one who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgement to himself, if he fails to estimate the body aright.
௨௯ஏனென்றால், தகுதியில்லாமல் புசித்து, பானம்பண்ணுகிறவன், கர்த்தருடைய சரீரம் என்னவென்று நிதானித்து அறியாததினால், தனக்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வரும்படி புசிக்கவும், பானம்பண்ணவும் செய்கிறான்.
30 That is why many among you are sickly and out of health, and why not a few die.
௩0இதினிமித்தம், உங்களில் அநேகர் பலவீனரும் வியாதி உள்ளவர்களுமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்; அநேகர் மரணமும் அடைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
31 If, however, we estimated ourselves aright, we should not be judged.
௩௧நம்மைநாமே நிதானித்து அறிந்தால் நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படமாட்டோம்.
32 But when we are judged by the Lord, chastisement follows, to save us from being condemned along with the world.
௩௨நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படும்போது உலகத்தோடு தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தராலே சிட்சிக்கப்படுகிறோம்.
33 Therefore, brethren, when you come together for this meal, wait for one another.
௩௩ஆகவே, என் சகோதரர்களே, நீங்கள் உணவு உண்ணக் கூடிவரும்போது, ஒருவருக்காக ஒருவர் காத்திருங்கள்.
34 If any one is hungry, let him eat at home; so that your coming together may not lead to judgement. The other matters I will deal with whenever I come.
௩௪நீங்கள் தண்டனைக்கு ஏதுவாகக் கூடிவராதபடிக்கு, ஒருவனுக்குப் பசியிருந்தால் வீட்டிலே சாப்பிடவேண்டும். மற்றக்காரியங்களை நான் வரும்போது திட்டமாக சொல்லுவேன்.
