1 Corinthians 11
1 Be imitators of me, in so far as I in turn am an imitator of Christ.
Varer mine efterföljare, såsom ock jag Christi.
2 Now I commend you for remembering me in everything, and because you hold fast truths and practices precisely as I have taught them to you.
Käre bröder, jag prisar eder, att I tänken på mig i all stycke, och hållen det sätt, som jag eder föresatt hafver.
3 I would have you know, however, that of every man, Christ is the Head, that of a woman her husband is the Head, and that God is Christ's Head.
Så vill jag, att I veta skolen, att Christus är hvars och ens mans hufvud; men mannen är qvinnones hufvud; men Gud är Christi hufvud.
4 A man who wears a veil when praying or prophesying dishonors his Head;
Hvar och en man, som beder, eller propheterar, och hafver något på hufvudet, han skämmer sitt hufvud.
5 but a woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her Head, for it is exactly the same as if she had her hair cut short.
Men en qvinna, som beder eller propheterar med ohöljdt hufvud, hon skämmer sitt hufvud; ty det vore icke annars, än som hon vore rakad.
6 If a woman will not wear a veil, let her also cut off her hair. But since it is a dishonor to a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her wear a veil.
Vill hon icke hölja sig, så skare ock håret med af; nu, efter det står illa att henne är håret afskoret, eller afrakadt, så hölje sig.
7 For a man ought not to have a veil on his head, since he is the image and glory of God; while woman is the glory of man.
Men mannen skall icke hölja sitt hufvud; ty han är Guds beläte och ära; men qvinnan är mansens ära.
8 Man does not take his origin from woman, but woman takes hers from man.
Ty mannen är icke af qvinnone; utan qvinnan af mannenom.
9 For man was not created for woman's sake, but woman for man's.
Och mannen är icke skapad för qvinnones skull; utan qvinnan för mansens skull.
10 That is why a woman ought to have on her head a symbol of subjection, because of the angels.
Derföre skall qvinnan hafva ena magt på hufvudet, för Änglarnas skull.
11 Yet, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man nor man independent of woman.
Dock är hvarken mannen utan qvinnone, eller qvinnan utan mannen, i Herranom.
12 For just as woman originates from man, so also man comes into existence through woman, but everything springs originally from God.
Ty såsom qvinnan är af mannenom, så är ock mannen genom qvinnona; men alltsammans af Gudi.
13 Judge of this for your own selves: is it seemly for a woman to pray to God when she is unveiled?
Dömer vid eder sjelfva, om det är dägeligit, att en qvinna beder Gud ohöljd?
14 Does not Nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it is a dishonor to him,
Eller lärer icke naturen eder det, att enom man är vanheder, om han hafver långt hår;
15 but that if a woman has long hair it is her glory, because her hair was given her for a covering?
Men qvinnone är ära, att hon hafver långt hår? Håret är henne gifvet till att skyla sig med.
16 But if any one is inclined to be contentious on the point, we have no such custom, nor have the Churches of God.
Är det ock någor ibland eder, den i detta ärendet enträten är, han vete, att vi hafve icke den seden; och icke Guds församlingar heller.
17 But while giving you these instructions, there is one thing I cannot praise--your meeting together, with bad rather than good results.
Men detta måste jag befalla: Jag kan icke prisa, att I tillhopakommen, icke till förbättring, utan till förvärring.
18 for, in the first place, when you meet as a Church, there are divisions among you. This is what I am told, and I believe that there is some truth in it.
I förstone, när I kommen tillhopa i församlingene, hörer jag att ibland eder är skiljaktighet; det jag ock väl endels tror.
19 For there must of necessity be differences of opinion among you, in order that it may be plainly seen who are the men of sterling worth among you.
Ty ibland eder måste ju vara parti, på det de rättsinnige skola varda uppenbare ibland eder.
20 When, however, you meet in one place, there is no eating the Supper of the Lord;
När I nu tillhopakommen, så håller man då icke Herrans Nattvard.
21 for it is his own supper of which each of you is in a hurry to partake, and one eats like a hungry man, while another has already drunk to excess.
Ty då man skall hålla nattvard, tager hvar och en sin egen nattvard framföre åt; och den ene hungrar, den andre är drucken.
22 Why, have you no homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you wish to show your contempt for the Church of God and make those who have no homes feel ashamed? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this matter I certainly do not praise you.
Hafven I nu icke hus, der I uti äta eller dricka mågen? Eller förakten I Guds församling, och skämmen dem som intet hafva? Hvad skall jag säga eder? Skall jag prisa eder? Häruti prisar jag eder intet.
23 For it was from the Lord that I received the facts which, in turn, I handed on to you; how that the Lord Jesus, on the night He was to be betrayed, took some bread,
Ty jag hafver undfått af Herranom, det jag ock eder gifvit hafver: ty Herren Jesus, i den natten, då han förrådder vardt, tog han brödet;
24 and after giving thanks He broke it and said, "This is my body which is about to be broken for you. Do this in memory of me."
Tackade, bröt det, och sade: Tager, äter; detta är min lekamen, som för eder brytes; detta görer till min åminnelse.
25 In the same way, when the meal was over, He also took the cup. "This cup," He said, "is the new Covenant of which my blood is the pledge. Do this, every time that you drink it, in memory of me."
Sammalunda ock kalken, efter nattvarden, och sade: Denne kalk är det nya Testamentet i minom blod; detta görer, så ofta I dricken, till min åminnelse.
26 For every time that you eat this bread and drink from the cup, you are proclaiming the Lord's death--until He returns.
Ty så ofta I äten af detta bröd, och dricken af denna kalk, skolen I förkunna Herrans död, tilldess han kommer.
27 Whoever, therefore, in an unworthy manner, eats the bread or drinks from the cup of the Lord sins against the body and blood of the Lord.
Hvilken nu ovärdeliga äter af detta bröd, eller dricker af Herrans kalk, han blifver saker på Herrans lekamen och blod.
28 But let a man examine himself, and, having done that, then let him eat the bread and drink from the cup.
Men pröfve menniskan sig sjelfva, och äte så af det brödet, och dricke af den kalken.
29 For any one who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgement to himself, if he fails to estimate the body aright.
Ty den ovärdeliga äter och dricker, han äter och dricker sig sjelfvom domen, icke åtskiljandes Herrans lekamen.
30 That is why many among you are sickly and out of health, and why not a few die.
Derföre äro ock månge svage och kranke ibland eder, och en stor del sofva.
31 If, however, we estimated ourselves aright, we should not be judged.
Ty om vi sjelfve dömde oss, så vorde vi icke dömde.
32 But when we are judged by the Lord, chastisement follows, to save us from being condemned along with the world.
Men då vi dömde varde, så varde vi näpste af Herranom; på det vi icke med verldene skole fördömde varda.
33 Therefore, brethren, when you come together for this meal, wait for one another.
Derföre, mine käre bröder, när I tillhopakommen till att äta, så bide den ene den andra.
34 If any one is hungry, let him eat at home; so that your coming together may not lead to judgement. The other matters I will deal with whenever I come.
Men hungrar någor, han äte hemma; på det I icke tillhopakommen till fördömelse. Det andra vill jag skicka, när jag kommer.
