Zechariah 3
1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
Ja hän osoitti minulle ylimmäisen papin Josuan, joka seisoi Herran enkelin edessä: ja saatana seisoi hänen oikialla kädellänsä, seisomassa häntä vastaan.
2 And the LORD said to Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: [is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Ja Herra sanoi saatanalle: Herra rangaiskoon sinua, saatana, se Herra sinua rangaiskoon, joka Jerusalemin valitsi! Eikö tämä ole kekäle, joka tulesta temmattu on?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
Ja Josua oli puetettu saastaisilla vaatteilla, ja seisoi enkelin edessä.
4 And he answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, Behold, I have caused thy iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
Joka vastasi ja sanoi niille, jotka hänen tykönänsä olivat, sanoen: ottakaat häneltä pois saastaiset vaatteet; ja hän sanoi hänelle: katso, minä olen ottanut sinulta pois sinun syntis, ja puettanut sinun juhlavaatteisiin.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair miter upon his head. So they set a fair miter upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
Ja sanoi: pankaat puhdas lakki hänen päähänsä. Ja he panivat puhtaan lakin hänen päähänsä, ja puettivat hänen vaatteisiin. Ja Herran enkeli seisoi siinä.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested to Joshua, saying,
Ja Herran enkeli todisti Josualle ja sanoi:
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
Näin sanoo Herra Zebaot: jos sinä vaellat minun teilläni, ja jos sinä pidät minun vartioni, niin sinä saat minun huonettani hallita, ja minun kartanoitani varjella; ja minä annan sinulle näistä muutamia, jotka tässä seisovat, saattamaan sinua.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they [are] men wondered at: for behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
Kuule nyt, Josua, sinä ylimmäinen pappi, sinä ja sinun ystäväs, jotka sinun edessäs asuvat; sillä he ovat ihmeelliset miehet: katso, minä annan palveliani, Vesan tulla.
9 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone [shall be] seven eyes; behold, I will engrave the graving of it saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Sillä katso, se on se kivi, jonka minä panen Josuan eteen, ja sillä yhdellä kivellä on seitsemän silmää; katso, minä tahdon sen vuolla, sanoo Herra Zebaot, ja tahdon sen maan synnit ottaa pois yhtenä päivänä.
10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig-tree.
Silloin, sanoo Herra Zebaot, kukin kutsuu kumppaninsa viinapuunsa ja fikunapuunsa alle.
