Song of Solomon 6
1 Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
女のうちの最も美しい者よ、あなたの愛する者はどこへ行ったか。あなたの愛する者はどこへおもむいたか。わたしたちはあなたと一緒にたずねよう。
2 My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
わが愛する者は園の中で、群れを飼い、またゆりの花を取るために自分の園に下り、かんばしい花の床へ行きました。
3 I [am] my beloved's, and my beloved [is] mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
わたしはわが愛する人のもの、わが愛する者はわたしのものです。彼はゆりの花の中で、その群れを飼っています。
4 Thou [art] beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as [an army] with banners.
わが愛する者よ、あなたは美しいことテルザのごとく、麗しいことエルサレムのごとく、恐るべきこと旗を立てた軍勢のようだ。
5 Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair [is] as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.
あなたの目はわたしを恐れさせるゆえ、わたしからそむけてください。あなたの髪はギレアデの山を下るやぎの群れのようだ。
6 Thy teeth [are] as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, of which every one beareth twins, and [there is] not one barren among them.
あなたの歯は洗い場から上ってきた雌羊の群れのようだ。みな二子を産んで、一匹も子のないものはない。
7 As a piece of pomegranate [are] thy temples within thy locks.
あなたのほおは顔おおいのうしろにあって、ざくろの片われのようだ。
8 There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, and virgins without number.
王妃は六十人、そばめは八十人、また数しれぬおとめがいる。
9 My dove, my undefiled is [but] one; she [is] the [only] one of her mother, she [is] the choice [one] of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; [yes], the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
わがはと、わが全き者はただひとり、彼女は母のひとり子、彼女を産んだ者の最愛の者だ。おとめたちは彼女を見て、さいわいな者ととなえ、王妃たち、そばめたちもまた、彼女を見て、ほめた。
10 Who [is] she [that] looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, [and] terrible as [an army] with banners?
「このしののめのように見え、月のように美しく、太陽のように輝き、恐るべき事、旗を立てた軍勢のような者はだれか」。
11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, [and] to see whether the vine flourished, [and] the pomegranates budded.
わたしは谷の花を見、ぶどうが芽ざしたか、ざくろの花が咲いたかを見ようと、くるみの園へ下っていった。
12 Or ere I was aware, my soul made me [like] the chariots of Amminadib.
わたしの知らないうちに、わたしの思いは、わたしを車の中のわが君のかたわらにおらせた。
13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
帰れ、帰れ、シュラムの女よ、帰れ、帰れ、わたしたちはあなたを見たいものだ。あなたがたはどうしてマハナイムの踊りを見るようにシュラムの女を見たいのか。
