Song of Solomon 3
1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
Auf meinem Lager in den Nächten suchte ich, den meine Seele liebt; ich suchte ihn, aber ich fand ihn nicht!
2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
So stand ich denn auf und lief in der Stadt umher, auf den Straßen und Plätzen, und suchte, den meine Seele liebt; ich suchte ihn, aber ich fand ihn nicht!
3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: [to whom I said], Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Mich fanden die Wächter, welche die Runde machten in der Stadt. Habt ihr den gesehen, den meine Seele liebt?
4 [It was] but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
Kaum war ich an ihnen vorübergegangen, da fand ich, den meine Seele liebt. Ich hielt ihn fest und wollte ihn nicht mehr loslassen, bis ich ihn gebracht hätte in meiner Mutter Haus, ins Gemach derer, die mich empfangen hat.
5 I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake [my] love, till he please.
Ich beschwöre euch, ihr Töchter Jerusalems, bei den Gazellen oder bei den Hindinnen der Flur, daß ihr die Liebe nicht erreget noch erwecket, bis es ihr selbst gefällt!
6 Who [is] this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
Wer kommt da von der Wüste herauf? Es sieht aus wie Rauchsäulen von brennendem Weihrauch und Myrrhen, von allerlei Gewürzpulver der Krämer.
7 Behold his bed, which [is] Solomon's; sixty valiant men [are] about it, of the valiant of Israel.
Siehe, es ist seine Sänfte, die des Salomo, sechzig Helden sind ringsum, von den Stärksten Israels,
8 They all hold swords, [being] expert in war: every man [hath] his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.
alle mit Schwertern bewaffnet, im Fechten geübt, jeder sein Schwert an der Seite, damit nichts zu fürchten sei während der Nacht.
9 King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon.
Eine Sänfte hat sich der König Salomo gemacht aus Libanonholz.
10 He made its pillars [of] silver, the bottom of it [of] gold, the covering of it [of] purple, the midst of it being paved [with] love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.
Ihre Säulen machte er von Silber, ihre Lehne von Gold, ihren Sitz von Purpur, das Innere mit Liebe gestickt von den Töchtern Jerusalems.
11 Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown with which his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
Kommt heraus, ihr Töchter Zions, und beschauet den König Salomo in dem Kranz, mit welchem seine Mutter ihn bekränzt hat an seinem Hochzeitstag, am Tage der Freude seines Herzens!
