Romans 1
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated to the gospel of God,
ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കൎത്താവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു
2 (Which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures)
വിശുദ്ധരേഖകളിൽ തന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ മുഖാന്തരം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നായി വേർതിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട അപ്പൊസ്തലനും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനുമായ പൌലൊസ്
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh.
റോമയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രിയരും വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായ എല്ലാവൎക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു:
4 And declared [to be] the Son of God, with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നും കൎത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കൽനിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name:
ജഡം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽനിന്നു ജനിക്കയും മരിച്ചിട്ടു ഉയിൎത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയാൽ വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു ശക്തിയോടെ നിൎണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനാലല്ലോ ഞങ്ങൾ
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായി സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു അനുസരണം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു കൃപയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വവും പ്രാപിച്ചതു.
7 To all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
അവരിൽ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട നിങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം സൎവ്വലോകത്തിലും പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഞാൻ ആദ്യം തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാവൎക്കും വേണ്ടി സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,
ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളെ ഓൎത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താൽ എപ്പോൾ എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ സാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയിൽ എപ്പോഴും യാചിക്കുന്നു
10 Making request (if by any means now at length I may have a prosperous journey by the will of God) to come to you.
എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന്റെ പുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം എനിക്കു സാക്ഷി.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിന്നായി ആത്മികവരം വല്ലതും നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കേണ്ടതിന്നു,
12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you, by the mutual faith both of you and me.
അതായതു നിങ്ങൾക്കും എനിക്കും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ എനിക്കും ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാൻ വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I have often purposed to come to you (but have been hitherto hindered) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ശേഷം ജാതികളിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളിലും വല്ല ഫലവും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ പലപ്പോഴും ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ഇതുവരെ മുടക്കം വന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the barbarians, both to the wise, and to the unwise.
യവനന്മാൎക്കും ബൎബരന്മാൎക്കും ജ്ഞാനികൾക്കും ബുദ്ധിഹീനൎക്കും ഞാൻ കടക്കാരൻ ആകുന്നു.
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
അങ്ങനെ റോമയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളോടും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാൻ എന്നാൽ ആവോളം ഞാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
സുവിശേഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും അതു രക്ഷെക്കായി ദൈവശക്തിയാകുന്നുവല്ലോ.
17 For in this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
അതിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി വിശ്വാസം ഹേതുവായും വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു. “നീതിമാൻ വിശ്വാസത്താൽ ജീവിക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
അനീതികൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തെ തടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ സകല അഭക്തിക്കും അനീതിക്കും നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു.
19 Because that which may be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shown [it] to them.
ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അറിയാകുന്നതു അവൎക്കു വെളിവായിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം അവൎക്കു വെളിവാക്കിയല്ലോ.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (aïdios g126)
അവന്റെ നിത്യശക്തിയും ദിവ്യത്വവുമായി അവന്റെ അദൃശ്യലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ലോകസൃഷ്ടിമുതൽ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ ബുദ്ധിക്കു തെളിവായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അവൎക്കു പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. (aïdios g126)
21 Because that when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
അവർ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ ദൈവമെന്നു ഓൎത്തു മഹത്വീകരിക്കയോ നന്ദി കാണിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ നിരൂപണങ്ങളിൽ വ്യൎത്ഥരായിത്തീൎന്നു, അവരുടെ വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയം ഇരുണ്ടുപോയി.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools:
ജ്ഞാനികൾ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവർ മൂഢരായിപ്പോയി;
23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping animals.
അക്ഷയനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെ അവർ ക്ഷയമുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ, പക്ഷി, നാൽക്കാലി, ഇഴജാതി എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപസാദൃശ്യമായി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലെ മോഹങ്ങളിൽ സ്വന്തശരീരങ്ങളെ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ അവമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അശുദ്ധിയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം അവർ വ്യാജമാക്കി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനെക്കാൾ സൃഷ്ടിയെ ഭജിച്ചു ആരാധിച്ചു; അവൻ എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ആമേൻ. (aiōn g165)
26 For this cause God gave them up to vile affections. For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ അവമാനരാഗങ്ങളിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീകൾ സ്വാഭാവികഭോഗത്തെ സ്വഭാവവിരുദ്ധമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
അവ്വണ്ണം പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്വാഭാവികസ്ത്രീഭോഗം വിട്ടു അന്യോന്യം കാമം ജ്വലിച്ചു ആണോടു ആൺ അവലക്ഷണമായതു പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭ്രമത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമായ പ്രതിഫലം തങ്ങളിൽ തന്നേ പ്രാപിച്ചു.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
ദൈവത്തെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ധരിപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാഞ്ഞതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരെ ഉചിതമല്ലാത്തതു ചെയ്‌വാൻ നികൃഷ്ടബുദ്ധിയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
അവർ സകല അനീതിയും ദുഷ്ടതയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും ദുൎബ്ബുദ്ധിയും നിറഞ്ഞവർ; അസൂയ, കൊല, പിണക്കം, കപടം, ദുശ്ശീലം എന്നിവ തിങ്ങിയവർ,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents,
കുരളക്കാർ, ഏഷണിക്കാർ, ദൈവദ്വേഷികൾ, നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാർ, ഗർവ്വിഷ്ഠന്മാർ, ആത്മപ്രശംസക്കാർ, പുതുദോഷം സങ്കല്പിക്കുന്നവർ, മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവർ,
31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
ബുദ്ധിഹീനർ, നിയമലംഘികൾ, വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവർ, കനിവറ്റവർ
32 Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death; not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
ഈ വക പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവർ മരണയോഗ്യർ എന്നുള്ള ദൈവന്യായം അവർ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവയെ പ്രവൎത്തിക്ക മാത്രമല്ല പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവരിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കയുംകൂടെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
