< Revelation 5 >

1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
Then I saw in the right hand of him who sits on the throne a scroll written on the inside and outside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose its seals?
And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look upon it.
But no one in heaven above or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or look into it.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open, and to read the book, neither to look upon it.
So I began to weep loudly because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look into it.
5 And one of the elders saith to me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose its seven seals.
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered; he is the one who can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living beings, and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Then I saw a Lamb that looked like it had been slain; he was standing among the elders in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
He went and took the scroll out of the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four living beings, and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.
When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which contain the prayers of the saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals of it: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and language, and people, and nation;
And they sang a new song: “Worthy are yoʋ to take the scroll and open its seals, for yoʋ were slain, and by yoʋr blood yoʋ redeemed us for God out of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.
10 And hast made us to our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Yoʋ have made them kings and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and the living beings, and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Then I looked, and I heard something like the voice of many angels coming from around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. Their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
and they were saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, [be] to him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor, glory and power, forever and ever! Amen.” (aiōn g165)
14 And the four living beings said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshiped him that liveth for ever and ever.
And I heard the four living creatures saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.
